July Gathering 2015

Sunpelt purred. "Hello, Silkpaw. Don't be frightened. Fennelcloud, this is Silkpaw. This is your first Gathering, right?" he asked the apprentice. Then he mewed to Mousepaw, "Good evening, Mousepaw. I'm Sunpelt of ThunderClan."  He sighed with amusement as Cloverpaw and Fawnpaw came over. "Well, this is a very large group," he purred. He gave Cloverpaw's ear a brisk lick, and gave Fawnpaw a nod. He didn't want Fennelcloud to realize he and Cloverpaw were mates. "Cloverpaw, Fawnpaw, this is Fennelcloud," he mewed, flicking his tail at the ShadowClan she-cat. "And this is Mousepaw."  He gestured at the blind RiverClan apprentice. "Silkpaw is here too," he added, resting his tail on the apprentice's shoulder before curling it around his paws.

Creampaw padded after Salmonpaw, and stopped to sit next to Larchleap. She was daunted at all the cats that were there, and she pressed close to her mentor. "Larchleap, who can I talk to?" she whispered, fright overwhelming her curiosity thoroughly.

Flamestripe padded into the clearing after Duskfall. Though he had gone to Gatherings many times, he still felt in awe at how many cats there were. Shaking himself, he bounded into the midst of cats, moving around all the little groups to find someone to talk to. He saw Larchleap sitting with a RiverClan apprentice, and hurried to that side of the clearing.

He dipped his head to the RiverClan tom and mewed coolly, "Good evening, Larchleap. How is the prey running in RiverClan?" Flamestripe was still a bit wary around RiverClan cats, as of the incident with the RiverClan she-cat, Specklestream. He was completely loyal to ThunderClan now, and wanted to make sure RiverClan cats understood that.

"Have a nice night, Silkpaw!" he called after her. "So, Mousepaw, do you enjoy being an apprentice?" he asked the blind RiverClan cat. He wondered if it was hard to be blind while being an apprentice, but didn't want to offend the apprentice by asking directly.

Sunpelt dipped his head at the RiverClan cat. "I'm Sunpelt of ThunderClan. Good evening. I was just asking Mousepaw how he liked training," he explained coolly, though he was angry that this apprentice was talking as though he were not there. He had to keep himself from snarling at her not to talk like that in front of a warrior. "May you introduce yourself?" Sunpelt asked, still keeping his cool.
