Bearspirit had been dodging blows and trying to scurry around fighting cats since the fight began. Everything had happened so fast... But the only thing he was focused on was watching Swiftspirit. Once he finally found her, he realized that she had been injured... badly. Bearspirit's eyes traveled to the one that had done it to her too....

The giant marbled tom charged. "You'll pay for what you did to her!" He yowled without thinking about it. The cat that was nearly as large as Bloodstrike, but only half as muscular, leaped toward Nighthaze with fire flashing in his green eyes.

A hiss escaped Amberfluff's throat as her opponent dodged her attack with ease. Who would have thought that a Medicine Cat would be so used to fighting? The responding slash hurt, but not enough to make Amberfluff back off.

Adrenaline surged through Amberfluff. In hindsight, she should have recognised it as a dangerous situation, but she didn't. Instead, she slashed out with her front claws again, swiping at her opponent furiously.

Willowdance flinched backwards. More blood seeped down her body. If she kept on fighting, she would end up fainting from blood loss, probably. There were still many cats around, unfortunately, but hopefully this works out...

Willowdance slashed out at Ashfall, then spun around and attempted to fight her way through the crowd again. This time round, she spots a slim opening and ducks in, running from the fight and looking for her kit who needs the most help.

Willowdance used Fight and Flee, costing 14 SP and dealing 9 HP of damage! She successfully disengages!

Time seemed to slow down as Dayspring lifted her head from her paws. Earsplitting screeches and thunderous pawsteps pierced through the nerve-wracking silence that had hung over WindClan's camp prior to the invasion. Her heart raced as she rose to her paws and took a closer step towards the nursery entrance. If SkyClan had any honor, they wouldn't dare to place a paw inside of the nursery, but Dayspring decided to not take any chances. Her eyes darted around the clearing as cats that she knew collided with cats that were strangers. The sound of snarls and growls echoed in her ears and overwhelmed her senses. Border skirmishes and predator encounters were one thing, but battle was a whole other monster. It was one that she never wanted to experience again after this day.

"Stay inside, please!" The she-cat turned her head back to address the kits in their nests just in case they decided to disobey their mothers' orders, "Everything is gonna be okay, I promise."

That was when she made eye contact with him. Bloodstrike. The tom did not look happy as he charged toward her. A sour taste rose in her throat as she braced herself for impact. She absolutely loathed fighting, but she had to remind herself that the only body between her and the nursery was her own. She had to stand her ground. The she-cat stumbled as his claws met her flesh, and the uncomfortable feeling of blood started to trickle out of the fresh wound.

"You and Wolfstar need to call off your warriors. Dawnhawk isn't here anymore. All this battle is doing is spilling unnecessary blood and scaring kits! Nothing good is going to come out of this." She spluttered before recentering her focus.
In the next moment, she used her hind legs to push her forward while her front paws held unsheathed claws that connected directly with Bloodstrike's fur and skin. Quicker than a flash, she lashed out once again with a front claw before the tom could get another hit in.

Bearpaw hadn't noticed the fact that she was holding her breath, but when the signal was given and SkyClan began to pour into WindClan's camp, she let out a long exhale as she followed suit. The fight began almost immediately as her Clan began to branch out and attack and the opposing Clan began to defend, but there was one particular sight that seemed to throw the she-cat off. There were RiverClan cats here... she specifically recognized Ivystar and a few other cats from the Gathering that she had attended. What in StarClan's name were they doing here? She narrowed her eyes, starting off to find an opponent before a heavy force collided with her from the side. She refused to say a word in fear of letting her own voice distract her from the matter at paw. She bared her teeth before sticking her neck out and snapping at the older she-cat with a hostile glint in her eyes.

Cloudpaw wasn't used to the layout of WindClan's camp, and she figured that a battle would only make it harder for her to find her way around. While she knew that the only reason she was here was to help WindClan fight off SkyClan, she still jumped with shock when the raid was called on. She hadn't expected it to happen that soon. Adrenaline began to rush through the veins in her paws as she darted into the fray to find an opponent. Fury ignited in her heart as she noticed that Cloverpaw was one of the first to fall. Medicine cats were supposed to be spared in situations like this... which meant that SkyClan and Wolfstar in particular must've been absolutely enraged. The next SkyClan cat that she laid eyes upon would be her opponent, and that cat happened to be Birdsong. She raced forward, narrowing her eyes in order to focus on the she-cat that had backed up toward the edge of the camp before slamming into her.

She had been ordered to stay in camp... But how would SkyClan know that he had a mate and kits? Still though... As the sound of battle erupted around her, she started to search for her son and daughter. They were warriors now, but she still feared for their well-being. They at least carried some of Dawnhawk's looks about them. Her search was swiftly interrupted by pain as a sudden force sent her tumbling, and she looked up to see a she-cat. Baring her teeth, she hissed as she kicked upward towards the SkyClan cat's belly, trying to get her off as quickly as she could.

"DON'T TALK ABOUT MY CLAN LIKE THAT!" Brookpaw yowled, snarling. "We didn't accept Dawnhawk, we accepted Nightwind. And he isn't here anymore! So why are you still fighting!?"

"Look around you! SkyClan is losing, and rightfully so! Attacking a clan in the middle of the night, attacking and almost killing a medicine cat apprentice, killing a leader!? What kind of cats are you? Warriors don't kill to win! So. Just. Leave!" With a screech, Brookpaw slammed a paw down on the lanky molly. "If you're here for Dawnhawk because he killed cats, what makes your leader and medicine cat any different? WindClan cats don't kill. That's not who we are. I can't say the same for SkyClan. In your blind hunt to murder Dawnhawk you've all become exactly like him!"

Brookpaw knew this fool was finished. "SkyClan fights for vengeance. But WindClan fights to protect ourselves, our families, and our honor! I do have a family to fight for. My sister, my parents, and most definitely my mentor. You are my enemy, and if you don't see yourself as such you're more trusting and stupid than you say we are. Brookpaw, don't forget it. Because the next time you foxhearts attack us, I wont go easy on you."

Bloodstrike was practically a stone. He was big, heavy, and no matter how deep Dayspring's claws cut, the deputy didn't even flinch or acknowledge the injury. Moons of being tortured by the Asylum and then moons thereafter of struggling and being in constant pain from an unseen cause had all but deadened his response to it. He also wasn't Dawnhawk. Aside from squinting and slightly turning his head to just avoid damage to his eyes, he cared not for damage to his face. Dayspring's claws pierced his flesh and ripped fur out in the places where there were no scars, but she may as well have been made of feathers for all the Skyclan deputy reacted.

"So you openly admit that you had him and let him escape, even after moons of us warning you about him? Are you so stupid that you actually believe that should be enough to get this fighting to stop?" Bloodstrike smiled, and even let out a short chuckle, but it was not a laugh borne from amusement. A bottomless void of manic rage burned deep within his acidic green eyes as he launched himself at Dayspring. He threw all of his weight on top of her and began to tear into her with claws and teeth, no sign or prayer at all that he had any room for mercy left in him. Not for her, not for any kits that happened to wander too close.... no one.

"I will break you and your entire clan today for your insolence! Skyclan is not to be trifled with!" Spit flew from Bloodstrike's ripped lip and towards Dayspring's face as he yowled his last few words. He spared a brief glance to the kits in the nursery that could see him. "And your kits should learn this lesson as well. If Skyclan warns you about something, you should listen, or this could happen!" And Bloodstrike focused all of his strength on one of Dayspring's forelimbs, pressing down hard and fast against a spot of uneven ground where her leg lie. He was going to snap her leg, and no one was going to stop him from doing it.

The ensuing chaos warped his judgment. Burrpaw felt uneasy, watching the bloodshed. Why were they involved like this? Was killing Dawnhawk worth skinning half of WindClan alive?

He watched Wolfstar bowl over a medicine cat apprentice. Burrpaw could hardly mask his disgust. Beechface took WindClan's leader down by the neck... it was all too much.

A small dark grey apprentice slashed towards him, connecting with his flank. Burrpaw let out an almost demonic hiss and he reared back before throwing himself to the ground, attempting to rake Flypaw's belly.

Burrpaw used Belly Rake, inflicting 9 damage if successful, and costing 14 SP instead of 15 SP due to the presence of Beechface.

Quietstep felt herself get barreled over as a Windclan cat attacked her. She unsheated her claws as she cursed herself. Stars, why?! She unsheathed her claws as the tom apologized. "I-I'm sorry as w-well." She stuttered out, before slicing at the Windclan tom. I'm just defending myself till I can get away. I'm just defending myself till I can get away. I'm just defending- She repeated in her head, as she felt her claws hit flesh, with the scent of blood filling her nose.

Spotlake had just scrambled onto her paws, as several cats had brushed past her in a whirl, and the fighting began, going rather quickly. She felt her fur spike up, as she looked for an opponet. But it was too chaotic, even for a seasoned warrior such herself.

Spotlake is open to attack!

Mountainheart had no idea what was going on. Ivystar had asked her to come here to defend her clan and aid WindClan, if she remembered right, but it was just now occurring to her that she had no idea what that entailed. She'd never been in a fight before. Not even a play fight, she and Sneezingpaw had never found it all that fun. And this was very different from clawing a turtle on the head. Even before the fighting broke out, she could feel the tension coming from both sides. For the first time in her life, an overwhelming feeling of pure fear took hold of her. She didn't have time to think about it any further, because just then Wolfstar charged towards Cloverpaw and chaos broke loose.

The huge she-cat was disoriented, confused and terrified. She would have to fight, if she wanted to leave intact. Her long-buried instincts told her that much. But the side she was fighting... They were her own kin. She recognised them by scent; they smelled like Smokefeather and Beechface.

She looked around, shell-shocked. Was she supposed to... Pick one to fight? This was nothing like the turtle. It was easier to fight something that didn't look and smell just like her. None of the SkyClan cats looked like they deserved to be attacked, nor did any cat at all. So she turned to the only cat she recognised-

Beechface. She was being attacked. But wasn't she a healing cat? Like Dennisbro? She couldn't picture him fighting. Beechface was on the opposite side of this fight, she realised. But she was hurt. And Mountainheart couldn't handle seeing her sister hurt, no matter what side she was on. Without thinking, she launched herself between Amberfluff and Beechface "Leave her alone! Don't hurt my sister!" She used her massive frame to block the two of them from fighting. Beechface was hurt, and medicine cats weren't supposed to fight. "You're not supposed to fight her. Fight me instead." Her fur was on edge, though her face was mostly worried and showed no desire to hurt the WindClanner. Once her sister was safe she would leave and go home, and then she could apologise and everything would be okay. She only had to fight this one cat.

Birdsong hissed as a Windclan Riverclan apprentice bowled into her. Why were they even fighting like this? Their own medicine cat had just taken the life of someone and was busy fighting another cat, this was so utterly senseless. Going after Dawnhawk was one thing, but going after innocents who didn't know any better? It was sickening. She didn't want to fight, or even hurt this apprentice, but what choice did she have?

"Mountainheart??" Beechface gasped in shock as a large, bobtailed and pointed cat lunged in front of her before the Windclanner's blows connected. She stumbled back a step, surprise written all over her face at the realization of what had just happened. Riverclan had chosen to support Windclan... And they'd brought Mountainheart to fight. A Skyclanner by blood. To fight against her own kin. When all the clans had known of Skyclan's warnings.

And Mountainheart had just taken a blow meant for Beechface. She could have so easily been attacked by another Skyclanner in the chaos. Rage blossomed in Beechface's chest at the thought. Mountainheart had just saved her, and her eyes swept over the battlefield, noting cats locked in battle with each other. Wolfstar and Ivystar fought each other, as did Bloodstrike and Dayspring. Birdsong was fighting another Windclanner and Beechface longed to join in, to protect her daughter the same way Mountainheart had just protected her.

She'd already taken the life of one cat, however. And much as she desperately wanted to fight, she was no longer a warrior. The stinging of her wounds reminded her that as much as she kept her skills sharp, she wasn't going to be able to fight and be of the most use to Skyclan right now.

She'd wait, and heal anyone who needed it. Including Mountainheart, if that filthy Windclanner managed to overpower her.
