Even as the newly-named Heatherpaw stepped aside, and the Clan began congratulating her, Sootstorm still wasn't done. His gaze sought out the last of his daughters that had yet to earn her new name, and once he was sure that she was there(and well-groomed, as he had told Fennelbreeze to do so the day before), he raised his head to call out for the third time that day. "let all cats stay gathered!"

She'd been cheering out her sister's name once her father called out again, and Crakepaw kept herself steady. It was time for another one of her siblings. Either Rapidkit or Fidgetkit-she didn't know which it'd be. After all, it wasn't like she could rely on birth order to tell who would go next. She was the youngest, and had gone first!

Rapidkit purred so happy, First Crake then Heather, she was so happy for her now paw- siblings.
She settled in close to her family and held her breath for whosever would be next.
She really did try not to mess up her pelt knowing it was important to mom and dad that it look right but she could not have cared either way how she looked.
But... if they really wanted her to look pretty for just this big day, so be it she could do that much she supposed.

Next up was Rapidkit's ceremony. For a cat that had such a beautiful pelt(not that it had anything to do with how much it matched Fennelbreeze's), she sure loved to get it all messy. Thankfully, she had allowed her mother to groom her properly today. Sootstorm felt himself smile as he repeated the ceremonial words once more. "Rapidkit, step forward. You have now reached the age of six moons and are ready to become an apprentice. From now until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Rapidpaw. Your mentor will be Tigerstar," He gave his former a single nod. They had spoke about this the day before; Sootstorm had first considered giving Heatherpaw or Crakepaw to Tigerstar, but eventually realised that it would only make their ego bigger. Rapidpaw cared little about ranks, and would learn from Tigerstar properly without letting his status affect the way she acted. That, and Sootstorm trusted his brother to take proper care of his kit.

Rapidpaw purred so happy and nodded to her dad. She was a little nervous though… not at the fact of being tigerstars apprentice. Soot was right about this, she didn’t over worry or stress ranks.
No, rather she was slightly nervous because she was pretty sure dad was getting all the wrong matching s of apprentice to mentor… did he know what he was doing? Heather and crake practically never stopped talking about deputy prime leader or who knows what.
She pushed aside these worries and just focused on the happy, besides, today was their special day and she wanted to go greet her mentor.
The cheerful apprentice looked through the crowd and spotted Tigerstar. Going over confidently to his side she sat by him and gave him an affectionate nuzzle. This was one of the first times she had ever really met him but she was like this to most everyone. I’ll do my best to learn from you she purred excited
But there is one question I must ask she whispered quietly to the leaders ear.should I view you as my mentor first or as my leader first? she asked quietly unsure

Tallshadow was still coming to terms with the fact that he was a mentor again, but turned his attention back to Sootstorm. This time it was Rapidkit who was being welcomed into apprenticeship. He joined WindClan in calling out Rapidpaw’s new name. It had been a long time since the golden tom had felt so much positive emotion. Everything had been dulled after Goldengale, and even before that it had been blood and sickness and more death. At least WindClan could have this, something good, something that took the shape of hope.

Tigerstar wasn't exactly expecting to get one of the new kits as an apprentice, so for Rapidpaw to be appointed to him was a little surprising, not that he was against it. It didn't take long for Rapidpaw to find him before he could approach her, which he was alright with. "I'm always your leader first, mentor will be second." He told her, while he was going to do his best to be a good mentor, his duties were always to the clan first.

The apprentice gave a little nod of understanding. She was not even sure which answer she had hoped for, above all else she just wanted clarity. Her question answered she gave a little nod... she would do her best to keep that in mind. Leader first mentor second... she could do that right? She shuffled a little on her paws glancing around.
She saw her older brother Tallshadow cheering for her and she gave him a big smile and wave of her tail.
Galestorm cheered on the newly named Rapidpaw from Cloudypetal's side. "Rapidpaw!" he yowled, and was impressed to see that the apprentice had been given Tigerstar as a leader. What an honor, he thought to himself. That apprentice has some huge pawsteps to follow. He shot his sister an impressed glance and continued watching for the last, but not least, portion of ceremony to continue.

Cloudypetal shared Galestorm's impressed glance, her jaw dropped. Wow! Tigerstar himself as a mentor? Her whiskers twitched as she returned her gaze, imagining the leader of her clan trying to desperately wrangle a chaotic little apprentice. She couldn't help but wonder if that'd be too much on him, given that he already had an apprentice. However, she happily cheered anyway!
