Falconmoon rose early that morning, knowing that there were things to be taken care of as deputy. The idea of him even being the deputy still hadn't quite hit him. It wasn't until he leaped up onto the Tallbranch and turned to face the still camp that the realization crept up on him. He froze in his spot for several heartbeats. The tension made him dog his claws into the bark and his fur bristled slightly. I shouldn't be up here... I should not be up here... But he made no effort to climb down. Memories of terrified cats from another timeline flashed before his eyes. Some were beaten down, broken, accepting him as their deputy. Some were angry, defiant, and fearful. Falconmoon blinked, and the camp was empty once more, the silence and stillness almost unbearable.

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a clan meeting!" He called out. He forced his claws to sheathe themselves and his fur to lie flat. That was just one more thing he would need to tell them all, as his deputy. Or should he tell them anything at all? Whatever he was going to decide, it would have to wait for now.
