January Gathering 2015

OOC: First of the new year! :D

IC: The starts twinkled bright and cold in a clear night sky, with the full moon shedding a silvery light on the snowy clearing. Every pawstep was a crunch in the snow, and every breath billowed out in a frosty cloud. There wasn't any stealth here, and you could hear the marching of the Clan cats from a long ways off as they all converged toward Fourtrees and the Great Rock.

Looking down at the clearing, Thrushstar was honestly quite surprised that Shadowclan was the first to arrive. Usually they were one of the last since they had to take such a difficult journey squeezing through the tunnels or, if Thunderclan were feeling super annoying, actually crossing the Thunderpath just to get to Fourtrees. Oh well. It's not like the order changed anything, and it didnt' really help that the number of Shadowclan was lacking. It honestly worried Thrushstar a little bit, but he couldn't help it. Maybe Starclan had plans for them. Signaling to his clan, he padded into the clearing and leaped onto the Great rock, looking down at his clan who followed him in. "A little strange to be the only ones here," he muttered to basically anyone who was listening.

Fennelcloud followed her father into the clearing, looking around at all of the space that they had to sit since no one else was there yet, although she could slightly see the shapes in the distance appearing on this clear night. She was thankful that Starclan gleamed down upon them with such a bright night even if it was freezing her tail off.

Breezestar totally led his clan in like a baws, brushing past ShadowClan and leaping up onto the Great Rock. With a smile, he gave a sharp nod to SkyClan, a signal to go around and make themselves comfortable. The night was chilly enough as it was. Hopefully, they could get through with this quickly. "Thrushstar." The tom meowed.

Following Fennelcloud into the clearing, Scorchclaw emerged from the bushes lining Fourtrees. His fiery eyes immediately flicked around to scan the area, and he was surprised to see that ShadowClan and SkyClan were the first to arrive. With a flick of his tail he headed over to a mossy patch on the ground at the side of the hollow, where he rested his haunches and wrapped his long banner around his paws in an attempt to keep them warm.

BlackClaw followed ThrushStar to the clearing and then looked around. 'We're actually first. That's a change.' He sat down and watched SkyClan enter. Like themselves they were a small clan.

ShadowWhisper gracefully stepped into the clearing and stopped on the side to inhale the perfect scent of nature. It was good to get out of the ShadowClan territory for a short time. Her eyes rested on the full moon and she purred with her eyes closed. The sound of the trees caused her to quickly open her eyes. Quickly, she walked to the middle of the clearing like nothing happened because if the fact she forgot that she wasn't the only one at the gathering. Silly me, she chuckled in her head before she sat down and glanced at the her leader and Skyclan's leader.

Darkpaw followed Thrushstar to the gathering place. He was lucky- it was his second gathering already! He looked around. Another good thing- Shadowclan was first. Breezestar led in Skyclan next, and he watched happily as cats from his clan said their, 'wow, we're first''s sitting down near the front, he waited for the other clans to arrive.

Third to arrive were WindClan, as Falconstar signaled his warriors to move in with a flick of his tail. The proud old leader still moved well without betraying his age, effortlessly reaching the top of the Tallrock and nodding once to the leaders of ShadowClan and SkyClan, though there was no small talk between them.

Meanwhile, Eaglethorn sat as usual with a couple other WindClan warriors, farther away from where those of the other clans gathered. It seemed like it had been moons since the clans even cared about the scourge of rogues and half-bloods infiltrating their ranks, but now they were lax, genial... not even caring about the tainting of their blood. Despicable.

Emerging from the frost-rimmed bushes lining Fourtrees was Thornclaw, weaving through the cats who rested their hind-quarters upon the cold hard ground. At the foot of the Great Rock, he turned to face the direction in which he came and sat, casting his deep green gaze over the cat-filled clearing. Noticing that WindClan was the third to arrive, the deputy twitched his whiskers and flicked his tail neatly over his front-paws.

Honeydrop and Sunpaw followed Falconstar, the two cats heads high. Sunpaw was excited for this- it would be his first gathering! Honeydrop was glad the weather was warming up and was eager to hear what the other clans had to say. Taking her place near Eaglethorn, she waited for the other clans to come. Sunpaw sat near the great rock, but near no cat in particular.

CloudPatches walked along FalconStar's side and said. "Seems like ThunderClan and RiverClan are late." He then took his spot beneath the Great Rock with the other medicine cats. He turned to SunPaw. "Are you excited?"

Sunpaw nodded. He looked at the other medicine cat apprentices, wondering how long they'd been training for.

Padding in behind Breezestar were two of the few warriors that still were in the clan. Nightfoot wore her typical aggravated face, looking at the other clan cats with a sense of disgust. She hated being around them even if they were at a peaceful gathering. Who knew when everyone would break and go ballistic trying to get rid of Skyclan again.

On the other hand, Featherheart was just indifferent about the whole thing. She really didn't see a whole lot of sense in gathering like they did, but Skyclan was taught that this was just how things went. She really didn't know why, and the only one that could really answer that was Silentstar, Starlcan rest her soul. Yet, the old she-cat came anyway. After all, it was a little amusing listening to all of the different ways that the leaders could come up with excuses for why their clan might be doing well or terribly.

"Greetings, Breezestar," the Shadowclan leader nodded in the Skyclan leader's direction, showing at least a small bit of respect to the cat that had to take over for a clan that was still a baby from their short time back into the forest. He was honestly impressed with how long and how well they've been able to stick it out, especially since they were once already driven out of their land. No matter. He had no quarrels with them. He didn't see a reason for them to leave again, just as he didn't in the past. Although, when Falconstar appeared with Windclan, Thrushstar gave him a curt look before looking back at the cats below. "Falconstar," he meowed simply with almost no emotion to his words other than a tiny hint of dislike and distrust.

As she shook the snow from her pelt, Spottedstar charged down the slope with her clan, possibly spraying other cats in the face with snow. She huffed a foggy breath and grunted as she lept onto the Great Rock. She simply nodded in greeting to the other leaders.

(Did type out great post but my computer randomly shut down and now its gone. So bam)

Flameclaw followed behind her leader, being careful in the snow, but she didn't hesitate to spray it on other when she came skidding to a halt, just before the great rock. The orange warrior held her head high, and took her place where the deputies usually sit.

Silverfang, and Feathertail bother followed shortly after Falconstar, the mother daughter duo who were normally gray of some form, where now almost white because of the snow, but the two didn't seem to mind. The made there way among the other warriors, and sat among them.
