Subject: August Gathering 2024 Thu 1 Aug 2024 - 6:30
The full moon once again rose above the horizon, signaling yet another gathering. With tensions brewing, will tonight remain a night of peace, or could the sacred truce be broken?
Subject: Re: August Gathering 2024 Thu 1 Aug 2024 - 6:40
With another full moon came another gathering, and Wolfstar led her clan to fourtrees in silence. At least tonight she did not feel too awful as she had been with the heat recently, but she was less thrilled to see that Skyclan were the first to arrive. They had the longest trek to the gathering, yet seemed to habitually be the first to arrive. Her patience for gatherings was at a low, but maybe that was just because it was greenleaf. She was keeping an eye out for her grandchildren in Windclan and Shadowclan, and part of her was tempted to ask them both to come home, though she knew that would probably be futile. Bubblebeam had made her choice, and Hemlockfox was bound to Starclan's will.
Skyclan may enter the gathering!
---
Honeypaw stuck close to her clanmates as they entered fourtrees, blue eyes glancing about the hollow. It seemed they were the first to arrive this time... She was curious to see if that scared Shadowclan apprentice would be here this time. They had met on the border and hadn't come to blows, but Honeypaw found herself curious about the other she-cat.
Subject: Re: August Gathering 2024 Thu 1 Aug 2024 - 10:06
Acornstar was a bit surprised to see that she - and thus ThunderClan - were the second to arrive, so shortly after SkyClan even! There was of course a little surprise that they had been beaten, but to her it also made a lick of sense - the other four Clans were closer... They were more willing to drag their paws in leaving when they knew how quickly they could arrive. She motioned for her Clan to follow as she stepped into the clearing, making her way to the rock as she dipped her head to Wolfstar as she jumped up. "I hope SkyClan has been well," she meowed as she took her seat - thankful for the peace that had seemed to settle a bit between their Clans. She wasn't sure if their alliance would be formed again in their lifetime - or maybe even the next... But she was thankful that at least the aftermath of the war had seemed to settle on each Clan keeping their distance. With how few warriors ThunderClan had after all, trouble was the last thing the leader wanted...

POPPYSTAR
Just stop your crying...
The previous moon had gone by in a blur. Poppystar was surprised to find her paws guiding her clan back through the forest and towards Fourtrees. It was a nice greenleaf night and the sunless warmth felt nice on her pelt. The moon had been a quiet one, and honestly, she hoped that the next one would be too.
She arrived and bid a quiet farewell to Cindersky before she leapt up onto the Great Rock. It had been easier to see Wolfstar the more time that had passed since their clans clashed, and so she gave her and Acornstar a smile. “Good evening. I hope all is well with both of your clans.”

The recently named Moonpaw entered the clearing with the rest of his clan. Luckily, the travel wasn't long and the scorching sun wasn't pestering their backs like during the day. A small sigh of relief at the sight of the trees and he quickly settled down among the younger members of Thunderclan.

Time moved fast. It seemed one moment he was speaking to Leopardstar and then following his clan home and then the next he is right back here. The tall tom heaved out a silent sigh before signalling his clan into the clearing. Hopefully this gathering was a little bit more peaceful than the last.
Tigerstar quickly made his way over to the rock, jumping up without much issues. The tom dipped his head to the other leaders before speaking. "Greetings. Hope things are well with you all." A blanket statement was good. It covered what he needed it to.

Leopardwind enterred the Gathering with the rest of WindClan, looking around at the almost empty clearing. It seems some of RiverClan and ThunderClan was already here, but SkyClan and ShadowClan's leaders were no where to be found. With a disinterested hum, the black WindClanner found a spot close to the leader's place and sat down, curling his tail over his paws and craning his neck to look up at Tigerstar. His Father seemed rather busy lately, so busy in fact that they hardly had any time to speak. Leopardwind hoped that Father was not forgetting about him or his siblings just yet. Brightripple still made time for them all, so Tigerstar had no excuse.

Finally, Lighttail was back on her paws and ready to attend a gathering. Her mental health had dipped a bit with the disappearance of her son, but she’d been surrounded by supportive cats this time. The silver tabby sat down, fluffy white tail tucked around her paws, and waited. Lighttail is open.
Another moon, another Gathering. As always, Sageroot joined the deputies near the Great Rock. As far as she knew, tonight would be no different than any other. Sageroot is not open unless you’re Speedy.
“SKYCLAN HAS ARRIVED, BABY!” Mistypaw yowled. “Ooh, hey WindClan cat! I’m Mistypaw, what’s your name? Let me guess, Blackpaw? You look like you’re not much older than me.” Mistypaw has approached Leopardwind and just called him an apprentice.
Minkpaw could scarcely believe her eyes as she entered the Gathering. “Wow, this is amazing!” she mewed. “Hey look at all those cats!” Minkpaw is next to Moonpaw.

Flurrypaw wasn't far behind his sister, ears perked as he scanned the clearing. So many cats... He hadn't been sure what to expect, and he could only let out a noise of agreement at his sister's exclamation. He could feel a wave of nervousness flood through him but he shoved it down - it was unbecoming of a cat as great as himself to be nervous. So what if there was all of these cats here? He knew he was better than them - maybe not by rank but he would prove his skill in due time. His eyes scanned the crowd, debating if he wanted to split off from his fellow apprentices or not - it would be good to let the other Clans get to bask in his awesomeness...
Flurrypaw is sticking close to Minkpaw and Moonpaw
Duckfeather was sticking to the back of the RiverClan group, a tired huff escaping them as they plopped down at the edge of the clearing. It wasn't one of their bad days...But they still felt exhausted, the weariness starting to seep in the closer they had gotten to Fourtrees. They knew a brief nap would fix this, it always did on days (nights?) like this but the Gathering was hardly the place to take a nap. They curled their tail around them, hiding their paws within and let their claws slightly prickle their skin beneath the fluff of fur, causing them to slightly wince. Hopefully the minor pain would help keep them awake, the last thing they wanted was to drift off in public even if it would likely be a brief nap.
Duckfeather is doing their best not to fall asleep at the edge of the clearing.
Eveningmoon wasn't sure why she had chosen to tag along - she had been avoiding the last few Gatherings for a reason. She wasn't sure what to do with herself with all of these cats, far too nervous to greet the other Clans...But that tended to leave her alone when her Clanmates were often speaking with them. That being said, she didn't mind being alone but it just felt... A soft sigh escaped her as she took a seat, ears twitching. She just wished she didn't feel so out of place which made herself question it once again - why had she bothered to come?

i've given up on counting blessings
Leopardstar led the way into the clearing, greeting the other Clans' leaders as she ascended the Great Rock. "I hope this evening finds you well," she offered to the four of them, her usual pleasantries, though she also found herself wondering what Tigerstar would do--had done--to handle the situation she'd presented him with.
Well. So long as no more trespassers assaulted her Clanmates, the matter was in his paws, not her own. It wouldn't do any good to press for details, with what little goodwill already existed between them.
ShadowClan may now enter the Gathering!

Larkshine Tier 4 Warrior | Shadowclan | She/Her
Larkshine followed after her clan with her usual happy pace. So much had happened since the last gathering and she was excited to see if there were any new faces among the other clans. Her pace quickened as they got closer to four trees and she was surprised to see Skyclan was there before them.
Quickly Larkshine found a place in the middle of the crowds. They were still waiting on Riverclan to arrive but she was ok just waiting and listening to all the cats chatter around her.

Every time she came, she recognized fewer and fewer faces among the other clans. Harebounce peered through the eyeholes of her pelt at the slowly gathering cats, searching among ThunderClan’s throng for her grandchild, Sleepycloud, as well as her own daughter Hopepaw. Warmth like the long-set sun grew in her heart at the possibility of seeing them again tonight.
-
Redsun followed Acornstar alongside his new apprentice Moonpaw with pride, chattering quite loudly along the way. Once they entered the clearing, he didn’t expect the young cat to just simply sit amongst their Clanmates! Mintpaw and Flurrypaw came to linger next to them too. “There are plenty of cats to meet, why not talk to them? Nobody’s gonna bite you, and even if they do, they’d just get kicked out! Why not try it? You can do it together if you’re nervous!” His gaze swept across the clearing as if to show the diversity of cats his apprentice could meet, although his encouraging grin appeared a bit strained as he spotted the occasional, vaguely familiar SkyClan cats in the crowd.
-
As it was Snakepaw’s first Gathering, he somewhat followed behind Leopardwind as his gaze took in everything and everyone. ‘So that’s how tall the Great Rock and the oaks are…’ his thoughts and observations switched to the voice of an apprentice – Mistypaw, they called themselves – taking his mentor for an apprentice. The white tom smirked and laughed under his breath before he peeled away to let Leopardwind deal with the fool by himself. There weren’t many cats here yet, what with hem all still trickling in, so the young tom lingered along the advancing edge of WindClan cats, his ears straining to hear if the leaders were talking about anything interesting.

Swiftheart was excited as ever for this gathering, the extraverted warrior wanted to talk to others from other clans and get to meet new friends and had been counting down the days until this gathering night was finally here. She followed close behind her leader and when they were close enough to the fourtrees, she darted ahead zooming into the clearning to look around.
There were already a fair number here and she wanted to not miss a second of this gathering.
As she looked around and walked between all the many pelts she spotted a familiar pelt but hadn't really met her before, it was Sageroot, the thunderclan deputy, of course she had known of her but never really met her.
With a pleasent smile and flick of her tail energetically she went over to meet her moreso.
"Hello, I'm Swiftheart! I'm from shadowclan" she meowed in greeting as she went up to her.
Swiftheart Is Talking With Sageroot
----------------
Rapidfire walked in with her clan, she somewhat liked gatherings but was always a bit on edge for them, it was hard to ever predict just what all would go down during them was all.
She was about to head over to where the deputies usually met up when she was interupted.
A calico cat was waving for her attention and she tilted her head curiously, "Erm hello?"
------------
"Oh it is very good to finally meet you!" the formal Sprucebark meowed dipping his head, "I do try and get to know the different high ranks, I'm Sprucebark of Riverclan, son of Poppystar
Well he seemed very formal
Sprucebark and Rapidfire are talking to each other
-----------
Lavendercloud sat near the back of the windclan ranks - she wondered what was taking her mate so long to get here... if he was out raiding the twoleg trash again she would cuff his ears, not for the action but because he should have invited her.
Lav is open to talk to ---------
Stormwatcher drug his paws along while going, "Do We gotta go to this stupid thing!?" he meowed at Wolfstar the whole way over
Storm is open to talk to but approach with cation if you are riverclan
----------
Eaglefly really did try to keep an eye on his apprentice but the moment they got to four trees his gaze on Sunpaw was lost from the many swarming pelts going every which way. He gave a sigh and eyeroll at himself for losing her. Oh great he muttered to himself... His mom had just left him so it seemed fitting he should lose his apprentice too.
Maybe Kestrel would be around?
Eagle is open to talk with

Briarpatch was somewhat nervous, but also excited to attend the gathering. She had been to gatherings before, yes, but this would be her first having had her warrior ceremony just days prior. She sat near her former mentor, surveying the crowd quietly as she watched her mother join the other leaders on the great rock.
---
Honeypaw glanced around as the other clans began to trickle into fourtrees. One of her fellow apprentices had gone to talk with some Windclanners it looked like... Rather excitedly, at that. With a quiet laugh to herself, she watched as one of the Windclanners turned away. Hopefully the younger apprentice wasn't causing trouble...
Curious, Honeypaw stepped forward, weaving through the crowd toward the white tom. "Don't mind Mistypaw, she's a bit excited." She mewed, whiskers twitching, "My name's Honeypaw, what's yours?"
---
Cloudjumper padded into fourtrees alongside her clanmates, green eyes taking note of the other clans already in the hollow. Personally, she didn't see why she should care about the other clans at all, but her presence helped Windclan, their numbers were sure to signal their strength to the others. Thus, she attended the gatherings without complaint, even if they seemed like a waste of time.
Briarpatch is open to talk. Honeypaw has approached Snakepaw. Cloudjumper is open to talk.

OATFLUFFare you going to age with grace? he/him - t3 windclan warrior
Oatfluff scanned the crowd as he tried to find the best seat near the most new faces. He wanted to meet cats outside WindClan, and this was the place to do it! After all, this was where he'd first met Hemlockfox all those moons ago. As his amber eyes glided over the crowd of cats, he settled on one cat in particular - a grey and white molly sitting with ShadowClan. She looked friendly! He made his way through the cats somewhat clumsily. Finally, their eyes met, and he gave her a friendly smile.
"Hi there! I'm Oatfluff of WindClan. I think I've seen you around - what's your name?" The mottled brown tom purred as he introduced himself. He didn't meet new cats often, but he loved it when he did!
Oatfluff has approached Larkshine.
NIGHTPAWeverybody loves a quiet child he/him - shadowclan apprentice
Nightpaw padded into the clearing cautiously. Every hair on his pelt was pricked with fear, and though he was able to keep his ears from pinning back too much, his paws burned and his chest leapt. As his heart hammered on, he dropped his gaze and refused to look at the crowd. If I pretend they're not there, they can't hurt me. It was his first Gathering as a medicine cat apprentice, and his second Gathering ever. He didn't love coming to them and would much rather stay home, tending to the herb stocks, if he could.
The small apprentice had just wanted to stay back. He'd reasoned with Leopardstar - what if something happened? What if they needed a healer back home? But with Fuzzybelly and Rookfire in their ranks, they would be fine if he left for a short while. Besides, the Clans should see the new medicine apprentice... it was good to keep up appearances or whatever. It was stupid. But he could at least catch a glimpse of what was happening in the other Clans. He lived under a rock most of the time, content in his own world.
Nightpaw carried himself slow as he approached the other medicine cats. He was glad he at least recognized the burly, rude tom, and Pigeonpounce, who'd been so kind to him. Not knowing where to sit was a real worry of his, but he didn't have to go into this blind, at least. He didn't peep a word, instead sitting down and curling his tail protectively around himself as he stared at his own paws. This was so much harder without Heatherberry.
Nightpaw is available to talk to, but he might cry.
Sunpaw wasn't thrilled to be at another Gathering. They were stupid. Why get so many cats into one space if they weren't allowed to argue? They had issues to hash out, particularly with ShadowClan, but StarClan forbid they do anything about it - or...what? Some dead cats sent a storm after them? Covered the moon with a cloud? Ah, she was so scared. Practically shaking.
The tortoiseshell molly followed close behind her mentor. She was doing her best not to glare, but it wasannoying that she'd had to forgo her nightly training session for this. Her tail swept the ground, flicking irritably as she walked. When she next looked up, Eaglefly was nowhere to be seen. Had she been swept away? Sunpaw looked around wildly for the tom. "Eagle?" She called as she shouldered past unfamiliar faces and pelts. She couldn't have gone far.
"There you are." Her eyes locked onto him, and she hurried toward him. She breathed a sigh of relief. With a gentle nudge, she settled beside Eaglefly, looking around cautiously at all the cats. "I hate these things." Sunpaw huffed.
Sunpaw is sitting with Eaglefly, but is open to talk to!
SMOKEYTIMBER "i'll hum the song the soldiers sing . . . " he/him- t2 shadowclan warrior
Smokeytimber slid between cats as he found a place to sit. There was no question about it - he'd sit with ShadowClan, as always. Mingling with the other Clans seemed distasteful, and could only lead to weakness later on. Why make friends you might have to betray?
The large tom sat close to the front. He wanted a good view of his mom when she announced he and his sister as new warriors. Speaking of... he'd never actually gotten the chance to congratulate her! She'd been swept away so quickly after her ceremony. Smokeytimber found her quickly - he'd know that pelt anywhere - and sat down by her and Larkshine. There was an odd WindClanner speaking to the older warrior, but he just eyed him carefully without saying anything and minded his own business.
"Briarpatch! Congratulations, by the way - the name suits you." He purred, with a gentle sweep of his tail over her shoulders. "Told you your ceremony wouldn't be far off." Smokeytimber pressed his nose to her ear in an affectionate gesture, then settled back down. The Gathering would be starting any minute now! Leopardstar would announce the pair as warriors before all the Clans, and he'd cheer Briarpatch's name the loudest.
