My cat has been having repeat episodes of feline idiopathic Cystitis since mid May. My bank account is drained trying to fix the problem. He will show signs, then recover, then show signs maybe a week or two later. He had a case of pancreatitis in the middle of all of this as well. Today he began showing signs of frequent urination and in small amounts. All 3 times I rushed him to the emergency vet he had no bacteria and no Crystals and no blockages.

His bloodwork looks fine too. He is literally just having inflammation of his urinary tract. We can't pin down the cause, so I'm thinking it is probably stress related.

Anyway, I hate seeing my animals in pain. It brings me down and absolutely destroys my muse. He's been suffering for so long and I have exhausted my options at this point that I am considering putting my friend down. This is a very big emotional blow, as I got him as a kitten when I was 16 and now he is an old man at 13. I may just need some time away from a site centered around cats for awhile. I am really hoping I don't have to say goodbye to my friend, but I may have to.
