February’s Gathering 2018

The Leafbare bleak forest was laden with a freshly fallen blanket of snow that softly reflected the weak light of the full moon. The barren and snow-drenched hollow that marked the Clan’s traditional gathering place sat in a near perfect silence, clearly awaiting the arrival of tonight’s Gathering participants.

Ashstar was the first into the Gathering, WindClan flooding in behind her. Her paws barely left prints atop the fresh, pristine snow, and her fluffy fur kept out most of the brisk chill. Another moon come and gone. She found herself dreading this Gathering, after Ivystar's declaration of war and attempt to gain allies, but she needed to be here if only for Blizzardstar. The she-cat leapt onto the Great Rock, careful not to slide on the icy surface, waiting patiently for the other Clans.

Quailfeather walked in behind her leader, shivering in the cold. Her blue eyes searched for her family and friends as she arrived in the clearing. She ought to make sure the apprentice's knew what they were doing, as a senior warrior- or at least her own apprentice. But they were the first ones there. Freezing in the chilly air, the gray speckled she-cat sat down to wait.

Ivystar marched ahead through to the clearing, her silver pelt almost blending into the snow drenched hollow. But still, she managed to push through, cutting a path through the white fields till she reached her destination on the Great rock. She hopped up with one mighty leap, and scrambled the rest of the way to the top.

Swiftstep walked into the gathering behind Quailfeather and Ashstar. His body softly shivered as the cold air raced past his sleek body. He took a spot and sat down. Waiting to spot any other familiar faces.

Lilytail arrived behind Ivystar. She quickly sat down after finding a good spot and waited. Her skinny body tried to get warm but to no avail.

Snowblossom waded through the snow, blending in with her fluffy white fur. She padded in behind her Clanmates, glancing around nervously at the scent of WindClan cats. Cats of other Clans all frightened her, but especially ThunderClan and WindClan did so the most. After the fight, she felt like every enemy cat was going to jump at her. Shivering, but not from the cold, she looked around for familiar faces among her Clanmates.

Heronpaw padded into the gathering with his clanmates.  How could I call them my clanmates after this!? he thought to himself as he sat, happy to mingle with other cats for once. However, he would not talk to WindClan or ThunderClan cats, as he called them "fox-hearted excuses for cats".

OOC: FINALLY after 10 days!  Also, Heronpaw is open to talk to - if you're ShadowClan or SkyClan! Which is impossible right now, considering that only WindClan and RiverClan are in the gathering right now...

Tension was evident in the powerful muscles beneath Brindlewhisker's sleek fur, rippling and twitching with each and every step she took after Ashstar. After dealing with the issues caused by Wolfkit, the last thing she felt like sitting through was the petty bickering between ThunderClan and Riverclan that they would inevitably be dragged into. Even though a more than capable senior warrior had been left to monitor the tom, she'd rather be back at camp to guard the craven herself. Ignoring the bitter chill that seeped through her thin fur, the brindled she-cat swept through the snow drifts that were piled up all around her without so much as a shiver.

Shaking away the soft flakes of snow that now clung to her fur, Brindlewhisker took her traditional seat and faced the slowly gathering crow with a lifted chin and disinterested eyes.

Struggling through a particularly deep clump of snow, Splashwillow let out a short, irritated sneeze as the frigid flakes clung to her well-groomed fur. While some of her kits still adored such terrible weather, she could definitely say that she felt no love for this Leafbare's weather. Feeling her teeth chatter as heavy clumps of snow weighed down the soft fur of her belly, the calico she-cat determinedly marched after Ivystar and Snowblossom, stopping every couple of steps to shake away the ice that now weighed down her paws. Letting out a sigh, Splashwillow twisted around to catch the overly-excited Adderpaw by her tail and push her back onto the correct path.

A twisting and frantic path in the snow was left in Adderpaw's wake, proving that she had actually crashed through every single snow drift that she had encountered during the journey from RiverClan's territory. Ignoring her mother's occasional warning glances and scoldings, the young she-cat stayed hard on the heels of Ivystar for the duration of the trip, clearly eager to see her kin in action. Prancing past Snowblossom with an excited trill, the fluffy young she-cat only halted her eager bouncing once Splashwillow gently caught her tail and forced her to do so.

Spotpaw padded in behind Ivystar with Heronpaw. "Looks like we're the second ones here. Windclan's too fast, those moor runners." He tried to joke.

Rookpaw came to the Gathering, full of awe. This was her first of what was hopefully to be many. Although it was just WindClan and RiverClan at that juncture, it was still fantastical to see what she could only imagine up to then. Despite her wonder, she was afraid that RiverClan would attack her own Clan over what she did to Goldenpaw in a fit of mouse-brained thought.

Dawnlight was there as well, alongside his Clan. He always came to these meetings. He could not bear to imagine leaving his sister, Featherpaw, all on her lonesome.

Snailbelly came to the Gathering like he always did, generally easygoing and lax. But he was on edge tonight. ThunderClan had attempted to steal back one of their warriors while his mate was on duty. He was still worried about her and about the futures of the two Clans.

Fernfeather fluffed out her thick fur against the freezing leaf-bare cold, sliding up next to Swiftstep and pressing her flank up against his, searching for his body warmth. She could tell this was going to be a very bad Gathering...

(OOC: Sweetheart has decided not to attend the Gathering this time around on account she needs to care for Shadekit.)

Falconpaw came in with Windclan. Her eyes widened as this was her first time seeing Fourtrees. She sat down and looked around for anybody to talk to.

Fogpaw arrived with Riverclan. He slowly made his way and looked around shyly. The young tom was nervous but secretly excited to be at the gathering. It was his first time after all. He sat and waited patiently for anybody to come and speak to him.

Gustpuddle and Silentstrike padded into the gathering behind Ashstar, both of them unprepared to deal with whatever drama had happened between this gathering and the last. Silentstrike took his seat next to Quailfeather, his black stripes striking against the snow that had settled at Fourtrees.

The Riverclan deputy followed Ivystar silently, his tail up. He walked straightly, no fear or doubt on his face. He knew what was going to happen and he wasn't interested in stop it. Thunderclan had claimed too many lives and even Windlclan dare to harm Goldeneye. Jaystream won't take this injustice any longer. He was made a deputy to protect his clan and that was what he was going to do. He had to be a strong cat for them... or at least appear to be one.

He sat down in his place, just doing a barely nod at the Windclan deputy. There were no friendly smiles this time. There was no time for that.

Lavenderpaw came in with Riverclan and sat by her mother Splashwillow. She was nervous to be here but excited for her first time.

Squirrelpaw arrived at her second gathering with Fernfeather but separated and went with a group of apprentices to chat.

Tinytip followed the rest of her clan with saddened eyes, keeping a close distance with her mate. The experienced warrior was depressed about Rowanpaw and Fawnsong's death. They were so young... and they were killed for nothing but a stupid revenge. They weren't even the ones who killed Thistlepaw but they still died because of that mistake. She sat down with her clan, not wanting to start any conversation with Windclanners.

Silverfang entered the clearing, her chin lifted up and an angry look on her face. She sat down near to Spotpaw as she glanced at her leader and deputy without saying a word. At least Thunderclan wasn't there yet. Those fox-hearted cats were going to pay for her clan's suffering. They lost the war but they wanted revenge and they took the lives of innocent ones. They took the life of HER SISTER. She hated all of them and she wasn't afraid of showing her wrath.
