I forgot to say that I was going to be MIA during the last weeks of may due to a scientific congress I had to participate in. Luckily, the congress was yesterday (even won the best poster defence, yay!) So I'm back.

Okay well, today I found out I was diabetic. I pretty much had that suspicion anyway, given that I only have 20% of my pancreas left. I'm still not thrilled, but it is something I was mentally preparing for and I feel I can handle. I will try managing it with diet and see how that goes. However, other blood tests brought things up that I found disturbing and scary. I have a high count of different kinds of infection fighting cells that may indicate anything from too much stress on my body, to an infection that is brewing somewhere inside me and it might get ugly, to full blown cancer. Hey guys, it's no secret that my activity has been unacceptably low lately, and I want to start off by apologizing for failing to be more active as both a moderator and a high rank. The truth is, I've been going through a lot irl lately. I found out a couple months ago that I'm pregnant so I've been super stressed trying to figure out how to restructure the plans I had for my life. Not only that, but I'm getting ready to graduate high school so trying to juggle work, exams, and my onsite responsibilities has been chaotic and exhausting. Due to this, along with the fact that I recently had to euthanize...

Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that I won't be around really at all from Fri-Tues. We take a mother's day trip to the beach every year so I will be away from my PC and my phone for the majority of the next fiveish days.

I'm going to be pretty busy for the rest of this month, both taking care to prevent burnout and dealing with personal events in my life; from being home alone for the next week or so (and so having extra responsibilities that aren't usually mine to deal with) to a convention near the end of the month that I'll be pretty busy with. Hi hi friends, here's going to hopefully be my last update regarding the chaos of the month of April.

I have three very big finals due this week. One of them is my Capstone, another is a PHP project (if you ever have done any programming and touched PHP, it is... a beast. Very few people like it), and another is database designing. I've also got a biostatistics exam at some point in there.

Apparently, this month has decided to be nothing but chaotic for me.

Aside from Easter and finals, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed on Friday, April 14th. I don't know how long I'll be recovering, but I know I'll probably have a rather angry migraine!

Just wanted to let u know why I've been a bit inactive from the site lately and why I'll be a bit more inactive, probably for another week or so.

My dog has to have major surgery this week and we're all very worried about it at home, even though the doctors are fairly optimistic. She gets that on Thursday and the recovery period is two weeks, where we'll have to monitor her closely to make sure she isn't messing with her stitches.

Hey, so I’ve been having seizures and they’re getting worse. It’s a long story why but I don’t have a diagnosis yet. For a couple hours leading up to a seizure and several hours after my head is a little foggy. So I’ll try to get important topics (like the Controlled Chaos birth) done but I may be a bit slow on other things until we figure this out.

I'll be on a flight down south tomorrow. Flight was planned, my inclusion was not and is very last minute and outside of my control. My dreams of a quiet weekend have gone up in smoke. I predict lots of running around and will only have access to mobile. I'll stay on top of any ceremonies that come up (even if they won't be up to my usual post quality) and will try to take care of important threads but the rest of my posting will likely have to wait until I return Monday night (or, more realistically, Tuesday.)

Has it really already been three months since the last one? Time sure does fly by- a lot has happened in the past few months both on site and in real life, and I'm sure that's true for everyone else as well. A lot of unexpected events on all sides.

I joined WCC on December 29, 2021. I was only a year younger then than I am now, but I was just a baby in terms of roleplaying skill and experience. I’d done a little 1x1 (very badly) a long time ago and never had I participated in a group RP, much less a complex site like this one. I was looking for a Warriors simulation game at the time, essentially Clan Gen, but it either didn’t exist or wasn’t popular yet. And for that I am grateful. Thanks to my lack of good timing, I found nothing. For some reason I decided to try an RP site instead. I’m glad I did.

i'm going to preface this with an apology - my activity levels have not been at the level a HR especially a deputy should be and i'm sorry for dropping the ball like this. I have been stalking and keeping track of things but unfortunately have lacked the time/energy to do much more than that. to keep it simple, my 3 year relationship just ended and it's been really rough dealing with the fallout + i'm currently doing 30+ hour weeks at work and i'm in a retail job so by the time I get home I generally have no energy left for anything except catching up on reading everything....

So my closing date on my first house next week on the 13th. We (me and Matt) will be officially moving in the weekend following it. I have to focus on getting furniture, setting things up, unpacking, all of that. Then we will need to get a fence built around our half acre because I will be getting a dog in August. So I will be very very busy this month and will pretty much not be around until January, and even then, it may be the end of January. I will still respond to very important threads but I will need a reminder pretty much every day. Don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!

Retiring Announcement

I debated posting a member announcement detailing why I decided to step down (and ultimately away from WCC, at least for a few weeks), but after some thought and reflection, decided that hopefully it might do some good to share. This is also not intended to bring anyone down or hurt feelings, but more than anything to prevent it from happening again. I joined WCC when I was around eleven or twelve years old. WCC, in a way, had a hand in raising me in the absence...

So you guys probably saw this coming for a bit, seeing as my activity has drastically dropped, but I have made the decision to step away from the site, possibly for good. It is nothing personal, but I have found that I no longer wish to roleplay warrior cats. I can no longer bring myself to sit at the computer and write posts for this site when I don't enjoy the content I am making. I guess you can say I have moved on to greener pastures.

I'm taking a mini vacation this week! I am heading to a city about four hours away and will be there for a couple days for a concert and then usual thanksgiving stuff.
