Intruder Alert [Shadowclan Sitewide Finale]

Though the day had progressed without incident, Leopardsun couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. It was hard not to worry, with her son on the patrol sent to investigate Fourtrees.

As such, the deputy had spent much of the day searching for things in the camp that needed reinforcement; but she couldn't have prepared for or prevented what happened next. The sound of unfamiliar, heavy pawsteps; followed by the distant sound of-

Howls.

Immediately she yowled a warning to her Clanmates; hoping that those gone to Fourtrees were safe. "ShadowClan! Dogs are approaching the camp-!"

As if summoned by the sound of her voice, the threats made themselves known a short time later; tearing through the entrance of the cats' well-hidden home.

"Everyone, either guard the nursery and the elders' den or join me in defending our home!"

Leopardsun used Jumping Strike on Dog #1, dealing 13 damage and costing 7 SP!

Thalia startled at the sudden warning, but scrambled to put herself to use; settling near the elders' den.
Thalia is defending the elders!

Badgerpaw was sat curled outside of the apprentice's den, gently tucked in a corner. Her head was rested on her paws, worry fluttering in her chest over her sister. She was already a warrior and going on such important missions...It was hard to compare herself to her, a heavy sigh escaping her. She was ready to stew much longer in her doubts when her mother's voice rang across the camp. Dogs?!? Her head shot up, mouth opening in surprise to say something but the words didn't find their place before the three shapes charged their way through the camp entrance.

She curled tightly on herself, eyes widening in fear and horror as Leopardsun called out for the Clan to either fight or defend. She... Her heart was hammering in her chest as every fur on her body was telling her to stay where she was - stay hidden. She would just get underfoot or hurt or... But her eyes were locked on her mom who threw herself at one of the dogs and slowly, she was pushing herself to paws. She... She couldn't fight - but she... She darted forward, quickly weaving her way towards the nursery before she stopped to stare at the dogs.

Her lips curled in a snarl as she arched her back - a half-hearted dare for them to approach while she panicky begged in her head for her Clanmates to distract the dogs before any of them dared to turn their attention onto her.

Badgerpaw is currently defending the nursery.

Applepaw had been sulking in the apprentice den, annoyed at not being chosen for the super-cool mission to Fourtrees. It would've been the perfect chance to showcase his awesome warrior skills, but nooo, he had to be stuck in camp like some sort of helpless kit. He barely noticed the dog scent before Leopardsun's call to action had him leaping to his paws, racing out of the den to find the three snarling, slobbering beasts bursting into Shadowclan's camp. He wasted no time in throwing himself at the closest one (dog #2), slashing furiously with unsheathed claws.

Tawnypaw jumped to her paws at the sound of Leopardsun's call. Dogs? Crashing out of the apprentice's den, she quickly checked that the nursery and elder's den had some form of backup. An apprentice wasn't going to do much to protect the nursery, but for now the real threat was the three dogs. Yellow eyes narrowed with rage, the tortoiseshell flung herself beside Applepaw, her claws tearing through the thick fur of the beast.

Nightstar was recovering in his den when he heard the howling and yowling, the sounds of a battle breaking the peaceful air in mere moments. Nightstar was on his paws as soon as he could, but his hip still hurt horribly, and it was hard to breathe, but his clan needed him right now. Kits, elders, queens, and other vulnerable lay within their camp, and five valuable warriors were off at fourtrees inspecting Burdockroot's vision. Nightstar was injured sure, but he would lay down his life for his clan no matter the state of him.

Nightstar's eyes rested on a dog that was not being attacked by his clan, its eyes searching hungrily for its next victim. The black tom surged forwards, with maybe not as much power as he'd typically pack, but with the canids eyes on some cat else, he was able to slip underneath it and rake his claws fiercely against it's underbelly. Nightstar didn't push his luck and rolled from underneath it, limping heavily around it as he drew its gaze away from his clanmates.

Nightstar used Belly Rake on Dog 3! Dealing 22 (20+2) Damage and Costing 25 Stamina!

Sagepaw followed Tawnypaw out of the apprentice's den, his grey fur spiked up and his tail lashing with apprehension. What were dogs doing so far into Shadowclan territory? With a growl, he followed Tawnypaw and sank his teeth into the dog's leg.

Redice cackled at the scent of blood... and almost couldn't catch his breath from the scent of fear in the air. He charged forward, his shoulders bouncing and his ribcage heaving with laughter at the chaos around him. So a few dogs had entered the camp... big deal. What was hilarious was everyone's panicked reactions. Even the dogs! Redice managed to get himself together just enough to launch an attack at the nearest dog, laughing the entire time until he had tears in his eyes.

Swiftheart's ears perked up at the distant barking her fur raising out of fear as they sounded closer and closer.

Leopards call to battle sounded and she was on her paws in no time.  Running out of the den she looked to see the dogs all attacking and fighting against her clanmates!

She scanned quickly and saw her brothers dark pelt fighting against a dog all by himself.  She felt so much fear for him in her tummy as she rushed to help him.  She had already seen him die once before right before her eyes and was not going to let that happen again.

Besides, if she and him could work together and finish this one off quickly the other two dogs would be all the more outnumbered.

Her brother had gone for a risky play of a belly rake and after a little hesitation she found herself wanting to do the same... if she could just pull this off they could send this one outta here as soon as possible.

please stars please she prayed hoping so much that maybe her family was watching and they would give her and shadowclan the strength to get through this.

"Night! I'm here!" she called for him focusing on trying to do as much damage to this mutt as possible to protect her clan and family.




Swiftheart attempts a belly rake targeting Dog3

It failed miserably and she was trapped soon after under the dogs paws a terrible place to be.  She panicked and took a bit of a hit in a counter attack before rolling away narrowly avoiding a fatal blow that would have landed on her throat if she hadnt moved seconds prior.

Burdockroot emerged from her den at the sound of barking and the smell of blood- not even her badger pelt on. Her eyes scanned the crowd. Her first battle as a medicine cat and - she glanced back to her den - supplies were so very low. Nightstar was just hit by a monster, and now this? There was no rest for Burdockroot. She was hungry. What was she even supposed to do as a medicine cat in a fight? Her warrior instincts wanted to charge in, but her new position kept her rooted in place. She must protect the den.

Burdockroot cannot attack. However, the Attacking and Defending Buff are now active. All ShadowClan cats gain +3 to max HP and -1 SP to all moves.

Singedfox immediately was up and ready at the sound of the cries. His eyes scanned the clearing and landed on his former mentor, Nightstar. It was time to make an impression on the leader. Show him he could be trusted, brought in to the inner circle. Sprinting across camp, the warrior launched himself at the Dog (#2) and joined in the leader for the fight. He leapt onto the back of the dog, claws outstretched and latched on to his fur with his jaws.
