The moon had once again swelled to fullness, it's beauty looming over the ancient clearing and illuminating all in its path. It was time for another gathering, another age-old sharing of news and gossip between clans. Hopefully this new moon would bring peace.

Perchstar seriously considered finding an excuse to stay home from the Gathering this moon. It wouldn't have been difficult; a few quick words about the shakiness and exhaustion she had been feeling, and Poppyshine would insist that she remain at the medicine den without her Clan. She wouldn't have to deal with whatever new fish-brained ideas Nightstar and Shrikestar planned to use to disrupt the night's peace. But she couldn't abandon RiverClan like that. If she stayed home, she would be stressed the whole time about what could be happening. And then there was the irrational fear that breaking the Code again--even in as small a way as not going to the Gathering--would raise the ire of the stars at her and lead to even more problems. So, she did not claim sickness, despite the way that the edges of her vision began to fuzz the more she walked. Instead she led RiverClan into the clearing. They were the first ones to arrive, which meant she would have a moment of respite before dealing with WindClan and ShadowClan's nonsense. Perchstar nodded at her deputy before leaping gracefully upward to take her place on the Great Rock. Hopefully... hopefully, tonight would at least refrain from injuring several cats.
RiverClan may now enter the Gathering!
--
Dovepaw had debated whether or not he wanted to come to a Gathering again. After all, the last one had been disastrous. Lightning flashing, roaring thunder, crackling fire, the screams and yells deafening him as he tried to find a way out.... But he couldn't just stay home. Not if any of his siblings were coming. So the apprentice steeled his nerves and went with the rest of RiverClan to the Fourtrees clearing. The full moon gave just enough light to see by--enough light to notice that no other Clans were there yet. That was both relieving and worrying. Well, until anyone else arrived, he supposed that he could just try and keep track of all his siblings. Pale blue eyes scanned the group he'd traveled in, looking for any familiar pelts. Pigeonpaw, Swanpaw, Crowpaw, Ravenpaw. At least a couple of them came.
Dovepaw is looking for his siblings, but open to talk to!

Cinderpaw, RiverClan
Her first gathering. Cinderpaw didn't know what to make of it just yet, but she knew she was nervous. Her last days of kithood had been filled with whispers of the previous gathering, and she could still see the apprehension on some of her clanmates faces as they spilled into the clearing. She recognised a few faces-- Her mentor, Perchstar, who looked rather miserable this evening. Dovepaw, she remembered him from the apprentices den. Was Bubblepaw anywhere? Or Larkpaw? Bubblepaw could at least guide her through it all with her flamboyant self, and Larkpaw had that kind of scowl that would scare anyone away. Even herself. Maybe that wasn't the best idea. She could leave that for the backburner.
She made herself small, skirting along the outskirts of the RiverClan group with her eyes following Perchstar's movements for some sort of guidance. Where would she sit? Was she meant to? Was there a place she was meant to stand? Oohh, why did this have to be so hard!
Cinderpaw is looking very out of sorts! Easy to startle, and desperate for someone to latch onto and shadow.

All Hail RiverClan's Resident Pageant Queen
bubblepaw
Walk like a majestic lion, eyes glinting with so much desire.
Bubblepaw wasn't afraid to show fear. She considered it to be a natural emotion that everyone felt, but she didn't think that she'd ever feel it at a Gathering. For an event that advertised peace and goodwill, there certainly seemed to be some sense of anxiety amongst a few of the apprentices that had been at the last Gathering. For her to witness such an electrifying sight at her very first Gathering was certainly uncanny, but Bubblepaw had told herself that every Gathering wasn't going to be like that one. This was a new full moon and a new chance to make good first impressions with other cats.
She padded into Fourtrees as calmly as she could before noticing that RiverClan was indeed the first to arrive. That meant that she'd be able to get a nice spot to watch the other Clans arrive. She looked forward to ThunderClan and SkyClan's arrival, although she wasn't sure how friendly ShadowClan and WindClan could be. It was wrong of her to generalize, though. Surely not every cat in a Clan could be blamed for the actions of their leadership.
Bubblepaw gave the clearing a quick scan before noticing Cinderpaw on the edge of the crowd. Perhaps it would be better to help her get settled while Fourtrees was empty before the other four Clans arrived. "There's not much to be seen at the edge of the clearing, y'know." Bubblepaw began, her voice soft and inviting. "You look a little nervous. Is it the first Gathering nerves?"

Cinderpaw, RiverClan
Cinderpaw near leapt out of her skin when Bubblepaw addressed her. Despite knowing full well that Bubblepaw was there, and spotting her look in her direction, her voice piercing through that veil of innerness ripped her out like a thorn from a pad.
"Sorry, Bubblepaw," Cinderpaw smiled, that nervous shake to her tone unmistakeable. She looked out and around Fourtree's again before giving her an answer. It smelled so different to everywhere else, and although it was still dominated by RiverClan cats, the impending arrival of the other clans unnerved her.
"A little bit, I think," She meowed. "I know most apprentices have their mentors to guide them through this but... Perchstar has the important part so I can't follow her up. We didn't get to talk much about the Gathering before it happened, and my only memory of them is everyone coming back unhappy..."
She didn't feel so bad blabbering on to Bubblepaw. It felt more natural. She was so calm and inviting and she listened. It was nice. "What do you think will happen today..?"

Mottlestar, at the helm of Thunderclan, made her way into the clearing. There was no shortage of nerves within the tortoiseshell molly as she made her way. It seemed gatherings were rather the opposite of the peaceful communion they once were, as they were now nothing but a time of drama instead. Thankfully, it was Riverclan who found themselves in the clearing first. With a slightly renewed spirit at that sight, the tortoiseshell gave a nod to Acornstem before leaping atop the Great Rock. Her leg had finally healed to where it didn't hinder her in most activities, and it made hopping up there much less of an annoyance. That thought hardly stuck as she then gave a happy chirp to the silver and white molly, sitting right beside her. "Perchstar! How has the last moon been for you?"

Poppyshine
Poppyshine had been sick at the last Gathering and missed all of the…excitement that occurred. She was not exactly disappointed on that front. Now that she was healed, she was coming with her clan to the Gathering, but she could tell that Perchstar was on edge. She walked alongside her friend and brushed their pelts together in silent reassurance as they walked, before she parted ways when they arrived at Fourtrees. Poppyshine told her apprentices to be on their best behavior and keep safe. Finally, she headed to the spot beneath the Great Rock and kept an eye out for her fellow deputies. She would have to apologize for being absent last month, and say her hellos.
Larkpaw walked partway between Rookpaw and Rowansong. He had been trying his best to be a good apprentice for Rowansong after their spat a while back. It was…hard. He wasn’t sure how he would do things wrong. But at least for now, he’s resigned himself to sticking with Rowansong in general whenever they go out anywhere.
He paused at the edge of the clearing with Rowansong and looked up at him. He inched slightly towards Rookpaw, looking like he was itching to go down there and find a spot. He asked, “May I go?”
Larkpaw is trying to be on his best behavior with Rowansong and Rookpaw.
Willowpaw walked alongside her sister Wrenpaw as they headed to the Gathering. This would be her sister’s first Gathering with the other medicine cats. She knew that her sister would be fine, but Willowpaw was a bit nervous on her behalf. She had Sandyshell to look after her, but Sandyshell was one of the most anxiety-fraught cats in the forest, so Willowpaw did not have much confidence in her when it came to looking after her sister. When they reached the clearing, she looked to Wrenpaw and purred, “You will do great. Make friends with the other medicine cats and tell me what they are like.” Her tail tapped against Wrenpaw’s shoulder and then she left to try and find someone to talk with.
Willowpaw said goodbye to Wrenpaw and is now open for conversation with new cats.

Birdstar
Birdstar had almost been desperate for an excuse not to attend this Gathering– an excuse to keep all of SkyClan from attending this Gathering. A tremor of agitation shook her tail. At least she’d missed the last one, with the extended climax of WindClan and ShadowClan’s disputes. As grateful as she was to have missed the drama, guilt nagged at her for it, too. She should have been in Wolfblossom’s place, not languishing in camp; and she knew she could not redirect the lightning to spare their wounded apprentices, but she shouldered unwarranted blame regardless. So, in spite of her wants, she gathered the large party of Clanmates and set off for Fourtrees.
Neither of the offending Clans were there upon SkyClan’s arrival, thankfully. Birdstar brushed against Wolfblossom’s shoulder briefly before leading her Clan into the hollow. Pausing to offer Poppyshine a nod of greeting, Birdstar leaped onto the Great Rock and delivered similar acknowledgment to the leaders already waiting. “I apologize for missing the last moon’s Gathering. I heard it was… eventful. It’s good to see you both well.”
SkyClan may enter the Gathering!
Rowansong
Rowansong followed his Clanmates into the Gathering, RiverClan’s shadows on his heels and, when he looked, Egretswoop nearby as well. Things had gotten better as of late; easier. Every day was not such a suffering chore. He had found something close to an understanding with Larkpaw. It left a good feeling, warm in his chest, to consider these subtle but welcome feelings.
Pausing at the top of the ridge, Rowansong looked down to meet Larkpaw’s eyes. He tossed his head, humming feigned consideration before giving an amused snort. “You may. Make something entertaining of the evening.” Rowansong waved his tail to send Larkpaw off, and took a step away himself to descend into the hollow. “Find me should you like! Or should you need. I will be around.” With that and a quick smile, he padded away, weaving aimlessly through the crowd until he found himself nearing the Great Rock. Poppyshine was the only deputy who'd settled in its shadow so far. Blinking fondly in greeting, Rowansong decided to settle nearby, wrapping his tail around his paws as he sat.
Rowansong is hanging out near the deputies; he's open to talk for now!
Rookpaw
Rookpaw joined the Gathering at their brother’s side, as they always did. They were getting more accustomed to the clamor of these evenings, though their whiskers still twitched with irritation as they neared the hollow. Thankfully, they were the first Clan to join; ThunderClan and SkyClan weren’t far behind, but it was at least some grace. They paused when Larkpaw did, leaning lightly against him until Rowansong chirped his dismissal.
“You lead,” Rookpaw suggested as they padded down the slope at Larkpaw’s side. He often entertained their want to peer at cats from other Clan’s to find some value in the bustle of Gatherings, and so it seemed fair they would follow him tonight.
Rookpaw is with Larkpaw, but open to talk otherwise.
Pigeonpaw
Pigeonpaw was absolutely, completely, wholly overjoyed to be at the Gathering. Well, actually– okay, she was a little scared of the Gathering. She wasn’t until other Clans started to arrive, with their hordes of cats and the rapidly increasing volume of the crowd. She’d been expecting busy, but jeez! It was a lot. She hadn’t really comprehended the scope of it without being there for herself.
But it was the Gathering- her very first Gathering! She wasn’t going to let a little noise stand in the way of her good time. Drumming up the thrill that sent her shooting into the hollow when RiverClan arrived alone, Pigeonpaw sucked in a breath to puff out her chest and wandered through the crowd, skipping toward the new arrivals with wide eyes and a slight tremble through her body as she ducked under and around cats in search of someone interesting to talk to.
Pigeonpaw is hanging out around ThunderClan and SkyClan, looking for someone to talk to!

Bubblepaw's eyes were wide open, reflecting the light of the full moon as she followed the rest of SkyClan into the clearing. It was her first Gathering! Not only was Fourtrees so much bigger and grander than she had originally imagined, and the moon so big and enormous and bright that she could see everything, there were so many cats! And judging by the number of them on the big stone that must have been the Great Rock--two, now three with Greataunt Birdstar--there were even more coming. "Wowww," she gasped, jaw dropping at the beauty of it all. There were so many other cats to talk to! So much to see! How was she supposed to decide what to do?
She was so busy staring up at the velvet midnight sky, speckled with stars brighter than she'd ever seen them before now that there were fewer trees in the way, that she nearly tripped over her own paws as she continued to walk. In fact, she bumped right into another cat. "Oof! Oh, sorrysorry!" Bubblepaw backed up and shook her fur for a moment, trying to refocus herself. Then she looked at who she'd knocked into. A she-cat who looked about her age, with cream point fur. What Clan? ...Smelled like fish. RiverClan, then? A wide grin spread on Bubblepaw's face. "Hiya! Sorry 'bout that, I wasn't looking where I was going. It's just so pretty, y'know? Oh, oh, I'm Bubblepaw! SkyClan! Wolfblossom the deputy is my gramma and Birdstar's my greataunt and they're so cool! What's your name? You're a FishClan--no, I mean a RiverClan cat, right? Nice to meet you!" It was all she could do not to jump up and down for joy as she spoke. A new friend!
Bubblepaw is speaking with Pigeonpaw, but is open for any other conversations as well.

...On the way
echosong
Echosong held his head high as he entered the clearing, it was his first Gathering as a full medicine cat after all and he wanted to look as strong as he felt. The tom entered with Acornstem and Fawnshine, tail high in the air as they made their way to the base of the Great Rock.
Part of him prayed to the stars that it would be a regular Gathering - but part of him felt like he could take on the entire world. The tom hummed the same song he had hummed the past few moons, the notes filled the air around him and would reach the ears of anyone near him. The song had a lullaby-like quality and definitely made him feel at peace. He hoped it would soothe the nerves of anyone that harbored any trauma with entering the Gathering this moon.
The tom situated himself and wrapped his tail around his paws as he finished the lullaby and turned his eyes to the sky just as he heard Skyclanners start to enter the clearing.
Echosong is with Acornstem and Fawnshine but is open to conversation.
foxtrot
The journey to the Gathering felt shorter than normal, while he walked with his niece he filled her in on what exactly a Gathering was. "You know there's five clans. Wind, River, Shadow, Thunder and us. Well, every fullmoon we gather at the big Four Trees and have a meeting. Usually, the leaders just make announcements and the clans run around and talk with each otha. Ya feel me?" he asked as they walked, "So when we get there, it's gonna be tough. There's gonna be a lot a cats you don't know so take some time to make some friends - especially with Thundaclan and Riverclan, they're our allies." Sounds of thunderous paws and the mixing of clan scents was strong as they neared the great trees. "I'll be close by just in case you need me." he meowed giving her a nudge on the shoulder with his head before they reached the entrance to the clearing. From there he paused and stepped to the side allowing the rest of his clanmates that were behind them to enter. He never had a 'first Gathering'. At least, not a traditional one. On his first moon when Briarstar accepted him into the clan, the tom had almost immediately been hit with the Great Shake where all four clans Gathered at Fourtrees - kits, warriors, apprentices, elders - everyone was there. In comparison a Gathering was much less intimidating.
He found a nice place near the edge of the clearing and watched as Thymepaw left his side. He didn't curl his tail around his paws nor did he let himself get comfortable. With how these meetings were going recently he didn't want to get distracted in case something were to happen- he would be there in a second to pick Thymepaw up and get her back to camp. If it came to it, his niece was his number one priority.
Foxtrot is with Thymepaw but is open for conversation.
fawneye
It was all the warrior had in her not to run faster than her clan to get to the Gathering first. The ragdoll lovedddd Gatherings, drama and all! It was her apprentice's second Gathering and Ravenpaw's siblings were quite helpful so she felt no need to give any directions. The she-cat found a nice spot in the center of the clearing, the remnants of the lightning were long gone but she could feel her fur stand on end out of reflex as she looked at the spot where it had struck. Fawneye shook her pelt and with it shook any nerves she had as she settled in for this moons Gathering.

She did not want to go to this gathering. The pain in her side had decreased to the occasional twinge, her clanmates were healing... And Wolfblossom had no desire to lead them to another potential disaster of a gathering. Creamsky had stayed home, as had a few others, and Wolfblossom dearly wished that she could have stayed with them. It had taken some... convincing to pull the deputy away from camp, and every step was measured with reluctance. As they neared the clearing, the still-present ringing in her ears seemed to grow louder.
Or maybe that was the sound of the conversation that could be heard through the trees. Wolfblossom swallowed, fighting to keep her ears from laying flat against her skull.
The closer they got to fourtrees, the more the ringing in her ears increased. The straighter her posture became, shoulders squared, ears forward. Silently, Wolfblossom pressed against Birdstar, grateful for her sister's presence. Before she followed her sister into the clearing, the deputy turned, catching sight of her apprentice. "Go and socialize. We're friendly with Riverclan and Thunderclan, those are the two clans already here with us. I'll be at the base of the rock if you need me." She mewed quietly to Ploverpaw, before turning and following Birdstar into the clearing, projecting an air of confidence that she most definitely did not feel.
A familiar face was already at the base of the great rock, and Wolfblossom managed a smile. "It's good to see you, Poppyshine," She mewed, "You missed quite the gathering. I have to say, I'm almost jealous." The new scar on her side was a bit too large to be hidden by her plush fur, standing out starkly against the pale backdrop. The redness had began to fade, at least. Wolfblossom was convinced that staying home sick that moon must've been a blessing for those who did. "How are you?" The new Thunderclan deputy hadn't made her way to the great rock yet, but that would give her time to catch up with the Riverclanner.
---
Graywind padded into fourtrees after Wolfblossom, frowning slightly. Their leadership was good at hiding it, but she could still tell that they wanted to be here even less than she did. It seemed that Windclan and Shadowclan hadn't showed up yet... That was a good thing, in Graywind's book. For now she would sit among her clanmates, but she wasn't opposed to talking should the night call for it.
---
Swanpaw was hesitant after just how badly her first gathering had gone, but she was also determined not to let that stop her. The clans wouldn't be so dumb a second time, right? And the gathering meant there was a chance to get to know new faces. Not that any clan was as great as Riverclan, but she was still curious to learn about them and meet other cats.
Wolfblossom is talking with Poppyshine! Graywind is open to talk! Swanpaw is open to talk! Beechfang, Brackenwing, Stoneheart and Aurelia are not attending.

By nature, Firefly trailed behind mother as she led ThunderClan into the clearing. Though she stopped at Fourtrees edge. From her own experience - and the last gathering - StarClan did not discriminate when handing out punishments of fiery hot bolts of lightning. She would not be victim to this again. Her previous burn still keeping the nerves in her face hostage at times. Grub was here, though he understood he would not be welcome if he tried to make himself comfortable within the growing crowd. For now, he would slink around the shadows and observe.
Firefly is open to talk to. Grub is open to talk to.

Leopardsun hadn't yet made the trek to the Moonstone. It was getting difficult to justify the delay, but it was even harder to justify leaving ShadowClan unattended (even knowing that she would be leaving it to someone she trusted, how far could that trust even go?); and truth be told, part of her wanted to skip the Gathering altogether as well. Let the other Clans think what they would, she was tired and didn't care to feel the judgment of the forest.
But that choice wasn't hers to make, so she led the cats of ShadowClan into the clearing with her head held high.
For the first time, she found herself face to face with the Great Rock and not intending to stand at the base. She could, to some extent, get away with standing in the shadow of the Jaggedrock; it kept her on equal footing with the rest of ShadowClan, something she intended to emphasize as their leader. But now she needed to stand on equal footing with the rest of the forest's leaders, as much as it bothered her.
She swiftly ascended the rock, offering the other leaders a polite wave of her tail in greeting.
Social pleasantries were important, usually, but she was still so tired.

Ravenpaw was barely an apprentice. Barely left the nursery, yet she followed after her clanmates with a nervous but cold exterior. It was no use being excited if she was going to be at one every moon for the rest of her life, probably. She watched Leopardsun pounce towards the Highrock, before turning towards the crowd of cats. There were certainly more than she had expected. How many more cats were coming? Ravenpaw shook the thought from her head and found a spot closer to the back.
Ravenpaw seems closed off, but is open for conversation.

Acornstem's tail swished nervously as she stepped into the clearing, following not far behind Mottlestar - with Echosong and Fawnshine at her side. RiverClan was already there - and SkyClan started to filter into the clearing not long after. She however couldn't deny the flicker of fear that spiked through her as ShadowClan's scent rolled in, turning to see... Oh. It was Leopardsun who was leading the charge - pausing briefly at the base of the rock before she leapt up to join the other leaders. ...Had Nightstar...?
She swear she could still feel the bolt of lightning that had managed to hit her as she nervously shifted on her paws. It seemed the RiverClan deputy was finally here and Wolfblossom was sitting at the base...Still no sign of a ShadowClan deputy if something had happened to Nightstar... She leaned her head, giving Echosong a gentle purr before she stepped away to join the other deputies, dipping her head as she took a seat next to them. "Hello! You're Poppyshine, right?" she meowed, glancing at the RiverClan deputy. "Its wonderful to meet you - I'm Acornstem, new deputy of ThunderClan for the last few moons." There was a pause as she glanced up, ears twitching. "...Hopefully tonight goes better than last moon as...Well, with all due respect, I am relieved to see that Nightstar isn't attending after his behavior at the last few Gatherings." Acornstem is making small-talk with the deputies.
------------------------------
Badgermask's tail swished back and forth as she following her mother, a huff escaping her. Truth be told, she had little reason to attend - there had been a thought of to remain behind but...No, it would serve her better to see how her Clanmates behaved themselves now that they had a new leader - even if Leopardsun had yet to make the trek. She wasn't sure what she thought about that whole thing and was wondering what her mother would say.... She took a spot in the back, ears remaining perk as her gaze lazily scanned over the crowd before she simply fixed her attention onto the Greatrock as she waited for this whole thing to get started.
Badgermask is not open to be approached.
------------------------------
Creamsky is not attending after the chaos of the last few Gatherings.
------------------------------
Duckpaw's eyes were bright as they padded carefully among their Clanmates, tail up and puffed in excitement at the fact that they were going to their first Gathering. Sure, they had heard the whispers of distaste over how the last few had gone but honestly, Duckpaw was just excited for the chance to get to meet the other Clans. They could feel a bit of tiredness in their paws but it wasn't enough to stop them as they took a seat, unsure of who to approach if any. Maybe it would be better to wait for somebody to talk to them first...?
