Despite his large size and many scars, there’s a lingering sense of fear around him

Quillsplash, or Bird, is a fearful creature. He doesn’t trust easily, and not even time can really wear down his walls. He’s constantly on his guard and trying to find reasons to convince himself not to trust others. Despite this, once his trust is earned, it’d take a lot to break it too. Once he has an impression of someone, it hardly ever changes, even if one he thought to be good turned out to be bad, he might find himself standing on their side, defending their actions until there’s nothing left to say. He’s stupidly loyal, and will do anything for the few cats he has grown to care for. He’s able to stand up for himself, even if he does it while trembling on the inside. In that aspect, he’s good at ignoring his feelings most of the time. The constant fear that plagues him can easily be pushed away to make way for quick-thinking and rather good leadership.
Surprisingly, he’s also rather kind. Quillsplash always tries his best to take other’s emotions into account when doing something, and though he may sometimes overthink, the effort put into simple lessons or patrol planning does turn out well most of the time. He feels a special kinship towards rogues or loners, whether they be former rogues or current. He can never treat them too harshly, opting for warning them off the territory or even giving them a few tips as to where to go instead of chasing them off. He’s prickly on the outside and soft on the inside, and those who are close to him will get a chance to see his emotions. He’s a touchy character, and enjoys physical touches. He’s not so big on words– doesn’t say much unless needed– but he tries to give out praises where praise is due.
While he’s not exactly rude, he finds it hard to be polite to cats he doesn't like. He struggles with obeying figures of authority, and would much rather take instructions from cats he trusts than his leader or deputy. He doesn’t think highly of StarClan or the Warrior Code, thanks to his mother’s influence, but he follows along anyway just to keep things peaceful and easy for himself. He tries his best to avoid conflict, and takes criticism rather poorly. He doesn’t react outright, but his inner feelings will be in turmoil, and he is unlikely to forget even that small slip of tongue anytime soon.
Quillsplash has low self-esteem and does not think highly of himself. That, coupled with his fearful nature and conflict-avoidant style, makes him look like a coward. What he doesn't give himself credit for is all the times he’s pushed through regardless of his fears to take charge of the situation or protect someone.

Bird takes after his father in terms of build, carrying the typical sturdy Thunderclan legs and wide shoulders. His fur is a patchwork of Cedarstalk's and Copperlark's, defined stripes running across flame-coloured fur and disappearing into fur black as night only to emerge again with paler tips that only lighten further down his tail and legs. He has his father's dark amber eyes. His tail is thick and fluffy, like Cedarstalk's. His face was a bit more angular, slanting down into a longer muzzle, like Copperlark’s did.
