A warm breeze swept Windclan territory, carrying with it an air of uncertainty; the wind smelled of danger. It came from Fourtrees. A group of cats had already been sent there, the leader accompanying them, leaving the rest of Windclan to fend for themselves against rapidly approaching predators. In a flurry of movement, two dogs come crashing into Windclan camp…
Two dogs have stumbled into Windclan camp, having escaped from the adoption event at fourtrees! You must defend your clanmates! Enemies are not able to be stunned or pinned!

Batsong heard it before anything else. The barking getting closer and closer to herself as the thunder of paws came for them all.
She nudged whatever kits she could find into the nursery and stood in the center of camp her fur all puffed out her heart racing.
Moments passed by like hours and then, two great beasts appeared. Charging into camp they looked around. She stood frozen still... she hadnt thought that they would actually find them here but here they were their teeth glistening in the light.
And at the worse time too, a group had been sent out to try and rescue the trapped and now the camp was void of alot of helpful warriors.
She fought back waves of panic as she stood her ground unwavering as she stared them both down.
"W-w.w..w her tongue caught up all over as she tried to scream a warning but no good that would do for now.
It was her job to defend her clanmates.. she just never thought it would end quite like this.
With smallbean captured and shrike gone on the patrol she felt so alone in this. She never wanted to be in this position of having to try and lead her clan out of something like this. But here she was staring down two dogs as they barged into camp.
She thought back to what Shrikestar had toaught her so long ago in their practice spars back when she trained to be a warrior, thought back to how silverwing had helped her brush up on these skills.
Well right now she would need all of that and it still probably wouldnt be enough.
Nevertheless she let out a loud hiss before running right at the first dog, if nothing else maybe she could throw them off a bit with an early attack. After all they wouldnt suspect someone to do that when they were so clearly outmatched.
She leaped at Dog1 and raked her claws into its shoulder tugging as she did so. She just wanted to buy time right now and held on for dear life tucking in below its line of attack best she could

Eaglepaw's head picked up as a crashing sound came from outside the appretnice den. He frowned a bit and raised an eyebrow...
"Jaypaw! not funny, stop trying to scare us" he complained a bit. He peaked his head out and froze as he saw two of the biggest dogs ever.
He had heard stories about them from the elders but never seen one actually.
His fur went all puffy out of instinct and he shivered as he saw batsong charging right at them...
He was so terrified. Where was his mentor? Where was dad? He didn't know what to do. He didnt even know how to fight, he hadnt gotten there in his training yet. But the clan was in imminent danger.
He looked around desperatly for Kestrelpaw. Kestrelpawwas who he always turned to when he was not sure what to do. But he didnt see his brother anywhere for now.
The dogs barked and it sent chills down his spine. He took a deep breath and decided it was his duty to defend the clan... He fought back tears as he shakily ran at the dogs. They looked even bigger closer and he felt like this was a lost cause already what was he supposed to do even?
He ran at the other dog (dog2) and clawed at its leg because that was the only spot he could reach really. He felt like any moment sharp fangs would dig into his neck and everything would go black. He ducked and rolled away as fast as he could after he had landed his best attempt at an attack maybe it would allow for time for a better defense to be set but everything felt so hopeless right now.

Mudshriek had been pacing the clearing, anxiously awaiting the return of the group that had been sent to fourtrees. He would have joined them, but if he left there would have been no one competent enough to guard the camp. And as the wind brought the stench of dogs, he was thankful for his excellent foresight. The warrior's blue eyes widened in panic, but before he could shout a warning to the clan, a blur of dark fur shot past him straight at the dogs. He'd never expected to see the timid, gentle medicine cat attacking a predator with such vigor, but he didn't dare dwell on his surprise, instead leaping into battle beside her, slashing his claws down the creature's ugly muzzle.
Mudshriek used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 damage and -7 stamina 43/43 HP [+3] 93/100 SP [-7]
The sight of dogs in the camp sent tingles down Whisperear’s spine. They spent a lot of time in the elder’s den with Brackenwing since she had been named an elder. That’s where they were now when they smelled the dogs’ awful stench followed by the yowling of fighting cats. They hurried to rise and then looked to Brackenwing. “I know you’ll hate to hear it, but don’t think about getting involved. You’re still recovering…I’ll be back.”
They hurried out of the den and their eyes landed on Eaglepaw fighting a dog all on his own. Their heart squeezed and they quickly rushed forward to their adopted brother's side. "Eaglepaw!" they called out as best they could with their strained voice. They wanted their brother to know that they were not alone in this fight, even if it would have been obvious once Whisperear's claws met the dog's hide.
Whisperear looked to the vicious predator and felt another tingle down their spine. They felt exhausted just from rushing out here, but they were in the fray now and they could not afford to hold back. Their claws unsheathed and they lunged forward to rake their claws down the side of the dog's face. Now that they flanked the creature, it would struggle to determine who to target. Whisperear only hoped that they would target the them over the younger apprentice.
Whisperear used Front Paw Strike, dealing 10 damage and costing 7 SP.
The sight of the patrol leaving on Shrikestar's heels struck a chord of unease into Adderdawn. He wasn't sure what, but... it made him uncomfortable. There was something on the air, something that made his pelt ruffle. He didn't have to wait long to figure it out, though: distant barking cracked through the air, far enough that Adderdawn could almost convince himself he hadn't heard it... until a pair of dogs came crashing haplessly into camp. It was hard to tell whether they were just lost or had come hunting out of malice. Adderdawn wasn't sure he cared to wait long enough to find out the answer.
Only distantly aware of the sight of Whisperear jumping into battle, Adderdawn gathered his paws and jumped in to fight against the dog nearest to him– the one currently occupied by Batsong and Mudshriek. He said nothing as he threw himself forward, just raked his claws through whatever fur and flesh he could reach without harming his Clanmates.
Adderdawn used Swift Strike + Front Paw Strike on Dog #1, dealing 15 (7+8) damage and costing 17 (10+7) SP.
As WindClan's camp exploded with the frenzied barking of dogs, Owlshade was awake. Night patrol had kept him sleeping until now, but the moment he heard the first shriek of the camp guards he was on his paws and dashing outside to meet the challenge. He spotted two different dogs, and charged the one closer to the elders' den. It was distracted by the other cats it was battling, so he took advantage and slid beneath it, claws lashing out wildly at its vulnerable belly, but at the last moment the dog stepped backwards, directly on top of Owlshade. He snarled and writhed beneath the paw, eventually managing to squeeze from beneath it and circle back around to have a go at the dog's rear.
Owlshade used Belly Rake on Dog#2 - it fails, costing 25 SP and taking 5 damage.
"And then Nightstar kicked him across Fourtrees!" she meowed to Kestrelpaw, as she finished her tale of when Fuzzface met the Shadowclan leader. Her jaw dropped as she scented the air, the distant barking got closer and the warrior scrambled to her paws, immediately looking to her brother, "Alright, stay on your toes. If you get hurt, don't feel embarrassed if you need to fall back. Birchpaw or Batsong will heal you." she meowed glancing to where the kits and queens were bunkering down. She touched her nose briefly to her brother's head before rushing into battle, she was nearest to Whisperear and didn't hesitate to join them in clawing at the dog. She kept her tail close as to not be easy to grab. The large calico hissed as she felt her claws sink in deep to the muscular flesh of the dog. Blood ran red and hot on her claws as she jumped back, dodging its teeth. Sleepy huffed, "If we were to run.. do you think we could draw it away from camp?" she asked her older sibling. Using their speed to their advantage they could outrun it long enough to get the fight to the moors. Then the queens would be safer and they would have more room to fight.
Sleepyhollow used Desperate Blows and Front Paw Strike on Dog #2 dealing 13 (5+8)DMG and costing 14 (7+7) SP.
Kestrelpaw had hardly finished his laugh before it choke in his throat. Eyes wide, he touched noses with his sister and mentor, temporarily frozen in fear as Sleepyhollow launched herself into the fray. Eaglepaw was fighting there too, with Whisperear. A family battle. His paws stepped forward, ready to join in but he stopped. Vulturepaw. Just as much of a brother as any cat in his family, he was so weak he couldn't even run. He knew, in this moment, what to do. It wasn't the brazen glory of jumping into battle like his brother. Eaglepaw, so very brave and Kestrelpaw loved him for it. Eyes darting, he would have to pass his siblings to get to Vulturepaw.
Launching himself forward, he bounded to the fighting siblings. "I'm going to protect Vulturepaw! He can't fight! I'm so proud of you, Eaglepaw!" Charging forward he glanced around for Jaypaw and Sparrowpaw. "Jaypaw, Sparrowpaw!" He shrieked over the fray. He had to keep sight on them. Mother and Father were gone, and though Whisperear and Sleepyhollow were here, Kestrelpaw felt the weight of keeping track on his littermates.
Skidding to a hault in front of the medicine den, unguarded. Sticking his head in, he wanted to let Vulturepaw know what was going on. "Vulturepaw, there's dogs in the camp. Stay in here, I won't let anything hurt you." His breath was quick and hard, but he pulled back out, constantly scanning the camp and took on a defensive stance. He would die protecting any of his siblings, but Vulurepaw couldn't even fight back. So he would fight with the strength for both of them.
What had started pleasantly - stretched out and enjoying the warmth of the sun on her fur and enjoying Whisperear's company - was interrupted. Because of course it was. The sounds of barking dogs made Brackenwing's fur bristle, and Whisperear had noticed them just as quickly. Retired and tired, but their senses had always been sharp. Whisperear ordered her to stay back, and Brackenwing's ear twitched. "Not happening." Surely they did not think she would follow that instruction if they were going to be fighting and the camp was in danger? Oh, she'd be yelled at later, of that Brackenwing had no doubt. Right now though, there were dogs that did not belong in Windclan's camp. "I can still use my claws to do some good." And with that she followed the pale warrior out into camp, silently thanking Starclan that her leg held as she moved. For the moment. Whisperear had thrown themself at one of the dogs, with Owlshade and another clanmate right behind. Brackenwing forced herself forward, snapping at the dog with a low growl. She refused to sit idly by while her clanmates defended the camp.
Brackenwing used Snap on Dog #1 for -7 sp, dealing -6 damage.
It didn't take long at all for Tigerpaw to notice what was occurring in the camp, the nap he was taking long forgotten as he was quick to jump into the fray that was happening in the middle of camp. The lanky apprentice moved swiftly to the closet dog before sinking his teeth into it's skin.
Tigerpaw used snap and swift strike on Dog1 dealing 6 + 5 damage, -7 SP
The day was warm. It was nice, even the few shaded areas of camp were comfortable. Jaypaw laid in his nest, done with his morning duties and already exhausted. He figured he had time to rest, so he sat quietly, trying to not drift off to sleep. Although his eyes stayed closed, he raised his ears when he heard loud voices and commotion. He'd thought nothing of it at first.
Eaglepaw's comment make him curiously open one eye. "It's not me, mouse-brain." He responded to his brother, albeit lighthearted. "I'm in here with you." Perhaps he hadn't noticed he was there. When the scuffle escalated and he heard snarls from within camp, though, he jolted upwards and dashed from his nest, finding the camp in disarray as two dogs tore through it.
Kestrelpaw's call broke the air and Jaypaw was drawn to it, meeting his brother at the medicine den. They didn't need to say anything, Jaypaw knew he was protecting the medicine den. He would help.
Jaypaw had kept his distance from the fray, he hadn't even been wounded yet, but his limbs somehow stung (aside from his front leg, of course) With every step eh had to fight a wince. For a brief moment, he panicked, wondering what he would do. There was imminent danger and he couldn't really fight with one of his paws. He'd just have to make do with the one he could use. Nodding to Kestrelpaw, he dashed forward a bit, acting as a first line of defense. For the first time in his life he'd been faced with a threat that he couldn't take care of himself. All it took to calm his nerves was a brief glance around him. Kestrelpaw had his back, Sleepyhollow and Eaglepaw in his line of sight.
He wasn't alone, he could do this.
The moment a dog strayed too close to the medicine den, Jaypaw lashed out, dragging his claws along his flank.
Jaypaw has used Front Paw Strike on dog1, dealing 6 HP and costing 7 SP
Jaypaw: 20/20 HP 53/60 SP [-07]
Dog 1 47/100 HP [-06] 200/200 SP
Freedom at their very paws, the dogs had escaped from Fourtrees in a flurry of excitement only to find themselves in deep trouble. The dogs let out a series of yelps as they were being struck at from every angle, baring their fangs at the surrounding cats in an attempt to intimidate.
One Dog lunged forward and closed its jaws around the leg of a nearby cat, while the other brought its heavy paw down on a different cat.
Dog1 used Heavy Blow on Mudshriek, dealing 17 HP and costing 22 SP. Dog 2 has used Iron Bite on Whisperear, dealing 22 HP and costing 30 SP.
Dog1: 47/100 HP 178/200 SP [-22]
Mudshriek: 26/43 HP [-17] 93/100 SP
Dog2: 65/100 HP 170/200 SP
Whisperear: 46/68 HP [-22] 123/130 SP

Sparrowpaw was pacing quietly around her nest. It was nice, her brothers were asleep. It gave her time to think... she didn't have much to think about, but it was nice to have time to. She hardly noticed when the commotion started, figuring it was an argument. Arguments bored her, they just shouted words at each other but neither ever listened. Then Eaglepaw made a comment... something about Jaypaw being loud, which it couldn't be him, he was just laying there. Eaglepaw dashed out though, then Jaypaw... she had heard the snarls as well, and was hot on her brothers' heels. She wouldn't let them go on their own, and she had to find Kestrelpaw.
They stuck together for a time, until Eaglepaw broke off to go fight. Before she could follow, Kestrelpaw's call broke through the yowling, and Sparrowpaw followed Jaypaw. He was protecting the Medicine Den. She understood what he was doing... why he was doing it. Jaypaw ran first though, to defend. Sparrowpaw's brows furrowed for a moment, before deciding to go after him, giving Kestrelpaw a quiet look before she went. Where her brothers went after one, she would go after the other. Eaglepaw was fighting this one, and the molly would give her support. With a hiss, her ears flattened as she began slowly circling, the dog wildly looking from one cat to the next. As soon as its gaze was elsewhere, she dashed forward, sinking fangs into its leg.
Before the dog could react, she had already retreated, crouched by Eaglepaw's side. She would keep one eye on her brothers, ready to pull them out. Kestrelpaw was their defacto leader... but Sparrowpaw would let nothing hurt them without a price.
Sparrowpaw used Snap, dealing 6 damage and using 7 stamina!
Whisperear’s fur bristled in the face of the deranged mutt. They saw a familiar pelt at their side joining in the fray and they hissed to Brackenwing, “I told you to stay in the den!” She had scarcely recovered enough to walk. If one of those dogs got their jaws around her—well, Whisperear was terrified to think of the consequences. Thankfully, that did not occur; unfortunately, Whisperear ended up being the one that looked like a chewtoy to the dog.
The dog’s powerful jaws bit down onto Whisperear’s leg and they yowled loud enough that their voice gaze out partway through. They saw white for a moment and blood rushed down their leg. Instinctively they clawed at the dogs face, just managing to force the mutt to release their leg. They landed back on the ground and their tail lashed. They panted painfully and their breath tasted like blood; no doubt from their raw throat. Adrenaline helped make the pain melt away, at least for the time being.
Whisperear used Front Paw Strike on Dog #2, dealing 10 damage and costing 7 SP.
