❖ Forestbreeze'sbreath hitched when he laid his eyes on what had become of Fourtrees. He had been one of the warriors chosen to investigate the meaning of Burdockroot's prophesy. His anxiety had been slightly pacified knowing that Iceheart had also been chosen. However, it was in full swing the moment he stepped into Fourtrees. It was infested with twolegs and their kits. There were dogs roaming about and he could see the missing clan cats as well as a few strangers trapped within twoleg traps. Dear Starclan! Anything and everything could go wrong! There were threats everywhere they turned. They all had to be extra careful. They couldn't risk getting snatched up or worse, getting mauled by the dogs. The situation was looking grimmer by the second... ღ
❖ Thegrey-and-white warrior steeled himself as he slunk around alongside his fellow warriors. He felt Iceheart's attention snap to a particular area and he quickly moved his focus. There! He wanted to weep as he saw Honeylight curled up within a twoleg trap. His son! He would be coming home! Iceheart wasted no time and rushed over and attempted to free the young tom. Forestbreeze was about to follow suit but dread stopped him in his tracks as he noticed a large, snarling mutt heading Iceheart's way. No! He needed to keep it away! He instantly leaped into action with a snarl of his own. "DON'T TOUCH THEM!" He managed to bowl over the canine using his weight and momentum. He needed to keep it focused on him. ღ
❖ Fromhis peripheral vision he saw Skyclan's leader engaging with another dog not too far from him. Good. They needed to distract as many as they could so the rest of them could focus on freeing the cats. "Iceheart!" he called out in a breathy voice. "I'll keep this dog distracted. Focus on freeing the others for now." He had to hold out until they can all regroup to fight the dogs together. Please Starclan, give him strength. He was in desperate need of some... ღ

Amberstone followed Shrikestar to Fourtrees, doing her best to just be good and do what she was told. She hated getting in trouble, she hated looking bad. But this??? The scene she arrived on completely freaked her out. Twolegs everywhere... and dogs... and... her clanmates? Other cats?
Amberstone froze, and her typically neutral expression was wide-eyed with fear and uncertainty. She was already taking steps back when Shrikestar called her by name to do a mission. Fan. Freaking. Tastic. She swallowed hard and gave a nod. She could at least find Smallbean... at least do that much.
She followed after Shrikestar with her belly low to the ground, her eyes scanning the cages for familiar faces. It took a moment, but she did manage to spot Smallbean. Amberstone picked up her pace to a trot once she saw an opening between the twolegs and the dogs and she immediately set her claws to work on the cages.
"Yo Smallbean! How are you doing?" She said nonchalantly, sounding far more confident than she felt. Honestly right now she felt like she was going to soil the ground beneath her paws. She forced herself to focus, making every attempt to free her clanmate.
[Rollin' to free the Smallest of Beans! It was a Success!]
Aaaand.... POP! The lock sprang open and Amberstone hooked her toes in the wire door to pull it open. At that moment, she felt... pretty good. A surge of confidence melted away her previous fears, if only for a moment. "You better get out while you can, Sunshine!" Oh she was full blown panicking now despite her happy demeanor. Never ever would she have been so faimilar with the medicine cat that she hardly knew. Sunshine??? She would fully accept whatever stinging nettle he wanted to rub into her next wound.

Locustcall
You're the pretender, what if I say I'll never surrender?
Locustcall wasn't sure what to expect, but twolegs were certainly high on his list. Their filth was everywhere during the gathering and was still littered around their territories. However, he did not think they would be here at such a scale. His eyes widened in shock when he and the rest of the Shadowclan patrol reached their meeting grounds, littered with twolegs, dogs, and their trash. His fur prickled, anger flashing behind his eyes. They had made their own territory dangerous to hunt in, stolen their clanmates, and now taken Fourtrees from them. What else did twolegs want to ruin?!
He swallowed his spite and continued onward, wary of the towering twolegs as he and other cats neared the caged cats. Even underneath the overpowering scent of twolegs, the scent of the forest and their true clan origins remained, though Locustcall could not identify his own by sight. Many cats in his clan were still strangers to him, having been born after his disappearance or being little more than passing acquaintances before. He didn't know who was missing from Shadowclan, but it looked like Iceheart had found one. He would leave the rest of the patrol to find their lost clanmates, he would make sure the dogs remained off their tails.
As soon as the thought crossed his mind, the snarls of a canine far too close for comfort caught his attention. A dog racing right toward his former apprentice. Another Shadowclan warrior was faster to act than he, but Locustcall was right behind him, his paws launching him at the mongrel. Teeth dug into its thick hide, his head shaking and pulling to tear flesh and fur. The tom beside him was not a cat he knew well, but it didn't matter. They shared a goal.
Locustcall used Snap, costing 7 SP and dealing 8 damage!

The snarls of dogs made Beechfang's ears flatten, and she aimed another blow at the cage holding Plumleaf again. Before her claws struck the cage however, the grasping paws of a twoleg pulled her away. "Oh get off of me you foxheart!" Beechfang whirled on it with a snarl and unsheathed claws and a speed she hadn't realized she still possessed. The twoleg let out a shocked cry, and if it had been expecting any other reaction from the big, scarred tabby, it truly was stupid. Beechfang struggled against the twoleg's grip furiously.
Beechfang is attempting to free Plumleaf again. Attempt interrupted by twoleg.

Stoneheart prowled among the twoleg contraptions, grimacing as two cats she didn't know but carried clan scent broke into fighting with one of the loose dogs. A shiver ran down her spine as she came face to face with another twoleg contraption. She aimed a paw at the mechanism, hoping desperately that the maneuver would work a second time. What she hadn't expected however, was the paws of a twoleg around her middle. Stoneheart let out a yowl of surprise, struggling to free herself from its' grasp.

Coyotegrin was hesitant when she was asked to go to Fourtrees. Her dull eyes looking at the ground as Shrikestar convinced her. With Amberstone, no less. The she-cat hadn't truly earned her trust back yet. As they entered the clearing, the chaos that hit her eyes matched the chaos going in her head. Instructions given, she tried instructing Amberstone on where to go but she was already off before she could even help formulate a plan. Taking a deep breath, she remembered her trial on the mountain top. Closing her eyes, she summoned her shadow self... To be ready... Anger started coursing through her veins, the barking of the dogs making her head pulse.
Making her way to the row of cats, she jumped up to the nearest one. She did not know the name of this cat, but it did not matter. Right now, it was cats against Twolegs. She tried using her paws to open the lock, but she couldn't get the movements down. Hissing in frustration, she moved to using her jaw.
Coyotegrin is trying to unlock Beetleshade and failed her first attempt.

Stormdance
Fourtrees
Cats were being released, Stormdance could see them out of the corner of his eye, so that meant there had to be a way he could get Sprucebark out. He offered Spruebark a brief, slight smile, an attempt at reassurance before lifting his paws up once more and pressing against the lock, coming down harder this time in the hopes that it would force the latch to release. He didn't understand this twoleg contraption, but he would try over and over until he got it right. He would not give up until he got his clanmates out of here. Unfortunately, the lock was stubborn and unmoving, and Stormdance grit his teeth as he prepared to try again. His heart pounded as he listened to the twolegs and dogs behind him, the sounds of the other clan cats engaging in battle. He needed to move quicker.
Stormdance attempts to free Sprucebark again, and fails!
Honeylight
Fourtrees
Honeylight had been hearing chaos break out around him, even more than there was before, and his ears had laid flat as he tried to make sense of what little he could see outside his cage. He could smell clan cats, stronger and stronger, he could smell Shadowclan cats. He could smell a scent so achingly familiar and comforting, and then--
And then Iceheart was in front of him. Honeylight’s eyes went wide and his throat closed with emotion. Iceheart was there, really there, his mom was there! He was going to get out of here! “Ice!” He choked out. He moved as close as he could get to her through the mesh of the cage. He could hear another familiar voice and he tried to catch sight of his dad. “Is that Forestbreeze too? You’re both here!” He had trouble speaking past the knot of tears in his throat.
He blinked away the tears gathering in his eyes as best he could and forced himself to step back to give Iceheart more room to work. He wanted to help, but any attempts to free himself from these contraptions had never worked, so it was better to just let Iceheart work from the outside. Still, Honeylight was quaking with relief just from the sight of Iceheart. He knew he was not out of the woods yet, but just the sight of his mom and the sound of his dad’s voice was enough to make strength flood his veins again. For the first time in moons, hope blossomed in his chest. He occupied himself with watching Iceheart's back as best he could, keeping an eye out for twolegs as she worked on the cage.

Crookedpaw
Crookedpaw’s heart swelled when a new cat appeared in front of the cage. She smelled of SkyClan—oh she smelled like home—and he pressed back to not get in her way with the mechanism. She did not get much of a chance before suddenly a twoleg had pulled at her scruff. Crookedpaw shouted, “NO!!” and tried to throw himself at the mesh to break through, but it did nothing more than rattle the cage. He stared up in horror as his fellow clanmate was being grabbed.
Iceheart
Iceheart clenched her jaw in determination. Her glare was so strong that she could have melted the trap’s mesh then and there. She paused long enough to look over her shoulder at cats being snatched and then Forestbreeze fighting off a dog to keep it off of her. Her heart ached at seeing Forestbreeze in a dangerous situation, but she knew that he could handle himself for now. She had to get Honeylight out before she also fell victim to a twoleg’s paw.
She looked forward again and focused on the latch once more. After taking a sharp breath, she started working at it again. Her claw latched onto the mechanism holding the mesh in place and this time when she wrenched it back, it unhooked and suddenly the mesh was pulled away. Iceheart’s breath caught in her throat and she moved aside to let him out. “Honey-!” she gasped. She took a brief moment to press against him. He smelled different from what she remembered, but there was no doubting that it was him. She could shed tears and rejoice later; they still had much to do. “Honey, help me get others out or assist in fighting the dogs. I’m going to keep getting cats out.” Just before she rushed off she added, “I missed you. I’m so glad you’re alright.” With that, she spared not another second and moved off to the next cage.
