December Gathering 2015

The icy grounds crackle and crunch underfoot as a layer of snow coats all around for miles unending. There is silence in the clearing, save for the occasional growl of distant monsters and the tinkling of snow about to fall from bare branches. It is Full Moon once again, and StarClan awaits its five clans to gather beneath the ancient oaks for another gathering.

Spottedstar looked down at the clearing, seeing their clan was again first to arrive. Signaling with her tail, she charged down the slope and scaled the Highrock. This time, there was no deputy yet to take the spot beneath her.

Nightfire came down the slope, taking a spot near where the Medicine Cats usually stayed.

Oliveheart followed his sister, whom was getting bigger in her stomach. She wasn't saying anything, but he was pretty sure that she was pregnant.

Frozenflame fallowed right behind his leader into the clearing. He found a good spot in the center of the clearing and got to work on cleaning snow out of his paws and fur to pass time.

Blackpaw followed his mentor to the gathering, head held high. Despite his fading grief for his sister, he was pretty happy and excited. He sat down somewhere around the middle and wondered if Firepaw was there.

Stormpaw followed closely behind Frozenflame. He wondered if he would see any other cats here.

With RiverClan in her wake, Fishstar entered the clearing, her fur fluffed up in protest to the cold. She hadn't even felt like coming to the Gathering tonight, considering how positively miserable Leafbare made her. It didn't help that she would have to deal with Falconstar and Spottedstar, either. There were just too many things that she felt she needed to say to them. It was almost overwhelming. And because she knew nothing good ever came out of arguing at a Gathering, she would have to bite her tongue, to some extent. Perhaps arguing isn't even even necessary, anyways. Every SkyClan, ShadowClan, and RiverClan cat was already fully aware of what fox-hearted dung WindClan and ThunderClan had become, anyways.

Not bothering to so much as look at Spottedstar, as per usual, Fishstar leapt up onto the Great Rock and seated herself.

Cloverpool padded in the clearing. She had recently just returned from being taken by Twolegs and she was glad to be back, even if it meant that all her kits except one died as well as her mate. She glanced at the cream she cat next to her, and smiled it was her sisters first ever time at a gathering, even though she was as old as Cloverpool. Her sister had returned with her back to Thunderclan and Cloverpool was more than happy.

Cucumberpaw clung to her sister like a baby possum clings to its mother. Her pale blue eyes scanned the clearing and when Cloverpool sat next to a Gray and ginger warrior she sat next to her sister and looked around mesmerized.

Heronpaw and Patchpaw, nearly inseparable friends, padded into the gathering. The two took seats towards the front as per usual, whilst Fallenblaze took the back. The tom was in full-content- he was a warrior, he had a flourishing supply of prey coming from the river from ice-fishing (his talent) and had a she-cat who he was very good friends with- Featherpaw. Though the rest of his family was downright depressed, he was fine and upbeat. Even his father seemed mopey- his sister seemed okay, but who knew where his brother was.

He took to the middle, chatting with some randoms from Thunderclan and his clan, Riverclan.

Dreampaw followed Nightfire slowly, looking around at the gathering cats. She kept a small distance from Nightfire but close enough to talk to the other medicine cats.

Bluesong ran in after Spottedstar. Her fur was quickly groomed down but not to her liking. The gray-blue she-cat settled down and began to groom her fur.

Firepaw trotted into the Gathering, following her clan closely. She caught sight of Blackpaw and with a smile she slipped away to go see him.

Swiftpaw walked over into the clearing. She sat down and licked a paw. She looked around for Nightpaw. The two loved each other for StarClan knows what. She looked over to see black fur approaching.

Nightpaw walked over to Swiftpaw and sat down. The reason he loves her is because she saved him from drowning in a pool in Fourtrees.

Wisteriapaw padded after Fishstar with a sense of anxiety. She was a full grown cat, but her illness and predicament with her mentor had prevented her from ever coming to a Gathering. Eyes scanning, she searched for Dawnpaw; her friend. However, it looked like ShadowClan was not here yet. Next, she looked for Acornheather and her new apprentice, not finding them there either. It has been hard on Wisteriapaw to have Acornheather in her perfect den, but she had to admit that Acornheather has taught her everything she needed, and even helped to find fresh herbs. With a sigh, she settled down in the shadows, waiting.

Dreampaw looked over and saw the Riverclan Medicine Cat, Wisteriapaw. She got up and trotted over to her.
"Hi," Dreampaw said with a cocked head.

Wisteriapaw cocked her head, eyeing the younger cat. "Hello." she scented the she-cat, tasting her scent. "ThunderClan." she murmured, shifting on her paws. "I'm Wisteriapaw, the RiverClan medicine cat." she said emotionless.

"Dreampaw, Thunderclan Medicine Cat Apprentice," Dreampaw said with a hint of nervousness. She sat down and looked at the clearing that was quickly filling with cats.

A lame Thunderclan warrior hopped steadily after her clan, no longer self-conscious enough about her leg to prevent her from attending. She looked around for her apprentice, Lilacpaw, but didn't see her. 'She's always having these negative thoughts about our own clan. Maybe if she came I could put some sense into her.' Darkflight found her usual place in the clearing and began cleaning off the dirt and grime that had collected on her limp leg from their trip to Fourtrees.


He hadn't been feeling like himself lately, Ashcloud. The mysterious death of his son and the disappearance of a few of his kits was enough to depress the old tomcat. Still, he wanted to be there for his kits' first Gathering.

Fogpaw had her father's tail in her mouth, who was leading her along. Her tufted ears twisted this way and that to listen to the other cats. A strange and disgusting scent came to her tongue and she bit down on Ashcloud's white tail. "What is that smell?" the blind apprentice spat, her grey blur for a tail lashing in distaste.

The father winced slightly and purred to her, "That's Thunderclan, dear."

She frowned and muttered. "They smell more like Dungclan."

"Don't be rude." He nudged her shoulder while she huffed and plopped down beside him.
