Larkshine Tier 3 Warrior | Shadowclan | She/Her
The night was warm and lively and Larkshine was ready to go patrolling around the territory like she would often do before she went blind in one of her eyes. She decided to ask another warrior to go with her since she wasn’t confident enough to go out on her own anymore. She made her way through the camp and noticed Quillsplash near the entrance of camp. ‘Perfect’
“Hello Quillsplash!” She chirped happily as she trotted up to the tom. Larkshine hadn’t really talked to the warrior since she was a kit, and he was an apprentice. “Would you like to go out patrolling with me?” Her golden eye shimmered in the moonlight. Quillsplash would be lying if he said he wasn't surprised to be approached by Larkshine. Most of his clanmates did not interact with him if they could help it, and they certainly did not start it often. And he didn't mind it at all. Staying within his little, almost pathetic social circle was just fine with him. It gave him no troubles, no grief, no drama, and no pain. Still, he wasn't one to reject another cat's offer simply because he wasn't close with them. "Sure. Would this be a hunting or border patrol?" Quillsplash agreed easily, not even a little bit taken aback by the she-cat's excitement. Something told him she was trying to push herself to return to how life was before... his gaze flashed briefly to her missing eye before darting away. Subconsciously, he took a little step to the side where her seeing eye was.

“Um kinda a border patrol! Its not an official patrol, its just something I like to do every once in a while!” Larkshine chirped as she pranced out of camp with the older warrior. She left out the part where she did this every night before she went hunting, but that was before she lost vision in her eye. “I just like to make sure there aren’t no pesky predators lingering around or any rogues, ya know?” She noticed Quillsplash had decided to walk on her good side, but that didn’t bother her one bit.
As they trekked further into Shadowclan territory, Larkshine took a moment to assess her surroundings. A stench quickly filled the air and the warrior’s hair stood on end. “I think there is a fox nearby!” She quietly hissed before moving toward the smell. She quietly moved through the underbrush until a slick burnt orange pelt was visible. Its back was turn to the molly as it tore into a rather large hare. She rocked on her hunches and her tail swished behind her. Larkshine darted out of the brushes and clamped her pointy white teeth down on the fox’s hind leg. It jumped up, startled by her presence and shook her off its leg. Larkshine landed a few tail lengths away and growled at the beast.
Larkshine used Bite (-8HP/-5EP) + Surprise Attack (+3 damage/-10EP) on the fox for a total of -11HP and -15EP
Larkshine: 45HP / 85EP (-15EP) (Disability/Disadvantage Penalty: -5 HP / -30 EP for being half blind [Original Stats: 50HP/130EP])
The smell of prey lingered in the air; a pain rippled through the fox's stomach as it trotted after the scent. It had been a few day since it last ate and drool dripped out its mouth as its amber eyes locked onto a juicy hare. It darted forward and latched onto the fuzzy creature and violently shook it until it went limp. It quicky started ripping into the creature and started eating it, totally unaware of the cats who snuck up on it. A sharp pain in its hind leg made the fox jump up into the air and whip around as quickly as possible. Its dagger sharp teeth snapped onto the cat's tail causing it to bend in an unnatural way, before it hunched up and growled at the vicious little creatures.
Fox used Iron Bite on Larkshine for -17HP and -30EP

Just as quickly as they left the camp, a predator was spotted. Good thing Larkshine thought to go on a border patrol first, Quillsplash thought, a shiver running down his spine at the thought that he could have run into this creature when he was hunting alone at a later time. The younger she-cat swiftly threw herself at the fox, and he followed suit, running forward to hurl himself onto the fox. His claws sank into its shoulders, and roughly he shoved the larger beast into the ground, holding it in place.

A sharp pain shot up Larkshine’s back as the beast clamped down on her tail and she released an ear-piercing yowl! Quillsplash was quick to jump in on the fight and she couldn’t thank him enough! The young grey and cream-colored molly ran forward ready to dig her claws into the fox’s soft stomach, but he collapsed onto the ground as she tried to slide under it. She was briefly caught under the fox but wiggled out quickly.
She shook the mud from her pelt and aimed for a better position. Quillsplash had a good hold on the beast which gave her time to find a good spot to attack from.
Larkshine Failed attempt at Belly Rake for -5HP / -10EP
As soon as its jaws released the cat who attacked it, another cat was on him causing him to crash to the ground. It took the fox a few moments of wiggling and squirming to throw the cat off. He darted back a few paces and looked at it’s hare. A rumble in its stomach reminded the creature that it was hungry. Fury burned in its eyes and pelt as it growled and darted in towards its food. It wasn’t ready to leave its food behind and it wasn’t going down without a fight!

Quillsplash hissed in frustration. Larkshine had failed to land any hits on the fox, and in all that struggling the fox had also broken free of his hold. This really wasn't good... maybe, if they scared the fox enough, it'd run off, and they could return to camp to have Larkshine's wounds patched up and have Sablestrike send out a larger patrol to hunt down the fox. Or, if they were unable to scare the fox away, they could make a run for it. It wasn't ideal, but... two warriors just weren't enough to tackle such a large predator without suffering major injuries. The tortoiseshell lunged forward to sink his fangs into the fox's leg, letting go just in time to avoid a swipe.

Fear washed over Larkshine as the fox broke out of Quillsplash’s hold. The fox wasn’t facing her anymore though and once again she sprang forward in hopes of raking at the beast’s soft underbelly.
Larkshine’s body crashed to the ground as the mud carried her under the fox. Her claws sank into its flesh, and she kicked as hard as she could with her back feet a few times before rolling out from underneath the now bloody creature.
Larkshine used Belly Rake for -16 HP and -10 EP

Pain radiated through the hind leg of the fox and a yowl rang through the forest. It turned ready to snap at the cat who had bitten its ankle but before it could close its teeth around the pest, another one was slamming against the ground and digging her claws into its stomach. Another sound of pain rang out from the fox.
The cats were annoying, but it was starving and needed something to eat. The fox growled and snapped at the nearest cat but only made contact with flesh. The fox growled as its eyes darted back and forth between the two cats. It felt cornered and running wasn't an option. It was weak and losing a lot of blood. The only hope was to stand its ground in hopes the cats would run away.
