A still, eerie quiet settled over Fourtrees, the pale light of the moon illuminating the twoleg clutter strewn about the sacred clearing. A faint scent accompanied the items, too fresh to have been a result of the twoleg invasion several moons ago. As the clans gathered for another night of sharing tongues, they couldn't help but wonder if this was a sign of something to come...

Birdstar
Birdstar was hesitant to return to Fourtrees so soon after they'd left, but the full moon rising in the sky was a signal she wouldn't ignore. As she padded closer to the hollow, she was surprised to see they were the first Clan to arrive– and more surprised to see twoleg messes that hadn't been there when SkyClan left. Ears lowering, she gave Wolfblossom a wary look. If twolegs were hanging around here again... "Keep your ears and eyes open," Birdstar murmured to her deputy, nodding towards the clutter. With that, she crossed the clearing and leaped to take her place on the Rock.

Shrikestar felt strange returning to Fourtrees after all that had happened. It felt like it'd just happened, and yet the full moon spoke otherwise. Shaking his head, he led his clan into the clearing, noticing that SkyClan had already made it. "Be careful," he warned his clan, noticing the twoleg mess that was hard to miss. "Don't go off alone." With that, he made his way into the clearing, then over to the Great Rock, where he leaped up and took his place there. "Hello Birdstar. Hopefully things are well now that you're back in your own territory." There was an uncomfortable chill running down Shrikestar's spine, like it was trying to tell him something was coming. He didn't know what that was, but he remained wary.

Mottlestar had no hesitation in leading her clan into the clearing. For all that leafbare had brought with it, on the flip side, everything seemed to finally be calming down again. Her head was held high as she led everyone in, but her eyes were on alert. The amber gaze swept the clearing as her tortoiseshell pelt for once stuck out against the background of the forest, and she was saddened to see the twoleg meddlings. But there was relief as she saw Skyclan, and it looked as if they had in fact been able to return home. The mental note to discuss things with Birdstar once more returned to her mind.
Leaping atop the great rock, she gave a greeting towards both Wolfblossom and Birdstar. "Greetings. I hope Skyclan has had an easier time than the last moon?" She purred kindly. As little as they knew each other, the much smaller tortoiseshell actually had taken quite a liking to Skyclan's newest leader.
Mottlestar is talking to Birdstar!
Marigoldmask followed in, keeping an eye on her apprentice as she did. This wasn't her first gathering, nor would it be her last, but it was still important she acted accordingly. "Remember, tonight, everyone is our friend. Feel free to talk to whoever you meet, but it's also okay if you just want to stick by me." She regarded to her apprentice, giving a comforting nudge. It was easily overwhelming for a young cat in the crowd, which she fully understood.
Marigoldmask is making sure her apprentice is okay, but is open to conversation!

Nightstar padded into the clearing, a badger pelt covering his back and shoulders, and its ugly face sitting upon the Shadowclan leaders head. Strong and proud, the tom lead his clan forwards with his tail high, unwavering as he crossed the clearing and made it to the great rock where he jumped up to with growing ease. He wasnt the first leader to arrive, for once, Shadowclan had been consistently coming in first since he had lead them in as Nightstar. It made sense, since they were the nocturnal masters of the night, but that meant that gatherings consistently impacted their daily duties, unlike the other clans with their sleep schedules. If need be, then taking the advantage on a sleep deprived clan, would be a great opportunity. Shrugging the thought away, Nightstar nodded respectfully to the leaders that would follow him shortly.
Shadowclan may enter the gathering.

Wolfblossom hadn't been particularly thrilled to be returning to fourtrees, but at least the gathering would not be held in Skyclan's makeshift camp this moon. They could leave when it was over. She padded alongside Birdstar, a frown crossing her face as she noted the new twoleg debris that hadn't been there when Skyclan had left the hollow originally. "The twolegs have been busy." Wolfblossom muttered, her ear twitched in response to Birdstar's order. They'd all need to be careful. The deputy took her place at the base of the great rock, gazing out over her clanmates. Windclan and Thunderclan were quick to arrive, and she waited for the other deputies to approach. She hoped the gathering would be calm and uneventful, but with the twoleg items strewn around the hollow, she was wary.

Stonepaw followed Skyclan to fourtrees. It felt strange to be back here for the night, and she had to fight to keep her ears from flattening at the sight of twoleg objects glinting in the moonlight. How quickly had they been left there after Skyclan had gone? The scent was stale, but she didn't trust that the twolegs would stay away and seeing the objects brought to mind the chaos of her kithood in this hollow. The apprentice kept close to her clanmates as the other clans slowly started to arrive. She wondered if the gathering would take longer now that Skyclan wasn't sheltering here and Birdstar had no reason to rush the other clans out after the announcements. She hoped it wouldn't take longer, personally, and being so far from home (when she had started to think of Skyclan camp as home, she wasn't really sure, but it was) had the she-cat on edge.

Moonpaw's nose wrinkled as the scents of other clans filled her nose, but her expression smoothed quickly. Skyclan was here, and those filthy Windclanners she had heard so much about. Thunderclan had also beaten Shadowclan there, it seemed, and while this was only her first gathering, Moonpaw wasn't impressed that Shadowclan had somehow been late. Not as late as the one clan that remained to enter fourtrees, but later than the other clans. Not that she wanted to interact with these inferior flea-bitten cats, of course. The only ones here who deserved her time were her own family. She glanced around for Leopardsun or one of her siblings, but her gaze found neither yet. Leopardsun would probably be busy, anyways. Moonpaw would stick to her own clan for now.
Beechfang is captured by twolegs (not that she'd attend anyways lol) Brackenwing is not in attendance. Wolfblossom is open to talk. Stonepaw is open to talk. Flamegaze has not arrived yet. Moonpaw is open to talk at your own risk.

Emberpaw nodded at her mentor's words.I hope I can make friends with some of the other apprentices! she thought with excitement. As eager as she was, Emberpaw still felt slightly overwhelmed at the vast amount of cats that were already in the clearing, and how the tall trees that surrounded them seemed to stretch straight into the stars themselves. She wasn't yet born when SkyClan had briefly lived here, but she'd heard stories of the twolegs and their...unpredictability.
Emberpaw shivered as she spotted some twoleg rubbish cluttering the edge of the clearing. "I'll stay with you for a little bit," she told Marigoldmask. Atleast until the other clans get here.
Emberpaw is open to talk, especially with other apprentices!

Goldenpaw stepped into the clearing, her legs trembling as the unfamiliar scents of the other clans mingled with Thunderclan scents. There was just so many scents everywhere, the golden tabby wanted nothing more than to run away and hide some where. Swallowing her nervousness, Goldenpaw approached a friendly-looking apprentice.
"h-hi, my name's Goldenpaw," She managed to stutter out, her amber eyes fixed on her paws. _______________________________________________
Sagepaw followed Nightstar as the Shadowclan leader entered the clearing. Immediately, the pale tabby was greeted with the many different scents of cats; the wind-swept heather scent of Windclan, he recognized from the border patrols, and he could just make out the dense foliage scents of Skyclan. Other than that, he could only guess.
The musky, dense scents of root and undergrowth must belong to Thunderclan, and only Riverclan cats would smell like willow, reeds and stone. Satisfied that he had figured out all four scents, Sagepaw sat down quietly with his tail around his paws.

Firepaw trailed behind the other Skyclan apprentices in attendance, preferring to keep his distance as he had done the gathering before, when he was barely more than a kit. At the very least, it wasn't interrupting his home to have the meeting. Though, it still made him anxious to see so many cats together in one place. He was confident in his own abilities, but if cats started a fight... how much chaos could be caused.
Tigerpaw trotted in close behind Nightstar, though he would be looking for his mentor. The tom, while excited to be at his first gathering, had quickly noticed the fresh scent of twolegs on his way in, and knew that his leader would've scented the same. Memories of his capture floated close to the front of his mind, and he did his best to keep the fear he had felt as a kit from his face and body. Perhaps being near Locustcall would calm him.
Sparrowpaw quietly padded in with the rest of Windclan, choosing a spot by herself. She would move to her brothers if she spotted them, and she was sure she would, but the new apprentice had no interest in speaking. Not that she did on a normal day, but having to be up at night, if anything, just made her grumpy. Tail flicking with irritation, she kept her eyes peeled for her siblings as the other clans filtered in.
Firepaw is awkwardly standing (alone) in the gathering! Tigerpaw is searching for Locustcall, but is open to be spoken to! Sparrowpaw is watching for her siblings, but is open to be spoken to (if you dare)!

Tigerpaw was so excited to finally attend a gathering, he had heard so many stories from warriors and elders alike, but the second he stepped in that feeling was squished like a bug. The scent of twolegs, their... things scattered around.. This isn't what he imagined when they spoke of the fourtress.. Just exactly was going on here? Still, the tom held his head high. He couldn't show that he was overly cautious. He wanted to make Windclan look good, to make himself look good.

Echomist didn't want to be here. The first sign of Twolegs the spotted tom wanted to turn and head back to camp. The gathering wasn't worth the risk.. They had enough to deal with already, they didn't need to lose more cats, but he couldn't let his mate down, nor his brother. They counted on him. So he pushed forward. Settling near where the deputies would be. He wasn't going to let his mate out of his sight, nor his children either. He wouldn't risk his family. The first sign of trouble he would get them out of here.

Thornstalker didn't go far. She didn't need her leader's word of warning to let her know to be cautious. The sign of twolegs.. their mess scattered around. The small pale warrior couldn't bring herself to get closer. She wouldn't risk it. So she settled along the edge of the clearing. Ready for the worst possible scenario at a moments notice.

Perchstar didn't like this. She didn't like any of this one bit. If it weren't for the Warrior Code insisting that a Gathering be held every full moon, she would have made all her warriors stay back at camp--and even with the code, she'd briefly considered ignoring the summons. However, she had reluctantly led her Clanmates to Fourtrees, and now was regretting it even more. Twoleg items--incomprehensible things of strange materials she couldn't place--were littered all around the clearing. Their smell was even stronger than normal. This place was no longer safe. Why did the stars insist they continue to go here? Why didn't the stars do anything? Frustrated and worried, Perchstar let no emotion show on her face as she turned back to her much-smaller-than-usual accompanying party of cats. "Don't touch anything. Stay together," she ordered. "We're leaving the second this is over, or the moment anything happens. I do not intend to let another one of my Clanmates be taken away." With that, she nodded to Poppyshine--hoping the fear in her eyes was not overly visible--and went over to the Great Rock, where all the other leaders had arrived already. A quick dip of the head to Mottlestar was all she gave, before settling down and waiting with tight haunches ready to spring off the rock at any sign of danger. She was uncomfortable, and to anyone who could read body language, that was no secret.
RiverClan may now enter the Gathering. Flutterpetal is staying home.

Mallardstep took his role in stride. He was aware it was temporary, and was certainly eager to see Sandyshell’s return, but that did not stop him from enjoying his duty. And while this was just another professional meeting with the other medicine cats, he knew gatherings usually had a bit more chatting. If his colleagues were to press about the missing she-cat’s whereabouts again, he might be inclined to share. Besides, Perchstar might announce it anyway. Either way, the black and white tom strode into the clearing proudly. He’d always wanted to be someone important.
But… something was wrong.
His leader and deputy were no longer at his side. In fact, the cats filling Fourtrees weren’t there either. Mallardstep turned around once, then twice. “What…” he whispered, his ears flicking back with suspicion. Then he noticed the sky had changed. It was no longer night, but now day. The sun spun above him, rising and falling about seven times. Seven days. Then barking reached his ears, followed by the strange squeaks of twolegs. Danger. He tried to call out to Perchstar, but the name was stuck on his tongue.
He paused.
There was another sound: Voices. One, in particular, was much more familiar than the rest. A light gasp escaped him. He could hear her voice. Sandyshell’s voice. Calling out to him, crying for help. He whipped around, trying to find her. But, he was back at the gathering. Cats once again surrounded him, as if nothing had happened. He blinked three times to process. Was that all a vision?
Ears pricked and gaze wide, he immediately padded over to the Highrock. “Perchstar,” he meowed up to her, also looking to Poppyshine for her attention, “I need to see you, privately. Right now.”
[Mallardstep has seen something strange, and wants to tell Perchstar and Poppyshine.]

You're the pretender, what if I say I'll never surrender?
Locustcall padded along with the rest of the Shadowclan cats, his nose wrinkling when he entered the clearing of Fourtrees. Twoleg scent wafted from strange objects strewn about the ground, far fresher than he felt safe being around. However, none of the leaders seemed put off enough to cancel the gathering or switch locations, so he looked for his apprentice instead. This would be their first gathering under strange circumstances, he wanted to make sure they were alright.
Amber eyes locked onto the younger brown tabby tom. He looked stiff... Locustcall padded up from behind Tigerpaw, resting his tail protectively over his flank. "The smells are faint. There's a good chance the twolegs just dropped their filth here and left. Just don't touch anything and stay close to Shadowclan." To him, but that specificity didn't manage to drop off his tongue. Surely with this many cats around some clumsy twolegs couldn't get the drop on them.

Harrierpaw would not be attending this time for fear of what happened the last time she was here, meaning Batpaw could be at rest while that hovering apprentice was at camp. His pelt was pristine and fluffy, his chest puffed out in pride of his own appearance. He felt sorry for whoever laid eyes on him... Surely they would fall head over heels in love, unable to live normally again due to his beauty.
Firepaw's russet and black head was held proudly for a different reason: her first gathering. One step closer to being a warrior ThunderClan would be proud of. Today would mark yet another milestone in her ambitions to be the best she could be. She would make these cats proud and they will come to know her name throughout this forest. She'd make sure of it.

Sunpaw bounded into the clearing, his ginger fur fluffed up against the cold. Brairrose's words echoed through his head: Tell me when you find some friends, okay? I look forward to meeting them. That was moons ago, when he was still a kit, but now that he was finally an apprentice -- and at his very first Gathering! -- he was going to fulfill his promise.

Tawnypaw padded into the clearing, her whole body tense and ready for a fight. Yes, there was a truce, but every Shadowclan cat knew that any other Clan could not be trusted; History speaks for itself. Giving the gathered cats a warning glare, she plopped herself down on the ground and wrapped her tail around her paws stiffly.
