The leaves of the trees dance above the territory of Skyclan. Sun filtered through the leaves. Unease settled inside the camp. The messages.. The fourtrees.. What would their patrol find there? Would it be a dangerous task for them? Danger lurked just outside of the camp, danger stirred by what was occurring in the foutrees. In a flash of orange, four foxes entered the camp bursting through the entrance in a panic.
Four foxes have stumbled into Skyclan camp, having been aggravated by dogs that escaped from Fourtrees! You must defend your clanmates! Enemies are not able to be stunned or pinned!

Moonlily had just given the nod to her clanmates as they left to go to Fourtrees. News of the prophecy had left her fur bristling, but all around, a sense of unease had surrounded the elder warrior. She kept near camp, following orders to guard it as she always did. Even as their system had been put in place, there was still something lingering in her belly that told her to pay attention...
It was the panicked yipping that caught her attention first. That only meant one thing: "Foxes!" Moonlily yowled, loud enough she could only hope her clanmates heard her. There was really no time for the molly to think as she spurred herself to her paws. She saw the orange fur, and her legs surged in a bound to leap and attack at one of their pelts. They would not hurt her Clan. Not if she had any say.
Moonlily used jumping strike on Fox #1! She dealt 13 (10+3) damage and used 10 stamina.
Marigoldmask was one of the first to hear Moonlily's cry, followed next by the appearance of the creatures. "FOXES! Skyclan! Defend the camp!" She screeched, searching for her clanmate. As she saw Moonlily's fur just outside of camp, the white molly spent little time in thinking as she surged forward to go help her out. Claws extended, they went right for the fox that the fluffy feline had just gone after a second prior.
Marigoldmask used front paw strike on Fox #1! She dealt 8 damage and used 7 stamina.
Creamsky was relaxing outside of the warrior's den, thought he was on edge. He couldn't help but worry over what the patrol would find in Fourtrees... Was there a chance that they would find her...? Panic and doubt rose within him at the thought of facing Blackbear again - he didn't know where she was and he could only hope that she was still fine. He still felt so conflicted on how to feel, he wasn't ready...
This thoughts were shattered as yipping caught his ear, followed by four orange streaks bursting into the camp. His eyes widen as he jumped to his paws, ears perking at Moonlily's cries. Foxes? But why? Why now right after Birdstar and the others had left? His bared his teeth, fur prickling as Moonlily and Marigoldmask charged at the nearest one. "Keep them near the entrance of the camp!" he yowled as he jumped at one of the free foxes, ramming his paws into its side to gain its attention lest it head towards a weaker cat. "Don't let them near the nursery or elder's den!"
Creamsky used Jumping Strike on Fox #2, dealing 10 (7+3) damage and costing 7 stamina.
The sound of the warning calls reached Lightningpaw's ears moments before the threat reached her eyes, and she wasted no time at all in utilizing her quick reflexes to join in defending her home with her best friend. Foxes were powerful, and they were dangerous, but she had no shortage of confidence in herself or the cats around her. Sharp claws raked into orange fur, no time to try and strategize in the midst of a crisis.

Lightningpaw 20/20 HP 53/60 SP (-7)
Fox #2 44/60 HP (-6) 180/180 SP Mistpaw couldn't have possibly missed the appearance of four foxes into SkyClan's camp. The fear that suddenly filled her was overwhelming. What was she supposed to do? She was a skittish apprentice who could hardly bring herself to stalk a mouse for fear of Twoleg traps!
But this was her home, the place that should have been safe; and underneath the fear there was a sense of anger. How dare these intruders charge into her home, what should have been a sanctuary from the terrifying things that lurked outside it?
If she couldn't fight to protect the things she cared about, how would she ever call herself a warrior?
A split second later, she charged forward to attack.
Mistpaw used Snap on Fox #3, dealing 6 damage and costing 7 SP!
Stormwatcher was currently in the middle of a nap when everyone started yelling. He groaned rolling over... ugh they probably were wanting him on some patrol or something... but wasnt a large group already out??? how could they want even less warriors in camp.
He lazily cracked an eye open and let out a big yawn. As he actually came to he jerked up as the scent of fox and blood hit his nose.
He was awake now for sure. He looked dazed and confused around as their camp was being overrun... stars things were never easy were they?
He saw moon and marigold fighting one fox... creampaw on another with lightingpaw.
He full on panicked... this was so not good for his long term goals of living a happy life of peace and ease.
He let out a loud frustrated hiss of annoyance. The thought of running outta here did cross his mind, but Wolf really had done alot to change his attitude even if he would never admit it and the look on Stone's face when he hadnt helped with an owl was heartbreaking to him even if he would never admit that either...
So for them he would do his best to hold his ground but right now the odds didnt look good.
Mistpaw was attacking a fox nearby. He thought back to when he had freed her from that twoleg trap... it would be a shame if all that effort was for nothing and she died from this monster of a fox.
He hissed and ran at it just like he had the cage, full force body slamming at it and biting into the foxes leg not letting go

If Moonlily's yowls had not alerted the clan, the snapping of twigs around camp and the growls and yips of their foe would have. She had had an uneasy feeling about the prophecy and the patrol, especially sending her leader and sister, but this? Foxdung. To the dark forest with Starclan's prophecy if any of them got hurt. Wolfblossom had been sitting near the nursery with Quickkit, and upon the alarm being shouted, grabbed her daughter by the scruff and swiftly darted to the nursery. "I'm sorry - Stay here." She hissed, fur lifting as she spun.
"Protect the nursery and younger apprentices!" She yowled to her clanmates, and then there was no time to say anything else. A fox had made the mistake of heading her way, and Wolfblossom lunged forward to meet it with unsheathed claws and bared fangs. She'd kill this one, then she'd help her clanmates.

Graypaw had been startled from her half-napping by Moonlily's yowl, and golden eyes widened as creatures with sharp muzzles and bright orange fur burst through the camp's wall. Moonlily and Marigoldmask had leaped to defend against them, and so the apprentice darted forward, lashing out with her claws at the fox the two fought without a second thought. She heard her mother's snarl behind her... And icy fear gripped her just as the reality of what was happening sank in. Quickkit, her siblings... They had to drive these foxes off!
Graypaw used Front Paw Strike on Fox #1 for -7 sp, dealing -6 damage.
Rainpaw had been nervous. As soon as Birdstar left the camp with her party in tow, with discussions of a prophecy from the ever-mysterious Starclan and the hopeful idea of recovering their lost clanmates, Rainpaw had been on edge. He wanted to go with. He understood why he shouldn't, he was still an apprentice after all, but it frustrated him beyond measure. This was his second chance to go find Crookedpaw, and yet here he was, stuck in camp.
He’d begun pacing back and forth, wearing a track in the snow from his constant back and forth movements. His tail lashed with irritation back and forth, the usual neutral and calm apprentice worked up with nervous energy he had nowhere to put.
And then there was a cry of warning, high pitched yipping sounds, and all at once the camp erupted into chaos.
Rainpaw leapt to his feet. His fur stood on end. He’d never actually fought in a real battle, much less face foxes, but he didn’t have the time to hesitate. He needed to act and help protect his clanmates, and his home. He would not let these creatures drive them out of their camp.
His clanmates were converging and meeting the foxes. He hopped to his feet and ran to the nearest one, which was the one Wolfblossom was facing. He moved in beside his aunt. He didn’t allow himself to hesitate, lifting his paw and raking it across the fox’s orange pelt with a hiss of anger. All that nervous energy from before channeled itself into angry determination to succeed.
Rainpaw used Front Paw Strike on Fox #4, dealing -6 damage and costing -7 SP.
The sound of shouting reached Sunpaw's ears from where he'd been laying, in the lower limbs of a tree at the edge of camp. From his position, he watched as several foxes charged in, and were immediately assaulted by the rest of the clan. Curious, he sat and watched for a moment, as all four of the foxes were swarmed, the warriors and apprentices one by one taking arms against their intruders. Why would foxes attack a camp full of cats?
His claws sank into the bark as he watched, and eventually, the urge to join in too great to resist. He took aim, eyes narrowing gleefully on a the fox that was nearest to him - the one Stormwatcher and Mistpaw were fighting. He kicked down off the tree, dropping from above, directly on to the fox's head. He raked claws over its eyes, holding on as the fox bucked wildly beneath him in its attempts to get after Mistpaw.

Smokestep was rudely awakened by the sound of raised voices, a cry of FOXES causing the hair along her spine to stand up. Foxes? Here? Smokestep shivered in place as she stayed, frozen in her half-crouch, the sounds of mayhem outside growing louder and fiercer. She heard a cat cry out, the snarling and yipping of foxes, and that urged her into motion. Without really knowing why, or how she was going to help, Smokestep bounded out into the camp, ignoring every bit of the chaos around her. She made a beeline for the nursery, where she pressed herself inside and turned to block the entrance, every hair standing on end and making her look twice as large as she actually was. Bristling, growling, that's where she stood, steadfast and ready. She wasn't going to willingly leap into battle, but if one of these monsters wanted inside, they'd have to get through her first.
Smokestep is blocking the entrance to the nursery.
Practicing his tree flying, the apprentice curled his claws tighter into the bark. He pinned his ears flat and a furious growl ripped from his throat as he saw his clanmates start to battle the four foxes. Claws extended, and the apprentice leaped from his perch in a graceful motion, landing next to Mistpaw. His fur stood on end as he took a moment to nudge her shoulder with his own, giving her an encouraging and hopefully comforting smile before launching his own attack.
Movement above him caught his attention and he watched as his denmate leaped from a nearby tree and attacked the fox in front of them. Foxpaw's smile twisting into a grin, the black-furred apprentice attacked the fox's chest while Sunpaw went for the attack from above. Bloodstrike had a long, bloody history with foxes. He hated them more than anything else on earth. The sounds of the foxes caught his ears like the song of war drums. The giant striped tom made a kind of sputtering noise as he caught sight of them, some bestial snorting as painful, blood-filled memories surged to the forefront of his mind. There was no forest. There was no Skyclan. There was nothing but the foxes.
Bloodstrike powered himself forward and strong, sure-footed paws with the promise of murder and bloodshed in his piercing green gaze. He closed the gap between himself and one of the foxes with all of the determination and iron will of a freight train. The way he was breathing as adrenaline surged through him, he probably sounded like a steam engine too.
Bloodstrike was a bellowing whirlwind or claws and teeth the instant he made contact with the fox. Starclan save anyone that got too close right now.

Falconpaw froze at the sight and sound of foxes and cats wailing. His first instinct was to get into the trees... but he couldn't do that either. He shook his head to clear away his panic so that he could focus. He watched as his mom went to attack one of the foxes and his siblings attacked the others. With only an apprentice to assist his mother against a fox, Falconpaw made his decision. His eyes narrowed and his breathing became more steady once his decision had been made.
He wasn't going to die... none of his clanmates would. He charged the fox and made contact, biting as deep as possibly could into it's russet fur.
Falconpaw used Snap on Fox #4, dealing 6 damage and -7SP
They had just recently gotten back into their camp, and Beetlestrike, still unused to the warrior's den, felt his pelt stand on end as he heard the cries alerting the camp to the foxes' arrival. He immediately ran out, joining the other SkyClan cats that were keeping the foxes at the entrance.
Four foxes? Beetlestrike had never seen so many at one time before. In fact, before that moment, he'd not seen four foxes total in his life. He unsheathed his claws, glancing between each fox to see which fight could use his strength. A moment later, he had taken up position beside Creamsky and Lightningpaw, his claws lashing out at the fox's other side. It wouldn't know which way to look, let alone attack.

Does it almost feel like nothing's changed at all?
Emberpaw's heart pounded at the sound of Marigoldmask's cry to action, and the screams and yips that shortly followed.Foxes!! she thought in horror. Emberpaw had never even seen a fox, let alone fight one. But she couldn't leave her clanmates to deal with it alone.
Emberpaw flew out of the apprentice's den, not bothering to shake the moss from her pelt before throwing herself into the battle. She immediately spotted Wolfblossom and a handful of apprentices facing down a fox together. Before the fox saw her, Emberpaw flashed a paw forward, raking her claws down the foxes side.

The arrival of twolegs and their beasts at Fourtrees had cut off Silverwing's path back to the barn. She could have found her way around the twoleg gathering, if not for the dog that had began chasing her as soon as it had seen her. It never would have been able to keep up with her, but it had thrown her off course, and now she was stuck in a maze of trees. How does Thunderclan live like this? It was so hard to see anything around these trees, and she couldn't run at full speed with how many were sprouting out of nowhere. Truly, she felt sorry for Blazefang.
Thunderclan land gave way to a more rocky yet familiar territory. Finally, she could find her way out of here and back to the barn. As Silverwing continued to walk however, the sounds of battle reached her ears, and the molly broke into a sprint. The sounds got louder and louder until a camp engulfed in battle revealed itself to her, and without much thought Silverwing joined the battle. They couldn't be mad at her for helping, right? Claws unsheathed, the spotted she-cat swiped at the nearest fox taking care not to catch any of the Skyclanners in her attack.
Silverwing used Front Paw Strike on Fox #2, dealing 10 HP and costing 7 SP
Ravenclaw didn't sleep much these days. It felt like SkyClan was passing her by. More kits were born, turned into apprentices, and then into warriors. Her siblings were almost all gone, same with the warriors she had trained and fought with. It made her feel more like a relic than a warrior, but if they thought they could put her in the elder's den, they were dead wrong. Then again, what was she supposed to fight now? As it turned out, that answer was foxes.
Foxes, four of them, streamed into camp. This wasn't a usual occurrence: predators didn't dare venture this close to their camp lest they want a drubbing. Looked like that was what they wanted, though. Her claws were out in an instant, and she ran towards a fox that was already being fought by her clanmates. She snapped at its side, hissing angrily.
Ravenclaw used Snap on Fox #1, dealing 10 damage and costing 7 stamina.
Mere moments after the foxes emerged into the clearing they found themselves being attacked from every direction by furious, sharp-clawed felines. Their previous panic and fear began to dissipate as they were surrounded by enemies, rage taking it's place. They weren't about to give up without a fight. The first fox stumbled back as claws tore through it's flesh, then lunged forward to clamp it's jaws around the attacker, clenching as hard as it could.

--------------------------- The second fox whirled to and fro, growling in frustration as it failed to evade attacks from each side. It seemed like the assailants were multiplying by the minute, the russet-furred creature barely had time to register one blow before another was being thrown in quick succession. Letting out an enraged snarl, it darted forward, catching one of the cats by the scruff and giving it a vigorous shake.

Just as it managed to tear it's leg free, heavy paws came down on it's head, the force of the impact causing temporary disorientation. Shaking it's head as if to refocus, it locked eyes with one of the attackers, showing it's teeth in an ugly grimace before darting forward and locking the sharp canines around the closest appendage it could reach. Beady black eyes gleamed with the heat of battle, though deep down the fox knew it would not be able to fight much longer.
