the other day i found out that my maternal grandfather got some blood clots in his foot, and there was a very real possibility that his leg would have to be amputated, and sure enough, it does. my grandparents on that side of the family live 4 hours away from where my parents do, so we’re making a last-minute trip down there for the week to support my grandmother, as my grandfather’s amputation is guaranteed to put him in a nursing home for the rest of his life, since he has dementia as well. posting might be slow this week, and i apologize in advance for my potential slowness to posting...

My cat has been having repeat episodes of feline idiopathic Cystitis since mid May. My bank account is drained trying to fix the problem. He will show signs, then recover, then show signs maybe a week or two later. He had a case of pancreatitis in the middle of all of this as well. Today he began showing signs of frequent urination and in small amounts. All 3 times I rushed him to the emergency vet he had no bacteria and no Crystals and no blockages.

His bloodwork looks fine too. He is literally just having inflammation of his urinary tract. We can't pin down the cause, so I'm thinking...

There has been a lot of stuff going on, even though it has been a little over two months since my mother’s sudden death. Some of you who are in the Discord might know that I had to go the emergency room recently due to a problem with my arm which was diagnosed to be a blood clot. The good news is that they decided it wasn't serious enough to need immediate intervention, but the bad news is that they decided it was too serious to leave to resolve itself. They put me on a blood-thinner, got me an appointment with a doctor who deals with this stuff, and they determined the best course of action is to remove the clot manually.

Back then, I'd been in a writing slump for the longest time, and I had wanted to find something that'd give me the motivation to practice. Some of you may have noticed I have been ridiculously inactive recently, and that’s because of two things:

1. I have a bunch of major tests right around the corner and I need to study literally all the time

And 2. I was recently diagnosed with a bad kind of chest pain and it’s been bugging the heck out of me. Between the pain, the painkillers, and the massive list of painkiller side-effects (everything from sneezing to stroke), I don’t really have the energy to do much but lay around.
