November Gathering 2015

The air smelt of rich earth and life, the winter rains melting snow which defrosted the earth a tiny bit. The trees remained barren however, the great oaks looming over the moonlit clearing where the five clans would gather again.

Spottedstar bounded into the clearing, being the first ones to arrive.

Nightfire, Oliveheart, and Echostrike came along.

Cobrapaw followed quickly after her clanmates. She flicked her tail quietly containing her excitement she looked around noticing none of the others clans were there yet and she sat down quietly.

Dreampaw bounded after Nightfire, trying to keep pace with the bigger cat. She tripped once on their way here but finally they had made it. First ones!

Bluesong followed Spottedstar into the clearing. She had lagged behind the group a bit but had finally made her way back into the group.

After much training, Darkpaw now kept up with the other cats with ease. The deep brown she-cat went down the slope as if she wasn't hindered by a dead leg at all, tail up in a half-arch behind her. She knew she should've been a warrior by now, but the leg had held her back, keeping her a -paw. Settling down, Darkpaw wrapped her fluffy tail around herself, making sure to cover the useless appendage, and waited for more cats to file into the clearing.

Swiftpaw ran into Fourtrees. She looked around for Nightpaw.

Nightpaw walked over to Swiftpaw and touched noses with her.

Snowpaw ran into the clearing. She was super excited.

Ravenpaw slowly waddled behind Bluesong. It was nearly silent; with the soft chatter of cats ruining the silence slightly. The moon loomed overhead as if finding its place in Silverpelt. It cast a dim glow which wasn't completely nessascary since cats could see fine in the dark. "This is so cool," He murmured only loud enough for himself to hear. He wondered if he could possibly earn himself some new friends... One's that stayed loyal to him. And the warrior code. The thing that he didn't yearn for, however, is to madly fall in love and create a cross-clan relationship. For now he would stick to Heatherpaw.

The chilly Leafbare breezes was no match for his inner thoughts, though normally it would warp him back into the actual moments. "Oh, what? Huh? What happened? Did I miss something?"

He stumbled around like a fawn bewildered from a rushing river. How embarrassed he was! Once pairs of eyes were locked on him, he buried his head into his gleaming black fur, sheilding his face from the eyeballs.

Minnowtail padded beside her apprentice. When he looked embarrassed she smiled and gave him a comforting lick on the ear. "Come one Ravenpaw let's go and sit down." The silver tabby purred.

Midnightpaw came in after her mother and Ravenpaw. She sat down next to her mother and her apprentice.

Smokepaw padded I to the clearing. He sat down by his "Aunt" and "Cousin" Minnowtail and Midnightpaw.

Bluesong pulled into the clearing with a high chin. She saw Smokepaw, Midnightpaw and Minnowtail. She slipped over to them and sat down.

Robinflight followed after her siblings, leaning some into Nightfire's side. She'd always adored her big brother, but now she stuck especially close to him because he knew of her odd medical condition and she didn't want anyone else to know. She was also somewhat bitter towards her littermates, Echostrike and Oliveheart, because their apprentices were nearing their warrior ceremonies while her own had been killed in the camp rockfall. She just tucked into the large tom's side, wishing for once that she had been left behind at camp.

Hollyberry padded into the clearing after her Clan, bones aching painfully with each and every tiny movement. With old age creeping up on her like a warrior stalking a mouse, pain was quick to settle in anywhere possible. The warrior let out a huff as she settled down in a wet and muddy hollow. Flicking her tail impatiently, Hollyberry waited for all of the leaders.

Batwing padded forward briskly with long legs, scenting the air for other Clans. "We're alone," he muttered, keeping his head forward and shoulders straight and tall. The black tom's ears and tail-tip twitched as he saw his mother all alone. He broke his orderly pace and rushed down the hill, muscles rippling and eyes fixed on the elderly black she-cat. "Mother, you shouldn't be here! What about your health?" Batwing murmured into her ear, concern coating his blue eyes.

The old she-cat tipped her head to fix her son with a piercing but kind gaze. "I'm fine! I've still got a bit left in me," she snapped, though her tone was soft. A mrrow of amusement rippled from her throat, and her thick whiskers twitched a tiny bit. Seeing this, Batwing managed a smile, settling down beside her and trying to warm her up.

Sweetsong spotted two black shapes curled up next to one another, and recognized her aunt's raggedy form. Much like her uncle, she took off down the slope and settled on the other side of Hollyberry. If one had been looking at them from on top of the slope, they would have seen a black blur with red spots at one end.

Nightfire sat a little ways away from the normal Medicine Cat spot, seeing Robinflight beside him. He hissed at Dreampaw bounding after him, almost grazing him. Stupid apprentice. He leaned into Robinflight, knowing not to tell anyone of her 'illness' and just to be there for her.

Dreampaw froze then spun around on cue of Nightfire's hiss. She shrugged but slipped away warily.
