The shy Rainpaw was very observent, what she lacked in speaking and social ability she made up for in her keen observations of how her clanmates, moved how they interacted and she picked up paterns they all had.
For example, today she realized her mum was back slightly earlier from patrol meaning she had rushed on the patrol a bit. Which meant there was a high probability that there would be a meeting seeing as how mum was a cat of routine and that she always held them late afternoon / early evening.
She didnt like to be center of attention at all and stayed near the edge of camp. However she tilted her head seeing Foxpaw nearby. She blinked, she had been sick in the nursery a long while but hadn't his mentor gone?? Was this for him? she wondered glancing at him every so often from her shy demeanor.
She was very reserved and hardly spoke to anyone at all but she did give him a little wave. It wasn't usual for her to interact with anyone beyond what was required of her but, she felt a little sorry for him losing his mentor and all.

Rapidfire leapt up to the rock moments later, Snowvixen was gone and that meant Foxpaw needed new guidance. She had to keep reminding herself that she was deputy first and foremost, that meant in her mind she had to move past the tension her and her daughter Cream had towards one another. Creamlily was just another clanmate that she was bound to protect as her deputy, she was going to try and make this as professional as she could as much as it hurt to do so. She would do everything she could to view her daughter as a warrior of the clan rather than the daughter that she knew hated her for what had happened between them.
She knew there was likely nothing that could save that now and she wasn't the type to chase after lost causes keeping a realistic mindset, a bit cold for her usual sweet demeanor but it was what it was. Creamlily would get what she wanted, her daugher was right, she was a horrible mother, but she refused to let that effect her business as deputy.
I really have become you dad, my kits don't talk to me and blame me for this role, ironic don't you think? Is this how you had to try and see us too? You looked at us just as clanmates too didn't you!? she thought silently in her mind to sootstorm. She hadn't ever blamed him as much as her siblings always had, but now she was starting to blame him, not for what he did, but because she was following his same cursed pawsteps.
She blinked these thoughts away, "Cats of the moor, gather for a meeting" she meowed short and sweet and to the point.

Rainpaw knew it! she didnt budge an inch from her corner of the camp in the back however, she was very content here, she wouldnt have to talk to anyone this way and could watch everyone's reaction just fine from here, she could pick up on all the details that would happen this way too, who cheered for Foxpaw, who would not cheer for them, she could learn much much more from here than up close.
Mainly, she would be keeping an eye on her monster of a sister, she had begun to resent Creamlily more and more, especially what her sister had done to her at her own ceremony. Would Cream mock foxpaw here too? Her eyes narrowed, perhaps if she did she could talk to foxpaw afterwards, as much as it pained her to talk, she could be convinced to talk if it meant turning clanmates against her sister for her ultimate plan one day.

Foxpaw was lounging around camp. It was what they were good at, really. As much as they were filled with energy, they liked to take their time, too; and they'd had plenty of time to themselves in the wake of Snowvixen's disappearance. It was kind of nice, not to worry about being anywhere in particular in case Snowvixen wanted to train. They were nothing if not honest, so it was good that no cat had asked them how they felt about their mentor being gone. Truth be told, they'd hardly noticed. There were cooler things to worry about - like watching the honeybees float by! All this new free time was kind of nice.
He looked up, though, just in time to see Rainpaw wave. Huh. He hadn't seen her around the apprentices' den until recently, but she was about the same age as him. Was this one of the cats that had been sick? Well, she seemed sweet enough. Foxpaw gave a wave back, then smiled a bit. Catching Foxpaw's attention was a little bit like catching the attention of a mosquito - once you had it, they'd never let you go, to the point of being a pest. "What's your name? I'm Foxpaw. I've been an apprentice for a while now, which is funny 'cause I think we're pretty close in age. You were made an apprentice recently, right? How come? Were you sick? My sister Moldpaw was sick for a while, but now she sleeps in the nest beside mine. I think it's really funny, since Leopardwind and a few others are warriors already, and cats like you and Moldpaw were only just apprenticed for some reason. Meanwhile, I'm still just some plain old apprentice, for like forever apparently. Hey, we should train together sometime!" Somehow, Foxpaw managed to get his entire train of thought out in one single breath - a fact that was made apparent by his panting at the end of his long ramble. Still, as he caught his breath, he grinned.
Nevermind that Rapidfire was calling the Clan to gather. She was always calling the Clan to gather, and it was never really important. Foxpaw was talking to someone new, and they weren't going to shut up unless they were explicitly told.

Rainpaw watched with unblinking eyes her new apprentice friend talk a mile a minute the shy she cat felt all but overwhelmed by it and wrapped her tail around her paws as if setting out a defensive parimiter she’ll around her from his words.
He was friendly enough however and she relaxed a bit but still wasn’t the most keen on talking even if it was to him.
She simply gave a little nod Yes, she was the one who was sick with his sister moldpaw Yes, she very much so did want to go training with him and she shuffled on her paws shyly at the thought of that
Luckily for her, mom was continuing the ceremony, that meant maybe she wouldn’t have to talk much or better yet at all.

“With the loss of snow vixen we gather today to pass along fox paws training. fox paw, your new mentor will be creamlily. I know that she is a good warrior and will teach you what you need to know”
Rapidfire knew that she could have praised her daughter all day and it wouldn’t change how cream saw her. It was what she could do for now. Perhaps a small pawstep to try and fix their relation - though it seemed the actual distance for that would be miles and miles to the lake territories and back.

Rainpaw glanced at her friend with her same observing glance. Fox paw would train under her sister? She frowned a bit thinking but still said nothing at all. She gave a little dip of her head in silent congratulations before slipping away hoping that at least for now the mosquito would leave her be.

Foxpaw didn't seem deterred by Rainpaw's silence; rather, he didn't particularly notice. Talkative as they were, few cats let them just ramble on and on as they pleased, other than Falconpaw and Ryepaw. But right as Rainpaw nodded in reply, Rapidfire began to speak again - and Foxpaw's ears pricked as they heard their name.
Me? It was about them? Well, it wasn't their ceremony - not that they would've ever expected to be named a warrior before Falconpaw was. He was sure he'd be one of the last of his litter to graduate, and he didn't really resent that. It was far better to be a kid for longer, before the duties and responsibilities of warriorhood overtook all of his free time.
Ah. So it was about his mentor. Snowvixen had been missing for as long as he'd been an apprentice, really. Foxpaw's whiskers twitched uneasily as his new mentor was announced. Creamlily? They didn't know Creamlily. They'd overheard her warrior ceremony, maybe, but they'd never actually met her. So their freedom was coming to an end. "Fox-dung." He murmured, not particularly caring if anyone heard.
Foxpaw glanced over at Rainpaw, but it seemed she was making her exit. He could chase after her, but he could see Creamlily coming toward him. Why had Rainpaw frowned? Was Creamlily bad? Unease stirred in the pit of their stomach for possibly the first time in their life. Stars.
Creamlily's mood had been... more sullen as of late. At least, she was quieter. Not having anyone to talk to tended to do that to a cat. She wasn't close with her family, never had any friends, and, well, she wasn't an apprentice, so Viperpaw wasnt around to bother her anymore. Not that she minded, of course. She was more than capable with taking care of herself. She didn't need other cats to fill her days with their nonsensical thoughts and drama. Thats what she told herself, anyway.
Giving Rainpaw the same i-don't-even-see you treatment, Creamlily sat down near the edge of the crowd. She willed the ceremony to be over with sooner, irritable gaze snapping to Rapidfire with what could only be described as disgust.
Her irritation was short-lived, of course.
Creamlily pricked her ears at the call of her name. As much as she hated the fact that it was Rapidfire calling her name, the warrior was glowing with pride as she trotted up to Foxpaw. Well, pride, and a little something else. She didn't pay much mind to it. Foxpaw, she knew, was Viperpaw's sibling, though she didn't know much else about them other than that. There was the usual, almost instinctual urge to bring up Viperpaw, question Foxpaw's skills, all the usual insults. They were right at her tongue too. But something... something, almost akin to loneliness, made her attempt at a smile, albeit a shy one, and mew, with no small measure of granduer, "Congratulations, er- Foxpaw, for receiving the best mentor there is to have yet!" She flicked her tail, as if for dramatic effect, a small yearning in her hoping Foxpaw would smile in return. "Training starts tommorrow morning, all the usual stuff, you know the drill... let me know if you have anything you wanna do, yeah?"
