July Gathering 2015

It was weird to see a Thunderclan cat approach her, so when Sunpelt walked up to Fennelcloud, she was strongly taken aback. "I, uh... Shadowclan is good," she responded before the Thunderclan tom urned away and began talking to someone else. Well okay then. 

When Fishstar finally arrived, Thrushstar let out a big sigh of relief. Finally everyone was here. It took them long enough. As the four leaders and the deputy gathered on the rock, he waited for someone to step forward and when no one did, he took appropriate action. Stepping forward, the tom yowled to get the cats' attention below to start the gathering. "Shadowclan has been fairing well. Prey has been abundant as newleaf turns to greenleaf and Starclan has blessed us with many new kits and apprentices who have been training diligently to become the best warriors they can. Thankfully, this moon, we have been blessed that everyone is still with us and prospering. On the unfortunate side, just a few nights ago, there have been dog sightings and trails through Shadowclan. I say this to warn the other clans in case the pack decides to venture out of Twolegplace again. I say this primarily for Skyclan and Thunderclan's sake," the leader said, looking back at Breezestar and Duskfall. "but they could be anywhere." Finally, Thrushstar stepped back for the other leaders to speak.

OOC: @Blaze: We know. So what? Some people are busier than others and don't have time to post a lot like others.

Wolftrot was flattered by her words. "Oh, well, you're welcome! You were a great apprentice, and I enjoyed training and spending time with you."
The tom also had deeper feelings for her that were stronger than a mentor/apprentice bond, but he knew he wasn't the right cat for her. Icepaw was closer by age, therefore, most likely better for her.
Whatever the case, he mentally shrugged it off and flicked her ears with his tail playfully.

Cobaltfire watched Fawnpaw move to leave. She didn't say anything, but mentally nodded. If Fawnpaw needed alone time, the blue-gray she-cat would let her be.

Lavenderwish watched Fishstar and RiverClan enter the clearing, and the former jump up onto the Great Rock. It seemed that the meeting would start soon.

Scarletfrost entered the meeting late as well. She glanced around for a cat to sit with and saw Fawnspirit sitting at the base of the Great Rock. She approached the fawn-colored she-cat and approached her.
"May I sit with you?" she called out quietly, as to not startle the other cat.

Fawnspirit turned to face the ShadowClan she-cat, Scarletfrost, when she was spoken to. She was asking if they could sit together.
"Of course!" she answered, beckoning the red she-cat over.
Scarletfrost sat beside her with a thump, and turned her attention towards the leaders.

"Thank you, Thrushstar for your warning. We will keep that in mind." The tom spoke, acknowledging the leader's warning. A threat of a dog was a serious concern, so he noted it down mentally.

"As you all would be aware, there was a fire recently in the forests. Thankfully most of our clan escaped with minor burns, but the raging fires claimed the lives two apprentices, Firepaw and Goldenpaw. It was a tragic loss, but Thunderclan still remains united and stronger than ever. We even believe in a moons time we will be able to return to camp." Duskfall spoke rather stoically, pushing past any linger grief he felt for the loss of the apprentices. He channelled that into projecting strength as it was undeniable that until Thunderclan could return to the shelter of the forest, they were vulnerable. It was for the best not cat decided now was the time to strike at them. "Starclan has also blessed us with many new kits, and fine apprentices. Some apprentices have even made warrior, Flamestripe, Frostsnap, Soaringwing and Sunpelt. There have been many hardships and losses these few moons, but Thunderclan is thriving and ready to protect ourselves from any and all threats."

When he finished, Duskfall stepped back beside Thrushstar so another leader could speak.

Ashwing smiled at Wolftrot, and turned the rest of her attention towards the leaders speaking.

Tansypaw listened with interest to the fact that dogs were near ThunderClan and SkyClan. She honestly couldn't have cared less if anything happened to ThunderClan, but hoped that they defeated the dogs so that they didn't go towards RiverClan.

Turtlepaw was anxious at the news and at the warning that Thrushstar gave. Hopefully, the dogs weren't close to ThunderClan. She wished that the dogs would go bother RiverClan instead. Couldn't ShadowClan have just killed the dogs which were their problem in the first place?

After the others left him Icepaw saw his mother give him a sweet but serious look and he just looked at the ground sadly. He tried to make new friends, but they would strangely leave him looking mad. Was is something I said? He shook his head. Hmph. At least I was trying to be nice... he thought bitterly to himself. After a few moments he saw Ashwing and his spirits were lifted. Should I go chat with her? No, she is talking to Wolftrot and besides, would it look weird for a apprentice to have feelings so strong for a warrior?He decided to stay were was and stare at the ground. So far the gathering had been pretty interesting, but had Icepaw in an awkward mood.

Lightningpaw ran into the gathering. She had stayed behind and gotten lost. "Woah...." She said as she joined riverclan.
She remembered she had heard voices sharing clan new as as she approached and realized it was telling clan leaders. I hope no one realized I was late... She thought

Fishstar stepped forward after Duskfall at seated herself at the edge of the rock. She knew that a forest fire was a terrible occurrence, but the silver she-cat could say she felt very sympathetic towards ThunderClan.. Pitiful, yes, but not sympathetic. "RiverClan has been faring quite well as of late. Prey has been plentiful, and our dens have been woven back together and fully restored." She glowered briefly down at the ThunderClan cats, but said no more on the matter. "We've had an abundance of new kits, plenty of apprentices and a handful of new warriors. Sablepaw, Roaringpaw, Salmonpaw, Willowpaw, Creampaw and Dewpaw have been named apprentices since the last Gathering. Larchleap, Condorclaw, and Specklestream have been elevated to the rank of warrior. We have also been blessed by Ashcloud and Mistfeather with eight new, healthy additions to our Clan." With a sweep of her tail, Fishstar rose and reclaimed her former spot.


Palegaze, whom had been watching silently from within the group of ThunderClan warriors, looked away and focused on his paws as the RiverClan leader brought up Mistfeather. A bout of guilt and jealously struck him like a thorn, and made his fur prickle. Those kits have the tainted blood of code-breakers, he thought bitterly. A ThunderClan warrior, fiercely loyal to his Clan, and the RiverClan deputy.. The leader's most trusted cat. It was so ironic that it was almost funny. Nonetheless, Palegaze couldn't help but feel fiercely jealous, as well. Those kits were his, not this... Ashcloud's. The thought of the cat he'd grown to love running off with another was infuriating. We brought this upon ourselves, came the silent reminder. We were foolish to think this could work out.

Creampaw sat up straight as her name was mentioned in the list of new apprentices.

I wonder if I'll be listed as a new apprentice? Even though I have been one for a while... Icepaw thought to himself, sitting alone and gazing at the RiverClan leader, expressionless.

Lightningpaw padded over to Icepaw.

"This is so cool!" She said "this is my first gathering."

Icepaw saw the other apprentice come over to him and tried to look more happy than he was. "I know! There are so many cats here, it's kindof overwhelming"

After Fishstar stepped back, Falconstar stepped forward to speak. "WindClan has continued to prosper this moon. We are blessed with good health and bountiful prey. That's all to report from the moors." Falconstar stepped back after his quick message.

Condorclaw, meanwhile, beamed with pride when his name was called out. Nobody in the other clans would have known who he was, but it still felt good to get some recognition. If the clans didn't care much for each other though, why did they continue to meet under the full moon for peace? They weren't very peaceful the rest of the time.

Well, I guess we have no new apprentices...Why does Falconstar always seem to never give much detail? Icepaw wondered to himself.

Ashwing was a little disappointed that there was no mention of the three new warriors, but was almost glad that Falconstar seemed almost as terse as she was. After the last Gathering, the leaders seemed to be waiting for more conflict to emerge, as if they were trying to avoid some crow-food that was buried anywhere near them.
