Comfreyheart
of Thunderclan
Deep breath in. Deep breath out.
Her breaths shuddered. This was the last place she would ever want to be. But equally the place she desperately needed to be. I have to be here. I cannot lose them. She forced her eyes open wider than the moon. She took in and interrogated every slight scent in the air. The biggest threat (currently) was the obvious Twoleg smell lingering around the clearing and the items scattered about. She did not step anywhere close to that trash, only glaring at it.
Before even exiting camp, she gave very clear and stern instructions to the young cats she swore herself to. "Do not leave my side." They understood, to her relief. Some others had tagged along too. Briarrose and Rosepaw stuck nearby, and Comfreyheart kept a loose watch on them. But her main focus was the potential threat of this gathering. She stood still, quiet, and alert. Though she appeared calm, every muscle she had was prepared to disappear with her apprentices.
[Comfreyheart is very anxious and alert. She is watching over Firepaw, Curlypaw, and Echopaw.]
Rosepaw
of Thunderclan
“GATHERING!!” she shouted as she sprung upon Firepaw, “Where are we going first Fire?? That cat? Or maybe that one?”
“You are not to take a pawstep away from me,” demanded the black molly nearby, “Or at least Firepaw isn’t.”
“Why not?”
A sharp gold glare shot back.
“Jeez okay,” she mumbled before turning back to her sister. “If we can’t go to our future friends, let’s bring them to us!” Before another second passed she screamed to the night skies, “SOMEONE COME TALK TO ME!”
[Rosepaw (very loudly) announces her presence, and requests someones attention.]
Mallardstep
[Temporary NPC]
With complete concern and seriousness in his tone and expression, he cleared his throat, “When we entered the clearing, suddenly everyone disappeared around me. I watched seven days pass by in rapid speed, and then heard what sounded like Sandyshell and our other missing clanmates. They- they were crying for help.” He glanced to the trash nearby, “There were also sounds of dogs and Twolegs. I have a feeling they’ll be back soon.”
[Mallardstep is explaining his vision to Perchstar and Poppyshine.]

Being only his second gathering ever, Curlypaw's amazement for the event still made his jaw drop. So many cats gathered in one area, it was a truly wonderful sight. Following after his mentor Comfreyheart, as well as Rosepaw, Firepaw, and Echopaw, the curly-coated apprentice slowed his pace with the others. Turning to the older molly, he could tell she was uncomfortable being here, most likely due to the chaos that the Twolegs had brought that one moon, and he prayed to StarClan that she would be okay by the end of the night. Sitting down, he kept his pelt close to her's in hopes of providing at least some sort of comfort.
"If those Twolegs dare and try anything, I'll be sure that you don't get hurt again," he mewed firmly with a nod of his head, a soft smile growing on his maw as he met his mentor's tense gaze. Before he was able to say anything else, his best friend Rosepaw howled like a dog to the stars above for others to come over and talk to her. Giggling at her utter excitement, he shifted his weight and gently rested his fluffy tail atop his paws. "I bet every-cat will want to be your friend, Rosepaw," he laughed. "If not, I'll make sure they know who 'The Great Rosepaw' is, don't you worry," the tom added lightheartedly to the spunky she-cat, followed by a playful wink.
Curlypaw is with a group of his clanmates, but would love to chat! <3

Birdstar
ThunderClan and WindClan arrived shortly after, and Birdstar offered both leaders a respectful nod at their greeting. "Much better, thank you both. It's especially nice not to have the other four Clans stomping into our 'camp' in the middle of the night." A little laugh left her, light and earnest. To Mottlestar, she even offered a little smile. The little tortoiseshell was nice, and hadn't addressed SkyClan's... presence on their land, either. Not yet, at least– she quietly hoped that wouldn't change, or would go smoothly if it did. She'd hate to lose her distant friendship with ThunderClan's leader, and would hate more to have the other forest-dwelling Clan scorn her when she would soon be asking them for help.
Turning away, she saw ShadowClan was the next to arrive. Birdstar said nothing to Nightstar as he took his place on the Rock, pelt situated across his shoulders. It was a fight to keep her lip from curling at the sight of the badger, but she maintained neutrality as Perchstar arrived.
RiverClan's leader looked... harrowed, to say the least. Birdstar's gaze flicked to watch her Clan file in, noting their shrunken numbers. Poppyshine hadn't been lying, when she'd said RiverClan had suffered from the twolegs lately. Though the older leader hadn't offered her a greeting, Birdstar moved a little nearer, and she was about to lower her voice to whisper something polite and well-wishing when an unfamiliar cat bounded through the crowd, looking rattled and calling up for the leader beside her. Standing straighter and leaning away from Perchstar, Birdstar looked between the gray-and-white cat and the frantic warrior. As Perchstar departed from the Rock and left, her warrior and Poppyshine in tow, Birdstar strained her ears forward, hoping to catch their chatter over the din of Fourtrees.
Adderdawn
The last thing Adderdawn wanted to do was attend a Gathering. He wasn't content to stay home, exactly, but he wanted to be with his brother, with Whisperear. It would have been bearable if they were here, but they had both remained in camp... which Adderdawn to sit quietly, frustratedly alone. His eyes couldn't stop flicking toward the scattered clutter, fresh twoleg scent clinging to the pieces of scrap. Hackles partially raised, he shifted away from WindClan's crowds, moving to sit on the outskirts of the group, and spotted Sparrowpaw sitting by herself as well. After a beat of hesitation, he padded over to his apprentice, sitting quietly beside her.

Fawnshine
Fawnshine padded into the clearing with uncertainty — something unusual to her. For some reason, it was as is the night felt more eerie than usual; an unknowing sense of doubt filled her as she entered the clearing. Upon shaking her head and closing her eyes shut, as she opened them again, the figures of cats in the Gathering seemed to melt out of view. Her clanmates started disappearing, and so did everyone else. The full moon began to fade with the steady rise of day. The medicine cat's heterochromia eyes stared up at the sky in shock, bewildered by the sight she was experiencing — she made sure to count, and it rotated seven times. Then, sharp, loud sounds of barking began to fill her ears, as well as chatters in unknown languages of the two-legs. The metallic clinking noises of cages make her ears flatten, and above all are the loud yowls for help. She could make up the voices of her missing clanmates.
Just what was happening?
Suddenly, she snaps out of the vision she sees. Just... what was that? Her heart accelerating in her chest, Fawnshine had to force herself in attempt to look calm as she walks up to Mottlestar, her eyes holding a slightly panicked, yet also stern look.
"Mottlestar, may I talk to you in private?" She asks, her voice holding a tone of urgency. She also glanced at Thistlemask, showing that she wanted to speak to both of them.
Fawnshine has seen a vision, and is asking Mottlestar and Thistlemask to discuss it with her.
thrushpaw
Thrushpaw's heart raced with excitement as he stepped into the Gathering with the rest of his clan, his mentor by his side as he looked around. The scents of all the different clans and new faces filled him with awe and surprise — he could hardly stay still. His tail raised in excitement, he would take a look around, hoping to find a cat to talk to.
Thrushpaw is open for conversation!
Crowspirit
Crowspirit trotted into the Gathering with her Sagepaw by her side. This would be the apprentice's first Gathering, and she was hoping for him to have a great time, enjoying himself and making new connections — as well as learning things from cats from other clans. While she loved to be social, she made sure to remind the younger tom of needed things, too.
"Feel free to talk with cats from other clans, Sagepaw. Just make sure to return to me and follow back our clan when the meeting ends, alright? Don't get lost in the crowd."
Crowspirit is reminding Sagepaw, and is open for conversation!
Duskflight isn't attending the Gathering. Hawkshriek is not attending the Gathering. Fennelkit is too young to attend the Gathering.

CICADAPAW - Cicadapaw had only been this far away from Mama once before. It was imbedded into her memory, if a little foggy, if she tried to remember further back she'd only get... red.. water? That memory did not seem very pleasant, and she preferred to believe that being away from Mama was the worst thing in the world. This time, though, being away from Mama didn't seem too bad, Mama said she was too sore to attend, and Cicadapaw didn't want poor Mama to be hurt just to be with her.
She was nervous to be on her own after she entered the clearing. Quietly, she made her way over to one of the Great Oaks and sat down in between the large roots. She stared up at the branches, the tree looked a little odd compared to the others, as if a giant thorn had cut it open and burnt it at the same time. Cicadapaw wondered what had happened to it, had it grown this way? Whatever it was, Cicadapaw was fascinated by it, and continued to stare up at the giant 'wound'.
Cicadapaw is open to talk to! But you might have to get her to stop looking at a tree, first

Snowfoot wasn’t planning on actually interacting tonight, but then again, she hadn’t planned on one of the beauties she was watching literally walking into her. The scent of RiverClan was a bit odd to her, but wide eyes and silky fur outweighed it. The other she-cat introduced herself, flustered, and some small part of Snowfoot breathed a sigh of relief. Her own awkwardness wouldn’t be so bad now. “Hi, um, I’m Snowfoot,” she mewed. “ShadowClan, though you can probably smell too. I don’t think I ever met a cat who couldn’t smell.” The she-cat chuckled nervously. Great. Of all the things she could’ve said, she said that? Okay, try again. “Um, beautiful night, isn’t it?”
Snowfoot is awkwardly conversing with Fawneye.

Rainpaw
Fourtrees
Rainpaw’s shoulders relaxed as a familiar, cheerful voice reached his ears, and Juniperpaw arrived at his side. He flicked his tail towards her in a tiny gesture of affection and greeting, eyes still scanning the clearing, before returning to his sister’s face. His displeased expression softened, even if his actual face didn’t change much.
“I guess so,” He said softly. Now that he thought about it, for all the time he had spent around the other clans by now, he’d never actually spoken to anyone from another clan. He resisted the urge to sigh. At some point or another, he would have to get over that. It wasn’t very warrior-like of him to sulk every gathering.
He paused, looked at his sister’s excited expression, and managed a slight, wry smile.“Would you like to introduce yourself to them now?” He asked, gesturing with his tail. “I can come with you. If you want.” He didn’t particularly want to speak to anyone, but he’d feel better if he was with Juniperpaw. He also didn’t want her to worry about him. He had a feeling she’d only come over here to check on him; he didn’t want to hold his sister back.

Though Perchstar tried her best to control her expression, she couldn't keep her ear from flicking in a combination of surprise, discomfort and exasperation as Mallardstep explained. A vision from the stars? Now? And one so singularly... unhelpful? What was the point of going to the Gathering as the code dictated if their ancestors were so determined to keep them in the dark? Still, with the worries about the Twolegs and fear of the ominous warning came a tiny spark of hope. She almost didn't dare to think about it. A chance to save her Clanmates? The return of the dogs and Twolegs would be taken in stride if there was even a ghost of a chance to return her Clan to camp safe and sound. Still, she didn't miss the looks that the other leaders were giving her. This was no time to speak of such things. "Meet me in my den after the Gathering concludes," she told Poppyshine. "We need to speak about this--but not now. The Code comes first. But once all the leaders have spoken, we will leave and discuss."
After nodding to her medicine cat and deputy, trying not to show how shaken the vision had left her, Perchstar returned to the Great Rock. The sooner this Gathering started, the better--and the sooner it was over, the quicker she could grill the tom for details on exactly what he meant. Seven days... seven days until what? Distracted by the new information, she hardly noticed the brief conversations between the other leaders, or the way that Birdstar was looking at her as if wishing to say something. There was far too much on her mind.
Perchstar has spoken with Poppyshine and Mallardstep, and is back with the other leaders.

Amberpaw could see it on the apprentice's face, in their eyes and their body language. She knew that Sparkpaw wanted to ask... but didn't. It was a pleasant surprise. If the apprentice was willing to move off of the subject and leave her unfortunate position alone, she was fine with that. Amberpaw visibly relaxed a bit. She tried to remind herself that not all apprentices were loud-mouthed idiots and try not to judge them prematurely. Then Sparkpaw questioned what Windclan did, sleeping out in the open.
"We do!" She said happily, finally allowing a small smile on her face. "It's not so bad once you're used to it. Besides, the only dens we could really use are dangerous to sleep in. The tunnels can collapse easily so they're avoided. Sleeping out in the open grass is much safer." She didn't know everything about Thunderclan, but she knew enough. Still, she appreciated the apprentice's efforts to be polite and she wasn't about to let it go unrewarded.
"I hear Thunderclan cats are pretty strong though. I bet you can out-muscle most of our apprentices already by now." She put a paw up and held it in an arc shape in the air. "Let's see! Put your paw pads over my paw pads. On the count of three, we pull in opposite directions and we see who stumbles first." It wouldn't matter if Sparkpaw wasn't as strong as she was (she was older after all). Amberpaw intended to let the Thunderclanner win if he couldn't do it on his own. It was harmless fun... and maybe an attempt to let the word spread around so that maybe a certain leader of Windclan would hopefully not be so freaking upset with her and let her go back to warrior duties again.

Mottlestar blinked. It seemed the medicine cats were all approaching their leaders which wasn't a good sign. It wasn't a good sign at all. A knot of dread, of pure fear was making itself known in her stomach, as it felt like her hopes for a calm gathering were being extinguished. Exchanging a brief worried glance with Birdstar, the tortoiseshell flicked her tail. "Give me just a moment, friends, I will return momentarily." She announced to the other leaders, trying her best to shake off her own concern as she lept down beside Thistlemask. Being the small tortoiseshell she was, it was rather easy to hop down and not accidentally end up leaping on top of another cat. Gesturing for the trio to step away from the main group of gathering cats, Mottlestar kept having to chase away her fears.
She sought out Perchstar for just a moment, hoping to catch a time they may be able to see if they'd received the same message, before giving her full attention to Fawnshine. "Is everything alright, Fawnshine? Did... StarClan send all of you a prophecy?" She asked. It may have just been coincidence that the Riverclan and Thunderclan medicine cats had sought out their leaders... but from the worried look on the other medicine cat's faces? It couldn't have been.

Crimsonpaw padded into Fourtrees. The smell of the Twolegs still lingered, and he couldn't help the feeling of terror that began to grow within him. He shoved it down, following behind Comfreyheart. He had missed the last gathering, not wanting to go to Fourtrees after what happened last time. But if he wanted to ever become a warrior, he would have to face his fears and continue to attend the Gatherings. As Crimsonpaw settled down he started to place his tail over his paws to hide his claws as usual, but stopped himself. He couldn't keep hiding. He'd already faced one fear today, why not another? Crimsonpaw took a deep breath. It's going to be okay, he told himself. Nothing was going to happen, and no one was going to attack him because of his claws. Even if they wanted too, the Gathering was supposed to be a peaceful meeting. To fight was against the code.
Crimsonpaw is staying near his mentor, Comfreyheart. He is open to conversation!

birchpaw
medicine cat apprentice of windclan
As Birchpaw set foot into the clearing with Batsong close on their heels, the world suddenly shifted. Cats in their field of vision melted away, and the sky started to alternate between night and day. It struck them that this was a vision from StarClan, so they began to count the days. It was around seven, if they counted correctly. A loud bark from a dog made their fur stand on end. It was accompanied by the chatter of Twolegs, more barking, and the rattling of the Twolegs' shiny stone traps. Eyes darting around wildly, something else caught their attention: cries for help.
There were cats somewhere, crying to them for help. And...it sounded like their missing Clanmates. This realization hit them like a rock, and as quickly as the vision came on, it was over, leaving Birchpaw reeling where they stood. Breathless, they turned to Batsong, their eyes wide. "Did you see that? We...We have to tell Shrikestar...!" They took off towards the Great Rock where the leaders already gathered. As they passed the other medicine cats, they looked as shocked as the apprentice felt, and they overheard Fawnshine calling to Mottlestar.
"Shrikestar!" Birchpaw hissed from the base of the rock. "I need to speak with you, urgently."

Sparkpaw ☆ ThunderClan
Tunnels? Sparkpaw thought, looking Amberpaw up and down.Is she messing with me? It was hard to tell, but Sparkpaw didn't think this WindClan cat was the sort to spread rumors about her own clan. That'd be like saying ThunderClan had a second Moonstone in their territory.
Sparkpaw narrowed her eyes in determination at Amberpaw's suggestion for a little friendly competition. "You're on," she said, hooking her paw around Amberpaw's. She was slightly smaller than the she-cat in front of her, but the ThunderClan cat had always been on the lighter side, which put her a lot closer in stature to WindClan than to the rest of her broad-shouldered clanmates. Maybe that will make this an even match, Sparkpaw thought.
"One...two..." Sparkpaw counted, digging her claws into the dirt. She could sense Amberpaw's determination, too. "Three!" Sparkpaw said, and pulled back as hard as she could.
Sparkpaw is talking to Amberpaw of WindClan.
Darkpaw is talking to Foxpaw of SkyClan.

"Let the gathering begin!" Nightstar called, stepping forth upon the great rock. While he may not be the oldest leader, Nightstar still found it in his best interest to start, despite being one of the younger leaders, except for Birdstar who had gotten her name last moon. "Shadowclan has seen a prosperous few moons, we welcome Moonpaw, Asterpaw, Cicadapaw, Tigerpaw, Cinderpaw, Batpaw, Badgerpaw, Tawnypaw, Snailpaw, and Sagepaw as apprentices of Shadowclan." Nightstar meowed, allowing for cats to congratulate and acknowledge the swarm of apprentices that had started their training.
"Shadowclan fairs well and strong, despite the challenges presented by two legs and their traps. " Giving the customary 'we are strong and healthy don't even THINK about bugging us' statement, Nightstar backed away and sat in his place, not giving much acknowledgment to the other leaders.

There was nothing Jaypaw hated more than cats who didn't know how to shut up. To his dismay, fourtrees was full of them. As he padded through the crowd, he only had one wish, and that was to take his ears off. It was like he could hear every conversation, they all managed to reach his ears. He should have just stayed home, this entire night is going to be a waste of his time.
He'd only been walking for a mere moment or two when a cat he'd just passed by yelled, and he instinctively flattened his ears. The sheer volume sent a shiver down his spine. Rage flaring up like a flame into a forest fire, he turned around, facing the apprentice with narrowed eyes. "Will you SHUT UP? There is no reason to be screaming like a dying bird! Were you raised by coyotes?" He didn't yet realize the irony of that statement. "Nobody's going to want to talk to you if you yell like that. Stars, my life would be much better if you'd have just kept your trap shut. Consider doing that more in the future. You might actually find some friends." He spat.
Jaypaw has yelled at Rosepaw of Thunderclan.
Smallbean will not be attending. Astershine will not be attending.
