It was unlike most ceremonies, the reason for this one was a bit more sad undertone to it, Moonpaw needed a new mentor something that happened from time to time in the clan when a warrior was missing like this.
She sighed uneasily, she was sure that Moonpaw's training would continue on a good path forwards, the clan could use this time in memory to snow and to celebrate moons work towards warrior so far she supposed.
She called the clan together
"Windclan, please gather for a clan meeting"
Her tone held the same bits of sorrow that this meeting had due to it being caused by their mising clanmate. Poor snow... she hoped desperatly she was alright.

Leopardwind's ear flicked as Rapidfire's voice rang through the clearing. He had a feeling he knew what was coming. Snowvixen had gone missing not too long before Fuzzface and Molehill, and their apprentices were all left without a mentor. This would surely be a ceremony where one of them were assigned a new one to guide them. Selfishly, he wondered if any would be considered to be passed to him, but knowing how most apprentices were around his age if not older, he knew it was unlikely.
Moonpaw...sort of knew that this was coming. Training sessions became fewer and farther between until, finally, they stopped altogether. She didn't blame Snowvixen for being busy with whatever it was that kept her from their training - not even when it got annoying. She was certain the warrior had a good excuse. Was. Past tense. Now, Snowvixen seemed to have inexplicably vanished. Or perhaps she'd just found a nice, quiet part of the territory to hide out in. Either way, the good times of lazing about and having little to concern herself with...they were over.
The silver molly got to her paws and, after a languid stretch, padded to the center of the camp and plopped herself down just a few pawsteps away from Leopardwind. "hopin' for an apprentice, friend?" She meowed, voice smooth. "might be in luck, we'll see." She knew this was going to be her mentor reassignment ceremony, she just didn't know who her new mentor would be. Someone easy to please, she hoped. Definitely not Leopardwind for, as much as she appreciated him sneaking out with her when she was still in the nursery, she knew he'd be on her tail all hours of the day. Yeah. No thanks. She'd have to pass on that one.
In fact, if Rapidfire decided to entrust the rest of her training with Leopardwind, she might actually have her first ever meltdown. Falconpaw was so right when he admitted to being scared to get Leopardwind as a mentor. Her opportunities to nap would disappear! She'd be more tired than ever before! Repressing a shudder at the thought, Moonpaw looked away from the warrior. Please please please let Rapidfire pick a calm, laid back warrior for her.

Rapidfire glanced at the clan below her thinking still over whom moonpaw would need as a mentor. Moonpaw could be needing modivation at times, something her old apprentice lacked none of.
Perhaps the two of them would be good together, Leopard would be the motivator and Moonpaw could perhaps calm him down at times.
She tilted her head thinking.
"Moonpaw, your training cannot be put on hold any longer, with Snows absence you must keep working towards your warrior name. Your new mentor will be..."
She paused, of all the apprentices, moon was the most difficult to figure out where she should go,
"Leopardwind" she finally decided with a nod.
"he will train you well and will ensure you meet the needed skills to survive as a warrior of our clan. she decided with a nod.
she hesitated not ending the meeting and her eyes narrowed... all at once the impulsive decision washed over her that she had a better plan for Leopard, a young kit in the nursery whom she had half an eye on would be a better pairing for him...
Canceling her jump off the rock at the last possible moment she haulted,
"hmm actually... your mentor will be Oatfluff, I have another idea for later in mind"
... Oatfluff was training like half the clan and she felt a bit bad sticking another appretnice to him but Moon and Oat would work out better as she thought about it more.
She would be sure to help her friend with all the apprentices he now would have.
She hopped off the rock with ease now due to how many times she had to do it. Signalling that Oatfluff was final and that the meeting really was over this time.

Oatfluff couldn't hide his confusion as Rapidfire called Leopardwind's name - then changed it and called his name. Again. Was she only entrusting so many apprentices to him because they were friends, or because she truly thought he was the best option? No - Rapidfire was an honest cat. Besides, the Clan was full of baby warriors; perhaps she just wanted someone more experienced handling the apprentices. Well, Moonpaw was someone he only knew in passing, but she seemed nice enough! Laid back, for sure. Leopardwind may have been an interesting choice for the young molly... Oatfluff could provide much gentler guidance.
He didn't mind, really. With the disappearances of his old apprentices, he was now only training Moonpaw and Rainpaw - both very calm cats. Maybe I should take them out for a joint training session sometime. They might be fast friends.
Oatfluff stood up as Rapidfire hopped off the rock, then made his way through the crowd to Moonpaw. "Hey there! Name's Oatfluff. I'll do my best to fill Snowvixen's pawprints, I promise." He purred, his eyes closing a bit as he gave her a warm smile.

"Perhaps," Leopardwind replied, whisker twitching at Moonpaw's suggestion. The apprentice seemed to think better of it, however, and quickly went away. Was she scared of having him as he mentor? The tom watched the tabby with amusement, tail flicking as Rapidfire began the ceremony. She wouldn't have a reason to be scared, unless she was doing something she shouldn't.
His ear twitched as Rapidfire called his name? Oh? The warrior readied himself to pad up to greet Moonpaw, but Rapidfire wasn't done. Leopardwind's eyes narrowed as his mentor changed her decision at the last minute. Irritation sparked in him; what was she trying to imply, that he was not a good choice for a mentor, or that Oatfluff, with his half-dozen apprentices, was a better fit? Huffing, the tom remained where he was, only approaching Moonpaw after the ceremony had drew to a close to a slightly miffed smile. "Well, Moonpaw, it seems like you escaped my training at the last minute... but I'm sure Oatfluff will allow me to participate in a few lessons?" He dipped his head to the older warrior at the last few words. With all his apprentices, Oatfluff would surely need quite some help.
