Frigid wind wafted down from the mountains, sending a freezing chill amongst the lake and the territories that the clans had made their temporary home. Although frigid, and the ice encasing most streams, the winter was decidedly a bit milder than the forest back home. Here the clans gathered, closer to the base where they had all journeyed together before splitting off.

Was he the first one there? Tigerdance knew that there was an agreement upon arrival about meeting up at their arrival spot for the gathering, but he didn't think that he, and Windclan, would be the first ones there. Green eyes glanced around before he flicked his tail for Windclan to follow him further into the clearing. Eyes scanning for any sign of danger just in case. Satisfied he saw none, the leader moved to sit at the assumed center of the clearing, a spot where he figured the leaders would sit. Just small hill that sat above the surrounding area. Nothing like the great rock but it would do for what they needed.
The striped tom could feel anxiety bubbling in his stomach. His first gathering as leader.. How would it go? Would the clans be peaceful or would they fall into some sort of insult match? Regardless of how it went for the others he had his own things to report, at least before his illness got to bad again.

Happiness comes the way the wind blows
Sootstorm was just behind Tigerdance as they entered the clearing. The deputy found himself relieved that they were the first ones there; he had imagined walking past hundreds of curious eyes that followed him the entire way. He quelled the nervousness that rose up in his throat and raised his head just a little higher. There was a truce, he reminded himself, and none of the other leaders were likely to start attacking when everyone was so sick. If anything, this was a chance to share news and figure out a way to end this sickness together.
Sootstorm followed his leader to the hill in the center of the clearing and settled at the base of it, where he could only assume was where the deputies would sit. He looked up at Tigerdance; the tabby's face was controlled, and no one would have known how anxious the WindClan leader was if they didn't know to look specifically for the slight creases of worry. Sootstorm gave his leader an assuring nod, to assure both of them, before turning his attention once more to the cats trickling into the clearing.

Mottlestar
“May the stars light our paths.”
With a wheeze in her lungs that threatened to burn a hole straight through to her pelt, Mottlestar led in Thunderclan. She'd spent most of the day resting to be able to make the admittedly short trek to where the Clans had all first gathered, garnering all of the strength that she could in order to bring her Clan to the gathering. They were far from home, yes, but it was still a sacred time of the month. She had no clue if the others would actually appear or not, but she knew that she would uphold the traditions and sacred rituals that they kept in the forest. Even if every part of her body threatened her with its own flame, the frigid winds seemed to help. As a shorter-furred tortoiseshell, she often hated Leaf-bare due to just how cold it made her. But tonight? It offered a strange reprieve.
A scent of moor and otherness made its way to her congested nose as they made it to the clearing, and it didn't take long before Mottlestar found the place that would assume to be the leader's... hill. Not quite enough to be the Great Hill or anything like that, but it would work enough. She looked behind her to give a nod to Acornstem-as Mottlestar had also been saving her voice-before guiding them to where they would go. She gave a nod towards Tigerdance, her face falling slightly at the lack of Smallstar's appearance, and a smaller nod to the Windclan cat that rested at the bottom of the hill. She'd met him before, his name just barely there on the tip of her tongue.
She would wait in the meantime for Perchstar to arrive. Stars, she hoped the Riverclan leader was able to come before Birdstar. A gnawling sense of awkwardness pricked at her belly as she waited, though.

Rolling for sickness first for Galepaw: 2 Galepaw will exhibit mild symptoms of illness (-2 HP, -20 SP Debuff) Galepaw
Galepaw had counted down the sunrises after he had been told he'd be allowed to attend this gathering. He had been talking about it for days with Cloudypaw, and now the night was finally here! He had spent all evening meticulously grooming his fur to look his best in front of the other clans, but that one tuft of fur on the top of his head just wouldn't smooth down.
My first gathering! he thought as he scrabbled through the snow after his clanmates. The night was chilly, the full moon high in the cloudless sky, silverpelt shining down on the WindClan cats as they loped through field and forest to reach the gathering spot by the lake.
Galepaw had heard the older cats talking about the gathering, too. He was unable to keep himself from thinking about it now: the clearing filled with seemingly endless amounts of cats, their pelts blending together in the shadows as they formed tight-knit groups to discuss clan news.
Remember, Galepaw, he had been reminded, you can talk to cats from the other clans, and make friends there, but do not tell them anything they don't need to know about WindClan. The full moon is a night of truce, but after tonight, we will be enemies once again.
Galepaw stood on a rise, Cloudypaw beside him, looking down into a moonlit clearing. The surrounding trees and brush had offered protection from the snow here, so it wasn't as deep as on the fields or the drifts in the forest. We're the first ones here, he realized with a start. As it should be! he decided, and marched fearlessly down into the clearing after Sootstorms, checking over his shoulder to make sure Cloudypaw was following his lead. WindClan is the best!
Galepaw tried to imagine what apprentices from other clans would be like. Shadowclan, sneaky and cunning cats of dark coats, blending in with the night. He scanned the treeline on all sides, looking for a glint of ShadowClan eyes in the darkness, maybe they're already here and haven't revealed themselves. SkyClan, weird cats who climbed trees and watch from above. He searched the branches of the trees above, maybe SkyClan is watching us now. RiverClan, who love to swim and catch fish. Galepaw perked his ears in the direction of the nearby stream they had crossed on their way into the clearing. We should be able to smell them coming. ThunderClan, proud cats who make their home under a canopy of branches, away from Silverpelt. Galepaw couldn't imagine living in such a cramped space. He felt so free on the open fields, confident that his ancestors were looking down on him each night. He scanned the treeline again, not sure which direction ThunderClan would appear from. His claws worked in and out of the frozen earth and his pelt itched with restless anticipation. I can't wait to meet the other clans! I'll show them how strong WindClan has gotten.
Just then, he heard a twig snap and jumped to his feet to see a large she-cat make her way out of the trees and pad across the clearing to sit next to Tigerdance. He tasted the air and caught the strong scent of leaf mould, oak and a tinge of illness. He had patrolled the territory before, and this cat didn't share the scent of SkyClan, whom WindClan shared its borders with, and she didn't carry the scent of fish or water. If he had to guess, this large tortoiseshell she-cat belonged to either ShadowClan or ThunderClan, but he wasn't sure. More cats began to file into the clearing after her, and Galepaw's eyes combed over them with undisguised curiosity.
"She must be a leader," he whispered into Cloudypaw's ear. He sat up stright, puffing his chest out slightly and perking his ears, trying his best to look healthy, alert, and strong to represent his clan.
Galepaw is open to conversation!

Eaglefly followed his leader into the place that the gathering was going to be, it was strange: not meeting in the familiar 4-trees. Really made one question why it was 4-trees when there were 5 clans didn't it? Perhaps skyclan should be in charge of planting a fifth tree if they ever did get back home.
Shaking these silly thoughts aside Eaglefly looked around alert, he needed to lay off the jokes and jester for now.
Besides he had an apprentice to look after now too! This was gonna be her first gathering, an interesting first to be certain.
"Cloudypaw!?" he called for her. Hmm where had she gone off too anyhow?
He glanced around and soon saw Galepaw her brother. The two of them were inseparable most of the times, a really good thing. It made him momentarly remember Jay his own brother before just as quickly trying to rebury that memory not wanting it to hurt any more than it already did.
He went over to Galepaw instead since he must know where Cloudypaw had gone off to. "Galepaw" he meowed playfully and gave the apprentice a friendly nudge and paw at his shoulder. "you seen cloudypaw?" he asked tilted head. He really was trying to be a good mentor and didnt want to loose his apprentice on the first gathering

Goldengale had kept pace alongside her apprentice for much of the journey here, but he seemed to want to stick close to his sister, and maybe he wouldn’t want her hanging around the whole time? Ah, who was she kidding, of course he would want her around; and need her too, maybe, ‘cause sure as scat she wouldn’t let him near any of the other Clans right now. He needed to learn how awesome WindClan was before he made any other acquaintances, huh?
Instead of galloping off to slam her shoulder into Pantherpaw’s side, Goldengale hung around her apprentice. “Excited for your first Gathering, kid? That’s ThunderClan’s leader, uh… Murkystar, up there on the rock.”
Egretflight, another Clanmate, meandered over asking about Cloudypaw. Hadn’t she been here a moment ago? “She’s around here somewhere, right?”
Goldengale is talking to Galepaw and Eaglefly, as well as probably Cloudypaw if she’s nearby.

Daisypaw padded wearily into the clearing, keeping a careful eye on her sick clanmates who had been too stubborn to stay home. She watched as Tigerdance and Sootstorm headed towards the center of the clearing, were medicine cats supposed to sit together? She didn’t see any familiar pelts yet. With a rattling sigh, the bi-colored molly weaved through her dispersing clanmates, attention split between the small hill and looking for any of her classmates who might be struggling after the journey here.
Daisypaw is wandering through her clanmates, looking slightly confused
“It’s Mottlestar.” Tallshadow wheezed, looking half-dead on his paws from the trek. He flicked his long striped tail over Goldengale’s nose. “Enjoy your first gathering, Galepaw.” He said warmly, before meeting the large she-cat’s gaze. “I’ll be over here if you get bored.” He briefly pressed his pelt to his sister’s before leaving her to her mentor duties. He found a quiet spot to lay down that still had a good view of the small rise the leaders had chosen as an underwhelming stand-in great rock. With his long legs tucked neatly under him, the tall warrior settled down to preserve his feeble strength and wait for the gathering to begin.

Crocusfrost padded in after her leader, sticking close to her sickly mentor until she was forced to split off from her, making it clear her status as a warrior and not one of those who held an elevated position. Turning on her paw, she scanned the slowly growing crowd and spotted a somewhat familiar face, a Windclanner that she had come to blows with once before. She had no ill will towards the tom, but she wondered if he understood the situation and held none towards her. She doubted it. Regardless, now would be a good time to settle any ill feelings. The small crowd gave her little to no issue as she made her way to Tallshadow, finally having grown fully since he had seen her last.
"It must not be Tallpaw anymore. May I know your new name?" She asked politely, settling herself into a sit next to the Windclan cat.

Leopardstar's recent death had certainly had an effect on her, but whether it was positive or negative she couldn't really say. She still felt sluggish and sick, still had coughing fits and chills--but she would be dead and buried in the deepest marshes before anyone could claim she had abandoned her Clan.
Though, as with the last ShadowClan meeting, she was immensely grateful that she wasn't expected to climb a rock tonight. The small hill the already present leaders sat upon was enough of a challenge to scale in her current state. The cats that she was met with were Mottlestar and... The WindClan cat, she wasn't sure she recalled his name. Tiger... Tiger something?
"Bad evening," she murmured, voice softer than she'd meant it to be. It felt thoroughly mouse-brained to offer anyone true pleasantries in this situation. So far from home, so sick, still suffering; what had they left the forest for? "Evening," she tried again, a little louder.
Would her voice even carry in this state? She had no choice but to make it, somehow.
ShadowClan may now enter the Gathering!

Firefly would have rather stayed behind, her wet cough now becoming more of an annoying and exhausting experience. The fallen snow only adding to the irritation as she slowly stalked in behind her clan, her short fur soaking up whatever warmth it could from the throng of ThunderClanner's walking around her. The only reason for coming was to keep an eye on both her mother and (especially) Acornstem.
The russet warrior did not go any further as her the clan came to a halt, her legs giving out as she plopped into the snow. A bit embarrassed, she chose to pretend that she had laid down willingly, crossing her paws over one another with a face of stone.
Firefly is open to talk to!
Vinecrawler flicked his tail in admiration that Mottlestar had chosen to even lead ThunderClan to the gathering, the stench of sickness enveloping her. But just quick as his attention had been on Mottlestar, it moved to his sister as she peeled away from the leader to join the crowd. His large body pushed past anyone in his way, simply making it others faults for not seeing a boulder coming at them and parting to make room.
He didn't say a word as he came to a halt beside his sister and her... Friend? Brown eyes stared down at the lanky tom in silence, unblinking as he waited for a name with mild interest.
Vinecrawler is observing Crocustfrost and Tallshadow!
Heatherberry's eyes were half closed as she absently wandered in amongst her clan. Every step felt heavier than the last, her sniffles turning into tiny icicles that she couldn't be bothered to wipe away anymore. Her once rich, black pelt had begun to sprout gray hairs as the stress of StarClan being insufferable in her dreams took its toll on her. Her peaceful and happy facade was barely hanging on by a thread as her eyes wandered the crowd as she took a seat near the leaders, looking for any sort of distraction...
Landing on one WindClan medicine cat she had only recently met: Daisypaw. At first, she wasn't going to say anything as she watched the young molly grow increasingly confused. She hadn't asked (or even had the mind to ask) at the half-moon gathering but... Why was there only one of them? Who was training the young cat? Did she have any help at all...? Her tail lashed behind her in frustration, torn between her kind-hearted nature and the grievance she had against WindClan. "..." Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she rose to her paws once again, target locked onto the WindClan apprentice.

Daisypaw was too busy watching the other clans flood into the clearing that she didn’t notice the ShadowClan medicine cat behind her. She turned her head so fast a wave of dizziness nearly knocked her off her paws. Blinking rapidly to shake off the spots cluttering the corners of her vision, she looked up at Heatherberry, relief shimmering brightly in her exhausted eyes. “Uh yes, please. I’d really appreciate that.” She said, wincing slightly at the rasp of her own voice. Her white tail-tip twitched uncertainty against her back leg. “This is my first gathering, I’m not exactly sure where I’m supposed to be.”
The bi-color molly took a careful step closer to the black she-cat, trying to be respectful, but feeling a little overwhelmed in the press of the crowd as more cats started to mingle in the clearing. She lifted her chin, trying to look a little more confident than she felt. There was a lot of movement and tangling scents for her fever-addled brain to pick through, but Daisypaw never backed down from a challenge. “This might be a stupid question, but are there always this many cats? ThunderClan is massive.” Her voice dropped to an awed whisper, some old spark of her constant curiosity wiggling through the smothering shroud of her illness. She looked back to Heatherberry, giving the older medicine cat a grateful blink.
Daisypaw is talking to Heatherberry
Tallshadow glanced up as a familiar ThunderClan molly approached. Even Goldengale wouldn’t have mistaken her for anyone else, given the tabby’s impressive size. It was rare the skinny tom felt dwarfed by anyone, but the massive she-cat managed that quite easily. He gave her a civil blink as surprisingly, she took a seat beside him. One of her clanmates peeled off from the ThunderClan group, and he met the hulking warrior's gaze, dipping his head politely to both of them.
“The eagle-killer.” He greeted in a rasp switching his attention back to the she-cat. “You’re right, it’s Tallshadow now. I don’t think I caught your name either, both of us were pretty busy the last time we met.” He said, remembering the sharp white gleam of her teeth as she snarled over the caress of the great bird. “You fought well then, I’m glad to meet again on better terms.” He understood now, better than he did as an apprentice, with pride for his clan and their traditions outpacing his still-growing limbs, what the hunger took from them all. He couldn’t fault her for trying to spare her clanmates.
