Crookedpaw did not need to be urged a second time. He darted out of the cage and nearly ran into a large grey tom who smelled of RiverClan. He seemed to be helping the cat in the trap beside Crookedpaw’s, but he did not stick around to see who was inside. He started racing down the path to jump down but stopped short and turned. He saw A couple familiar faces in some adjacent cages. Minksplash was being aided by the cat who had freed Crookedpaw as well as some ThunderClan cat. Another was the other sibling of Rowanpaw’s, whose name Crookedpaw did not catch. But he could not leave cats to the same fate he almost had.
He hurried up to the RiverClan tom’s cage. He offered a thin smile before he began messing with the mechanism and trying to remember what he had seen Stoneheart do to free him just moments ago. Thankfully he had sharp eyes and was able to get the cage unlatched in only seconds. He pulled the door open, sparing Sootspirit only a glance. “Hurry. You can get home with your family,” he breathed before he quickly hurried on to the next cage without another glance.
Sootspirit has been freed!
Iceheart
Iceheart was fairly certainh, that Honeylight was the only cat of their clan that had been trapped here, but she would not leave other cats to a similar fate. While she heard fighting raging behind her, she hoped that would distract some twolegs enough to buy her time. She found some SkyClan cat trapped in one cage and she did not bother with chatter, instead going to try and unlock the cage in the same way she had for Honeylight. Unfortunately, just as before, the mechanism proved to be difficult for her to use. Iceheart hissed, “Foxdung,” under her breath. She would have to try again.
Iceheart attempted to free Deerbounce, but was unsuccessful.

She glued herself to the back of the dark cage. Her small curled form faced the wall. She tucked her ears in, shut her eyes tight, and prayed for it all to go away. Her one desperate wish at this moment and every moment thereafter was to simply block it all out. Shut down her senses and fall into herself. Let her fear and panic eat her up and spit her back out into a quiet void at the back of her cage. Even though the door was open, her sandy sides only heaved in response.
Her ears twitched at Sprucebark’s voice, then her eyes fluttered open with his brief but vital touch. Just follow him, she said, just follow him. And so she did, albeit her steps very shakey. Her emerald eyes shot around the battlefield. Oh Stars above did she just want to run back into her cage and hide. All the sounds were too much to think about anymore. Shutting her sight once again, pinning her ears, and twinning her tail with his, she anxiously waited for him to lead her away.

How dare this rat-brained dog make such a horrid mistake- attacking Windclan’s leader. No upstanding warrior could let that obscene behavior slide. Nor could they let an apprentice take on a full dog just by themself. Weaselfoot dashed to their aid and quickly swung at the hound’s shoulder. “Hey! Focus on me fleabag!”

Sepia eyes shined back to the Shadowclan warrior. “Thank you!” a brown and gold tabby purred, “You’re very kind.” She curiously watched Iceheart try to unlock the cage, her eyes wide and pupils full like a kitten fascinated by a bug. Perhaps this cat had been in the twoleg den for just a bit too long. “You’ve got this!” she offered sweetly when her savior at first failed. The bob-tailed molly glanced back to the chaos behind Iceheart. “Be careful though- Don’t let something catch you. I’m safe in here, you aren’t. Besides, there are cats who need their freedom more than me.” She uttered each word as earnestly as a cat could. She realized was not a priority, and hoped they did too.

Beechfang surveyed the battlefield in silence, tail twitching once with agitation. Dogs... She hated dogs. She could still remember her first encounter with them in twolegplace all those seasons ago, when she and Dawnpaw had been apprentices, and her parents only young warriors. They were dangerous foes, and the sooner dealt with, the better. Without another word she darted toward the closest one to her, which was already being swarmed by a few cats, it seemed. She recognized the Thunderclan leader and Starlingflare among them, and while she would have preferred to fight alongside her own former clanmates, taking out the dogs quickly would free up the cats fighting it to help others. And this dog had been the closest to her. Had she seen Birdstar fighting a ways off, she would have ignored this one and gone to her instead.
She slashed at the dog with claws fully extended, and as the beast yelped and moved, her lips twisted into a sneer upon recognizing Perchstar's gray and white form among the cats fighting the creature. A shame she hadn't seen her first but... The dogs were dogs. They were all temporarily allies here.
Beechfang used Front Paw Strike on Dog #3 for -7 sp, dealing -10 damage.

With a soft hiss, Stoneheart pawed at the mechanism of the twoleg cage again. This cat was Riverclan, but still deserved to be as free as the rest of them. The latch finally gave under her nervous paws, and she hissed at the cat that had been held within. "Go!"
Stoneheart is attempting to free Minksplash, attempt successful!

Murkyripple stepped to the side to allow the other cat a go at the cage, giving them a dip of her head. They seemed to have it instead, and that was a much better prospect. Though, her gaze studied the lock rather intently, watching at how they opened it. It was the knowledge they'd take with them as they moved to go to another Riverclanner's cage, one not too far away. This cat smelled almost the exact same as the last, and she offered the tom a dip of her head. "C'mon, you aren't staying stuck."
Her studying had done her good, as soon enough, the lock popped free. Nudging her head towards freedom, she let the tom pass. "Let's go. There's more to be freed."
Murkyripple is attempting to free Hawkshriek! - Success!
As much as her chest was pounding with the cats attempting to break the lock, the she-cat was more than thankful the moment the cage burst open. "Thank you." She stated quickly, having no hesitation about practically leaping out of the vessel. Oh, how it was nice to be in Fourtrees... but there was more work to be done. The russet molly used the commotion as a shelter as she did her best to sleek along the crowd, before a familiar face met her gaze. It was her brother! She had to get him out. Leaping up, Minksplash had no other thoughts than breaking her brother free. "Come on..."
But it seemed her frazzled mind from moments prior wasn't enough. The molly's claws struggled getting grip, and she continued to fight at the cage as best as she could.
Minksplash is attempting to free Rowanpaw! - Failure!

As the battle raged around her, Coyotegrin attempted once more to undo the lock. Finally, she was able to open the cage with all her jaw strength and by thrashing her head back. The door flew open and she stumbled back before regaining her balance. This cat was free. Giving her a nod, she turned to the next cage open and began attempting to free another stranger (Harebounce). The faster everyone was free, the faster everyone could leave and return home. Hopefully this would be the end.
Coyotegrin freed Beetleshade and will attempt to free Harebounce on the next turn.

Sablestrike braced himself for the sharp teeth that reached out to grab him. Shock filled the warrior as he was pushed out of the way of the dog's attack, a clanmate taking his place in the beast's jaws before getting discarded. "Forestbreeze!" He wanted to make sure his clanmate was fine, but they were in the middle of a battle. Sablestrike couldn't spare enough time to look away from his opponent, they would just have to finish this mutt quickly. Sablestrike leapt at the dog, sinking his claws into the beast's side.
Sablestrike used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 HP and costing 7 SP

Crookedpaw scrambled to another cage to come face-to-face with another familiar face from the twoleg nest. “Hello,” he mewed to Poppy before he began fiddling with the cage door. He knew that she was not a clan cat, but that did not meant that she deserved to be trapped in this twoleg place forever. He hoped that wherever she went after this, she would be able to find some place that made her happy. It only took a minute for him to get it unlatched. Spending so much time in the twoleg nest had made him almost accustomed to their mechanics. He looked at her and meowed, "Please get out of here before any twolegs catch you. Good luck." He then hurried along to another cage. Almost everyone was out..!

Iceheart spared a brief glance at the SkyClan warrior before looking back at the mechanism. “I’m sure the other cats appreciate your martyrdom, but it really does not help anyone. The sooner I get you out, then we can work to get two cats out at once.” She latched her claw onto the mechanism a second time and tried to pull. Her claw twisted and snapped out of the mechanism and she hissed another curse at the blasted trap.
Iceheart is attempting to rescue Deerbounce! Unsuccessful!

Stormdance answered the most pressing of Rowanpaw’s questions first. “You’re going home.” He promised. He would make sure of it. There would be time for Rowanpaw’s other questions in a moment, for now, he just needed to make sure Rowanpaw got out. Minksplash leapt up beside Stormdance and he gave her a breathless smile, overjoyed to see more of his clanmates free and safe.
As she struggled with the lock, Stormdance leaned down to assist. He tried the same strategy that worked with Sprucebark, biting down on the lock and tugging hard. Sure enough, the lock gave way and Stormdance was quick to pull the door the rest of the way open. "There!"
Stormdance attempted to free Rowanpaw, and succeeded! Rowanpaw is now free!
