Muddyleap glanced around as the battle raged around him, a little...Taken aback by how vicious it really was. His tail lashed back and forth as he stood there, until he felt something ram into him, knocking him to the ground. He blinked in surprise as he glanced up at the smaller tom that had attacked him, a blank look on his face until it broke into a smile. "You attacked me!" he gasped, unbothered by the blood that was starting to run down his side. "That means you want to fight, right? Great!" With that chipper tone, he suddenly lashed out with claws - aiming for the side of Newtpaw's head.

Yarrowpaw watches in horror as Wolfstar tosses Cloverpaw, his best friend, his mate, the love of his life, across the camp like she was nothing. Her last breaths, her last blinks, her last words, they were all for Wolfstar, who took her life in cold blood. Yarrowpaw will never hear her tinkling voice, feel her heartbeat against his face, see her beautiful green eyes as she blinked at him. His mate was gone. His life was gone.

How dare he. How dare he.

How dare Wolfstar take something so precious away from Yarrowpaw.

The sound that left the wounded apprentices mouth was like nothing the deaf tom had felt rip from his vocal chords. Vicious, violent, screaming yowls, like he was in pain- he was, but the adrenaline was keeping him standing- and just the hopelessness and fear that emanated from his mouth.. It was a death yowl. The sound of a cat on their last breaths.

But Yarrowpaw was still standing. And Cloverpaw was laying in a pool of her own blood. It was a death yowl for someone else.

Growling like a Monster, Yarrowpaw rounded on Wolfstar’s retreating back, finding himself running before he had the mind to. He was sprinting, his injuries burning like hellfire, his mouth dry and full of blood, someone else’s blood. Giving out a violent yowl, full of anguish and revenge, using the last of his energy, Yarrowpaw jumped at the leader, raking his claws down his black and white pelt as hard as he could before collapsing on the bloodied ground.

He was done.

A terrible cacophony of noise startled Goldenfang from her sleep. A battle? At this hour? She stumbled to her paws, still groggy and confused. Cats all around her were locked in battle with furious screams and yowls, and she had no choice but to take action. Her Clanmates were at risk! She could see forms of cats lying still in the dust. She tried not to think about it, to block their faces from herself, and charged into the fray before looking around wildly. A young cat, a brown and white tabby she-cat, caught Goldenfang’s eye. There was nothing but the pounding of her paws against the ground and then a loud grunt as she slammed into the unsuspecting she-cat.

Goldenfang used Jumping Strike on Bearpaw, dealing 9 damage and using 7 stamina.

Brookpaw was up in an instant. A loud growl rumbled in her throat, and she ran up to the first cat she saw who looked her size. She leaped high, and raked claws down the enemy's back. "Cowards! Are you really going to attack us in our own camp where we outnumber you when Nightwind, Dawnhawk, or whatever you want to call him isn't even here anymore!? If youre willing to attack my Clanmates, I'll just have to attack you first!" Whirling around, she turned, and struck out again will claws, this time against Rainypaw's tail.

I especially won't let you near the medicine den and my mentor, weasel heart!

The blood pounding in his head, the chaos of the battle, prevented Wolfstar from hearing the apprentice thunder up behind him. The SkyClan leader snarled as claws raked down his back, and he looked over his shoulder to see the apprentice Spottedpaw had been fighting collapse in a heap on the ground. He spat angrily, lashing out with one back paw and kicking Yarrowpaw dead center in the chest, sending the apprentice tumbling head-over-paws towards the bloodied Cloverpaw. Shaking his fur to resolve some of the sting of the fresh claw marks, he spat angrily, turning on Yarrowpaw with his eyes narrowed in menace.

Wolfstar used Front (back?) Paw Blow on Yarrowpaw, dealing 10 damage and costing 4 SP. Yarrowpaw is KO'd.

Yarrowpaw could feel Cloverpaw’s fur against him, sticky and wet with blood. At least they were together at last.

Grasping the bleeding medicine cat apprentice’s paw in his own, Yarrowpaw slips into unconsciousness. He dreams of him and Cloverpaw in a wonderful wood, full of flowers and bugs and plenty of prey, the two of them laughing and talking together- Yarrowpaw could hear her wonderful, tinkling voice in this fantasy he’s created- and cuddled up in each other’s fur.

The two of them together forever.

Yarrowpaw is KOed. Wolfstar wins.

Newtpaw looked at the cat with shock clear on his face, brow furrowed in confusion. "Want to? No, I–" Before he could finish, claws raked through him, and he staggered backwards with a shriek. "What're y'doing?!" He spat, tail lashing furiously. He had the nerve to sound affronted, like landing blows wasn't what they were both here for, but this cat seemed so... excited to be doing it. It made Newtpaw shiver.

Shaking his head to clear the blood that had started to run from his cheek, he ducked towards Muddyleap again, snarling, "I don't wanna fight, I gotta!" just before he sank his teeth into the leg the tom had swung at him with.

The Skyclan tom's weight landed heavily on Swiftspirit, and she struggled to roll to the side. He was taller and heavier than she was, and that only combined with her current exhaustion to make her moves more sluggish than they should have been. Still, she managed to break free, panting hard.

One moment, the night was quiet, boring, just like the ones before; then there was a faint sound, a paw over sand, and more cats than Flypaw had ever seen together in his life came surging through the tunnel so violently he thought they might rip the gorse walls apart. Something like awe immobilized him for several heartbeats. Then he sprang to his feet, ready to throw himself at the first face he didn’t recognize—only to bounce gently off his mother, tilting his nose upward to look at her. He’d never heard her sound so serious before. For the first time since he’d set paw on WindClan land, unease prickled in the pit of his stomach.

As she vanished into the chaos, he carefully tucked her words into his memory, right beside Turtlefur’s lessons. Then he set off. It wasn’t long before he found an unoccupied, unfamiliar cat; in the haze of scents around him, he could only assume he was SkyClan. Tall, pale-furred, different from Flypaw in almost every way. He'd work just fine. Stopping just before he could skid into the older apprentice, Flypaw battered at whatever part of his opponent he could reach—claws unsheathed, just as he’d been told.

He was tired. By StarClan above he was tired. Deerhawk emerged from the Dirtplace with almost a look of disbelief at what he saw. SkyClan cats were in WindClan camp, running amok, attacking cats left and right. He took a deep sigh and shook out his thin fur. Blood had been spilled far too much already, and all because of that fox-hearted pile of SkyClan dung Dawnhawk - how dare he have a similar name to Deerhawk's own - who couldn't have a loyal thought if he tried. Though from his rather smelly viewing spot he could see several other SkyClan cats shared that tom's bloody tendencies. He could hardly stand to look. "What do they teach these cats? Great StarClan," he mumbled, finding a lone young cat standing among SkyClan's ranks. He was getting a little too old for this. He lined up his haunches and pounced like the poor warrior was a rabbit.

Deerhawk used Jumping Strike on Shadewing! It dealt 7+3 (unfocused) damage and used 7 stamina.

Rainypaw was caught off guard as a body flew at her and bowled her over she couldn't even get back onto her paws when she was struck again but on her tail this time. Dear stars above! This was madness. She blinked her eyes back into focus as she looked at her attacker, their words finally becoming clear in her muddled ears. "Do you think we all agreed to this? Some of us were forced to come and fight. I just wanted Dawnhawk dead and not you WindClanners but most of my clan has gone beyond bloodthirsty. They don't see reason. They're pissed that your clan harbored a vermin like Dawnhawk after all that he has done against my clanmates. I'm sorry but we have to fight." she grunted as her body went tense and her eyes calculating.

After a few seconds, the apprentice slid under the she-cat in an attempt to rake her belly. She prayed that she'd be successful in her endeavor because there was a good chance she'd set herself up for failure.

Unfortunately, she had missed her target and failed her attack. How embarrassing. She leaped back up onto her paws and warily watched her opponent for their next move.

Muddyleap blinked as the tom shouted at him, tilting his head with a frown. "You gotta?" he echoed, seeming completely unbothered by the fact that Newtpaw had just bit down on his leg. Instead, the warrior simply gave him a strange look. "You are the one invading our camp in the middle of the night, if anything I think WindClan is the one that has to fight - to protect ourselves." He scrunched up his nose. "...Why even be here if you don't want to fight?" There was a little hesitation in Muddyleap to attack a cat who apparently didn't want to fight but he just felt confused by the tom...Besides, he guess he ought to do something about the fact that the tom bit him. So, with a small shrug of his shoulders, he simply swung his free front paw at Newtpaw.

With narrowed eyes, Ivystar watched as SkyClan cats burst through the entrance of camp, her eyes flicking about to try and find an opponent. The enemy patrol had scattered wildly and battles broke out across camp, but finally, her eyes landed on the opposing leader- and her son? Ivystar had not been in WindClan camp long, and certainly not long enough to realize that Yarrowpaw was present. All the worry and time that she and Dewlight had put into searching for him, and thinking that he'd died to a pack of snarling, slobbering dogs... And he was in WindClan? She couldn't fathom what had possessed him to do such a thing... But she had much more important things to worry about now. Before Wolfstar even had time to turn around after knocking her son down, Ivystar charged toward him and grabbed him by the scruff, shaking violently before throwing him to the side and slowly taking steps toward him, fury burning behind her emerald eyes. Not a word left her maw, but the intent to do severe harm to the tom was evident.

Ivystar used Scruff Shake, dealing -10 damage and using -20 Stamina Points. Wolfstar is stunned for 1 turn.
