Creamsky glanced over as Lightningpaw joined into the fray, giving her a smirk and a nod before he turned his attention back onto the fox as even more of his Clanmates rushed to both his aid and to take on the other foxes. The fox was off balance which was good, before his eyes widen as he saw it making a movement to strike out. He darted to the side - realizing a tad too late that he hadn't been the fox's target as he turned to see it sinking its teeth into Beetleshade. With a yowl, he spun and threw himself at the fox's head - ranking his claws down its face in an effort to pull its attention away from the injured tom.
Creamsky used Front Paw Strike on Fox #2, dealing 7 damage and costing 7 stamina.
Creamsky: 30/30 HP 66/80 SP (-7)
Fox #2: 20/60 HP (-7) 165/180 SP
Lightningpaw: 20/20 HP 53/60 SP
Beetlestrike: 20/30 HP 73/80 SP Silverwing: 60/60 HP 133/140 SP
Wolfblossom didn't want any of the apprentices participating in this, especially not the ones she was so close to, or her own son. But they were going to be Skyclan warriors, and that thought was irrational. They would have faced danger sooner rather than later, she just wished it wasn't like this.
As the largest cat facing the red-furred beast, Wolfblossom should have been an obvious target. The fox didn't go for her, however. It went for Emberpaw instead, and rage burned beneath Wolfblossom's pelt. The deputy snarled, rearing back and slamming her paws into the fox's head with all of her strength she could muster to put behind the blow. "Pick on somebody your own size, mangepelt!"
Wolfblossom used Upright Lock on Fox #4 for -10 sp, dealing -12 damage.
Moonlily let out a seething hiss as the jaws of the fox clenched around her rear leg. Instinctively, her body twisted around, working to strike at the creature that had oh-so-unhelpfully decided it would make her its target. Hopefully, she'd be able to heal outside of camp, as the first thing that reached her mind was the idea of having to go to the medicine den. Starclan help me, I refuse! With it going for her hind leg, it allowed the large molly to rear up, and slam her paws directly on top of the fox's head. Ungraceful as it was, it was all instinct at this point.
Moonlily used Upright Lock! She dealt 12 damage to Fox #1 and used 10 stamina. Marigoldmask was less than enthused about how the fox had gone after her clanmate, but it was a relief to see the others around her. "We've almost got it, guys! Emberpaw, good job!" The warrior called out, her claws taking no chances in letting her opponent even get a moment of respite.
Marigoldmask used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 damage and using 7 stamina. Fox #1 6/60 HP [-20] 150/180 SP
Camp exploded in a flurry of sound and movement. Burningpaw shot to her paws at the yowl, "Foxes!" and sprinted out of the apprentices' den, looking for an opening to join the fray. Heart thundering in her chest, she was much too eager to prove herself. Wolfblossom was still in camp, and Burningpaw was going to show her what a great warrior Trufflesnap was training her to be.
With a screech of anger, she launched herself at the nearest fox, joining Creamsky, Lightningpaw, and a couple other Clanmates in fighting the beast. Latching onto the creature's back, she dug her claws in deep, hissing and spitting.
Burningpaw used Jumping Strike on Fox #2, dealing 6 damage and costing 7 stamina.
Firepaw had been resting in the sun, just trying to think. Mostly about his future, as he tended to. He just wanted to be good at something, he wanted to be the best. It was just hard to be the best when you still had no idea what you wanted to do. He would do everything as a warrior, but he just felt he had to be the best warrior at everything. It was hard.
Then the foxes came tumbling in, four of them, russet and baring fangs. They were ready to kill. Was he? Firepaw had never been in a real battle, only spars with Moonlily, and on occasion another apprentice. It caused him to falter, which he cursed under his breath, because his mentor was bitten just as he began to finally run towards the fox which held her. "Let her go!" He growled, slamming into the fox's side with all of his strength. The tom, despite his training, was all offense. He could defend, but he wouldn't, not when he could kill this thing and keep others safe. Unsheathed claws ripped into what he hit, tearing fur and flesh on the side of the fox. Before long he retreated back, so the fox couldn't immediately retaliate.
Firepaw used Jumping Strike, dealing 6 damage, and using 7 stamina!
Stormwatcher glanced over to Blood as he joined the fight as well as another couple apprentices he hadnt met yet.
Stormwatcher didnt exactly trust Blood that much. He still thought blood was after more than just wanting to be back to the clan. Stormwatcher thought there was a chance that Blood might also be trying to take back the leadership of this whole thing.
He personally didnt care but he did care about clan stability, there wasnt any winning for him with the higher ups fighting and starting some dumb civil war... civil war wasnt good for long term life goals he had which mainly included doing as little as possible.
But for right now, Blood was on his side. That was nice cause blood was a beast and a half even though he was super old... when storm got that old he planned to be in the nice cushy elder den. Being around this long as a warrior was way overrated. Elders had the best life ever, didnt have to go on long patrols, hunts... ick
Blood took a hit from the fox but it looked like he could take them all day...
Well of all the cats the fox could have attacked storm was most okay with blood taking the hits. He wouldnt shed to many tears if the old tom tragically passed in this fight, it would lead to less possibilities for the old leader to try anything against birdstar... Nothing personal against blood, storm just only looked out for himself and having one leader in the clan was how he currently viewed it to be his best move to securing a stable environment in which he could retire and do as little as possible to get by.
If there had been fewer cats around maybe he could have done something a little... interesting... it wouldn't be unbelievable that blood in his old age would fall to a fox... tragic really. If storm had to be the one who actually put the knife in the ex leaders back that was just what it would have to be... if only there were fewer witnesses around he could help this little foxy out a little and finish any potential threats to his lifestyle and threats of civil war that blood came with. However, with so many around and with so many other enemy foxes as well it was for now to his benefit that blood was still alive. So for now the fox would remain the target and would for this entire fight. Perhaps another opportunity would arise. However... if this fox wanted to hurry it up and finish the old leader... well that would just be a tragic tragic event one in which he would not stand in the way of at all
He slashed at the fox dragging his claws across its pelt with a hiss
Stormwatcher uses front paw strike for 7 sp and 8 dmg

“Excellent speed, Graypaw!” Yewfrost’s voice cut through the din as he weaved through the camp-turned-battlefield. The young cat had been quicker on the draw than he as the camp had exploded into yowls and blood splatter. He held his black tail against his side, mindful of how easy it would be for one of the intruders to nab it, it nigh invisible against the black field of fur on his flanks. While it would’ve been good to give his apprentice direct training in this trial-by-fire situation - and would’ve eased his heart to fight by Moonlily’s side - the tuxedo’s chartreuse gaze found the deputy and a veritable gaggle of apprentices fighting another fox. And of course, the cowardly creature had attacked Emberpaw instead of the larger target in Wolfblossom. Sharp teeth met the sour pelt of the animal’s lower spine as the warrior threw himself into the fray, baiting it to whip around and attack him instead. He prayed that the pained, familiar hiss he heard somewhere else wasn’t from who he thought it was.
Yewfrost used Snap on Fox #4, dealing 8 damage and using 7 stamina.
Beetlestrike let out a most undignified yelp as the fox snatched him by the scruff and shook him. Being as large of a tom as he was, he hadn't been picked up in such a way since he was a kit. The ease with which the predator whipped him through the air was enough to make him dizzy. He flailed his paws, trying desperately to connect with some part of his attacker, but falling far short.
"Fox dung!" He spat, not realizing the irony of his words, just needing to vent his anger and pain in something less embarrassing than his previous yelp.
Beetlestrike is stunned for 1 turn.
Beetlestrike 20/30 HP 73/80 SP
Fox #2 14/60 HP 165/180 SP
"speech."
Does it almost feel like nothing's changed at all?
Bloodstrike had been fighting foxes for so long he knew their movements probably before even they did. The jaws came his way and he easily evaded. His claws sought the face of hisattacker, but they sailed disappointingly through empty air.
Bloodstrike used Dodge and Fight, dealing no damage to Fox 3 and -7SP
Bloodstrike 70HP / 143SP (-7SP) (+17HP from dodge)

Falconpaw 15HP / 28SP (-25SP) (-5HP for failed Belly Rake)
Lightningpaw kept on fighting, even as a cat she didn't immediately recognize joined the fight alongside her. One strike after another landed easily.
Lightningpaw used Snap, dealing 6 damage and costing 7 SP!
Fox #2 8/60 HP (-6) 165/180 SP
Lightningpaw 20/20 HP 46/60 SP (-7)

Silverwing 60/60 HP 133/140 SPMistpaw felt a surge of confidence as her clanmates fought alongside her, the unfamiliar adrenaline rush leading her to try a risky strategy. She attempted to launch herself underneath the fox they were fighting, to attack from below. Instead she opened herself up to an easy blow, letting out a sound of frustrated anger as she retreated.
Mistpaw used Belly Rake! It failed, dealing 5 damage to herself and costing 25 SP!
Emberpaw's back leg was on fire with pain. The trees turned into a blur around her as the fox gripped her leg, shaking her wildly back and forth like she was nothing more than a chew toy. She was vaguely aware of her clanmates rushing to meet the fox, and felt its jaws loosen as it spit her out into the dust.
Emberpaw spared a glance down at her back leg as she limped away from the fight. Deep bite marks scoured her leg, and chunks of fur were missing from where the fox had torn them away. Emberpaw's head was pounding from the shake she'd received, and she was certain that it hadn't helped her leg. If anything, it had probably made the injury worse. I need a second, she thought vaguely, flopping down into the dust. I can't put any weight on it. How can I fight?

Silverwing dipped closer to the fox's maw, biting just beneath its head and sinking her teeth into the beast's neck. She could feel the blood filling her mouth, a rancid taste that made her want to gag.
Silverwing used Snap, Dealing 10 HP and Costing 7 SP
Rainpaw hissed in anger as the fox attacked one of his fellow apprentices, Emberpaw. As soon as there was an opening, Rainpaw darted in to bite down as hard as he could on one of the fox’s legs, growling as blood filled his mouth.
Rainpaw used Snap on Fox #4, dealing -6 damage and costing -7 SP.
