I'll be a mix of MIA / slow this week, as it's Easter week. I sing in my church choir, so it has affectionately been dubbed "Holy Heck Week." On top of it, I'm behind on college work. It's about three weeks to the end of the semester, and I'm in a project-based major. So... a lot of insanity.

This is a late activity notice and more of an explanation. A few of you know that last Wednesday I received a positive result for COVID. At first, the symptoms weren't that bad but they got worst by midnight and I've been really sick until yesterday. I've been trying to post, but my activity during these past days had suffered anyways. seer and the horrible no-good month continues, unfortunately. in the past seven days i’ve:
- attended multiple funerals with more still to go.
- dealt with a tornado tearing up my immediate area.
- dealt with a massive wildfire more or less sitting directly on my front doorstep (which is still a thing that just refuses to be contained at all lol).

So Tuesday I went into the ER from work for having a weird traveling, crushing ache. It started in my stomach, then I ate something thinking I was just really hungry, then the pain traveled to my left arm/heart area. I have cardiac issues, so I freaked out a little and left work to get it looked at. Sitting in the very busy ED room, it traveled to my back. My blood work and heart is actually entirely fine, but they found something on my pancreas. ER doc described it as a cyst, which most pancreatic cysts are benign, but there is a chance it could be malignant. I won't know for sure what it is for...

So first I want to apologize for being so spotty recently - it was not my intention nor in my plans to be, as it usually is. I've filled the staff team in on most of this, so now it's time for the site as well. So for the last week, I've been fighting an upper respiratory illness. Exactly what the title says. I've enjoyed being a part of the staff team and helping the site, but recently being on staff has proven to be more stressful than anything. Disagreements happen, and some things can be compromised on and resolved quickly. Sometimes things just don't work out despite multiple attempts from all sides to make things work and it's through no fault of anyone on the team. This decision has been building for a while, and as I've always said it's more important to step back and focus on wellbeing rather than to keep putting more stress on one's shoulders. Some of you might have noticed that my activity has been a bit less-than-stellar lately. This is mostly due to work, but on the 21st I'll be going into surgery. I'm not sure if this will increase or lower activity, but I figured I would give out the warning regardless!

Those who have been following some personal developments in my life are already aware of a big life change and then a huge disappointment. In short, I’ve encountered a very discouraging setback in my life plans. Because of this recent event, I will be taking a brief mental health pause from WCC from now until the 20th of this month to maintain healthy habits and behaviors. Falcon has graciously agreed to step up and handle warrior ceremonies and plot topics until my imminent return, and staff is aware and fully prepared to assist. Please direct questions regarding WindClan to them.

I'm taking a small break from the site. I don't know how long it could span, from a few days to about 2 months, but hopefully not that long. With the recent announcement of Berrypaw stepping down, I will be taking a break. See you guys soon :)

Yeah, so I sort of, maybe, went away for a little bit of an unexpected hiatus. Life was hitting hard for literally no reason, so I had to step away.

For those of you who are curious as to what exactly happened, all I am really comfortable saying right now is that I was placed in a behavioral health center, and got the help and medication I needed. That being said, to further aid my recovery, I am going to put myself on a tight schedule. So all of my posting will be done on Thursdays or Fridays during the days, so that I have a bit more time instead of feeling rushed.

Starting around the beginning of October, I wasn’t on much or replying quickly. My schoolwork was starting to pick up, and I didn’t have much time for WCC. I also did not have my own computer at the time. After I finally got my own, it made things a lot easier. This burst of posting was soon brought to an end, since I got sick last week. I’m recovering and will be able to get back to normal soon. Hope this clears up where I’ve been!
