Nightwolf swiped at Aspenleaf again. "Go off and heal!" He called after Beepaw as he landed a blow on Aspenleaf.

"Its okay. You can go and help." Said Spotlake. "Softpaw is Morningpaw going to be okay?" Asked the queen.

Stars cascaded out of gashes all over her body, but the StarClan warrior didn't falter as she lashed her tail and prepared to attack. Suddenly, Aspenleaf felt strength return to her limbs as Vixenstar let out a loud cry, the Song of the Stars. "You can't beat us, you mouse-brains!" she crowed. Fast as lightning, she struck the warrior near her, rearing up on her hind legs and slashing with both forepaws at her opponent's face. "Enjoy your scars, dear," she smiled cruelly.

Aspenleaf used Rending Front Paws on Nightwolf, costing 25 stamina and dealing 20 damage.

Redpaw hissed, a low, angry sound. “Sure we can. We’d already have done it, but you can’t even fight without your tricks. Goes to show how bad you actually are at fighting.” He snarled and slid under Aspenleaf, raking her belly with hind legs. He showed no mercy as red streaks appeared on her stomach. “Enjoy your scars, mousebrain.” He scrambled away, letting the others attack.

“Ah yes. And there you go again. Spouting about how it is I who destroyed your precious ‘family’ when the truth is, it should have never existed at all.” Brackenstar growled, stalking forward and bringing his sharp claws down across the little tom’s head. He reared up, bringing them down once more. Attempting to push the young tom down into the dirt where he belonged.

And they were stronger opponents - they were much, much stronger than Larchneedle, even with the glorious power of death and un-death coursing through his veins. He tried to duck out of the way of the white-pelted warrior, but he was distracted by the sensation coursing through him. Larchneedle could only gasp and growl as she slid herself beneath him, raking mercilessly and desperately at his belly. He staggered out of the way, stumbling again. No - no, something was wrong. This... couldn't have been what the Righteous Ones had promised. The starlight in his fur was flickering violently, like a droplet of dew slowly rolling faster and faster down a leaf, struggling in vain to halt before the inevitable plunge. Larchneedle stumbled and caught himself, looking feverishly and furiously up into the eyes of the deputy he'd ruthlessly taunted.

Larchneedle's ears flattened at the sound of Honeytongue's threatening snarl. He looked defiant to the very last moment; his eyes conveyed the message that she was lower than the dirt beneath his paws. The ruddy tom had no strength to resist her as she reared up and slammed her paws down into him. He crashed into the earth, and the stars in his pelt flashed violently, flickered, and scattered, fading into darkness. Where the starry warrior had been there was nothing; there were no signs of the black-scarlet blood he'd spilled, if he'd ever truly spilled any at all. His time in this forest was truly over - for good this time.

Larchneedle has been defeated and faded from the battle.

There was almost a soft laugh of relief from Honeytongue as she watched Larchneedle fade from view, his death almost...Beautiful, the way he had flickered and scattered like fireflies buzzing over the river. There was no sign that he had ever existed other than for the wounds on Silverpaw and Ashpaw and the tiredness that weighted down her body. The tom who had insulted and injured her sons was dead. Gone. The Righteous Few could be defeated. They could die. That simple confirmation was all that she needed as she spun to stare at the two cats who had helped her, nodding her head to them. "Go! We need to thin the numbers of these beasts! Help whoever you can find!" she pressed, before she spun and raced off. She had to make good on her promise as her eyes set on the tom who had taken Ivystar away from her. With a yowl of vengeance, she threw herself at Sunspark, raking her claws down his side before she fell into step next to Stormbringer and gave her surviving mate a sad look. "I'm so sorry for taking so long, love. Had to make sure Spiderquill and Ashpaw were alright," she gasped quickly, before she locked eyes with Sunspark, sneering. "But we'll crush this monster into stardust for his deeds."

Oakstar's blood was sweet like honey to Dawngaze's addled mind. It dripped freely from her maw and stained her long bicolored fur so deeply that it turned black in the faint moonlight. She released his throat with a sharp gasp of air; she'd been holding it in so she didn't choke on his blood with him. "It's over, you fool, it's all over." Crimson blood splattered from her tongue. Was it truly over? Leaders tended to keep their lives secret. Whether or not he had more was unknown to Dawngaze, so she stared numbly at his body and waited for some sign of stirring. She would be ready for him. She would strike him down a thousand times to make him suffer the way she had - the way she was. Even now the memories of her kin raked through her mind like sharpened claws, tearing what remained of her rationality into little pieces. He laid limp like Lichenmask, staring blankly with a look of shock and horror frozen on his face. In a daze, the ThunderClan warrior lifted her head and stared at Dustcloud's back as she wrestled with Badgerstar. The queen was blissfully unaware - for now. She wondered if she could make Dustcloud look like Brushgaze, laid out on the wet grass with her blood painted against the ground. The movement of a white pelt caught her eye, and she recognized Willowpaw staring at her and her fallen leader. Her gaze remaned steely, devoid of any discernable emotion. A single apprentice, even her own, was meaningless. Dawngaze looked back at Oakstar's body: still as the grave, even after all this time. She would move on from this, and perhaps no one would see what she did.

The clearing was thick with fear, anger, and pain. Cats of all clans battled alongside one another, and while the sight made Dawngaze's lip pull back in disgust, one thing bothered her more: StarClan. Oakstar ruined her life by keeping her alive and taken care of, but StarClan were the cats who did everything to her in the first place, starting with Lichenmask's mission and ending with the murder of Dacedream. There was too much in between to keep track of. All she knew was that every single morning of her life had been disappointing to wake up to. Her eyes locked on a large tom bringing down heavy paws on some apprentice. He was one of the leaders. Whether he was personally responsible for her pain or not was irrelevant; he was one of them and she would do as much damage as she could in her one pitiful life. She charged at Brackenstar, an angered snarl on her lips, and crashed into him claws-first. They'd all pay, every last one of them, alive or dead.

Lavenderbreeze hissed once more and slashed at Olivestone, who looked as if she were pondering her next move. However, her paw caught on a rock, and she stumbled as she went to strike.

As claws glanced off of her shoulder, Olivestone was thinking quickly. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched as Crowspirit fell, and that cemented the decision she was about to make. She prepared to spring, all of her wounds stinging as her tired muscles moved, and while Lavenderbreeze was regaining her footing, the deputy leaped, pinning the ghost-cat down.

She held fast as the ghost-cat struggled in her grip, and she leaned in close as she whispered,
"This is for Morningpaw. This is for every cat that has suffered at your claws. We will not be defeated."

She then lifted her head, bared her teeth, and with the speed of a viper's strike, buried them into Lavenderbreeze's throat. She clenched her teeth and held on as the ghost-cat struggled, and as soon as it had begun, it was over. The ghost-cat went limp under her paws and began to shimmer and fade, upon which Olivestone lifted her head and yowled,

Mothglow glanced up from her work at Flintstar's side, in a moment of clarity amidst her thoughts, to see the chaos carrying on, but she spotted a cat who wasn't yet back in the fray - "Dappleshine!" Aspenheart and Mossbloom were tending her wounds, but that didn't mean she couldn't as well. In a fight like this, every fighting force would be necessary - and though Vixenstar was standing the fact was she had fallen once at Dappleshine's paws. So she set to work, tending to the worst of what injuries were left. "You took her down once - you can do it again."

She curled her tail around her side again, nudging Flintstar's still form, still too reminiscent of Thornstar's own death. "They've taken enough from us."

Ashpaw knew his attempt to pull Larchneedle down was in vain, but he held on till the last forceful pull separated them; falling onto his back with a breathless grunt, all the little tom could do was watch through terrified eyes as the huge ghost reared onto his hind paws and prepared to come down on him.  Hard.

He closed his eyes just in time because once the claws hit they could've torn them out.  Screaming in pain, the long-haired gray apprentice tried to struggle away, but he was pinned, and each blow made him dizzier and dizzier.  His loudest yowl came when the tip of his ear exploded with pain as if it had been ripped off.  He pushed out with his hind claws, but they touched nothing, and he quickly realized that the tom's weight was gone.  Shocked, Ashpaw finally opened his eyes - though the mix of blood and burriness was barely better than darkness - and managed to make out the golden form of Honeytongue standing over the StarClan tom, victorious.  Panting, Ashpaw tried to stand on his own, but his paws were too wobbly; he felt like when he had snuck into RiverClan's camp.  However, he felt a comforting pressure against his body, and he knew it his mother helping to support him, just like Stormbringer had.  

He finally couldn't fight her words; nodding in defeat, he cleared the blood from his face with a forepaw before looking up, but Honeytongue was already gone.  However, now he noticed something very odd; Larchneedle's body was nowhere to be seen.  Did it...vanish?  I suppose ghosts don't have any physical body to leave, after all...good riddance.  Ears flattened back, Ashpaw spit at the place where the tom used to be before walking away, taking staggering steps towards the edge of the clearing, his long tail dragging on the ground.  He had been defeated...but he was still alive.  Unlike Morningpaw...and unlike Ivystar.  He entered the shade of the trees, but his vision was still too blurry to make out any faces.  He was exhausted, his head was pounding, and he wanted to collapse where he stood but knew he needed to find Spiderquill...somehow.  He had been over here earlier...

Suddenly, Ashpaw bumped straight into another cat, and for a moment thought it might be a Righteous Few member, but he quickly realized that this body was warm and comforting.  The fur was coarse, and from his limited vision, he could see they were dark-pelted, but pinkish near the face.  "S-Spider...quill?"  Ashpaw's expression was blank, suddenly frozen in an undescribable kind of shock.  His green eyes were wide and unseeing, and before he knew it he had fallen against his adopted brother's shoulder, paws barely holding him up.  In a rush, the tears came, and this time he truly sobbed.

"S-she's...gone.  T-they're...all...in d-danger...I'm s-so sorry...I couldn't do a-anything!"

Ashpaw has retreated from the battle.

Once Lavenderbreeze's body had completely vanished, Olivestone knew what she had to do. Dodging fighting, writhing, screaming bundles of fur, she dashed over to where Spotlake and Softpaw were tending to Morningpaw. She paused, her heart sinking, until she saw the little flutter or her apprentice's chest, rising and falling. Relief coursed through her body, and she quickly murmured to the pair,
"The cat that caused all of this damage is dead. She won't hurt anyone else ever again."

She took a deep breath as she looked for the rest of the medicine cats. "You're doing great work, Softpaw. If anyone can help her, you can."

Olivestone bent down to lick Morningpaw on the top of the head, and whispered, for only her to hear,
"I'm so proud of you for all that you've accomplished. I never would have dreamed of doing anything like that during my apprenticeship, and that proves that you're an extraordinary cat. I'm proud to have been your mentor." she paused, and added, pain clenching her heart, "So, please be okay."

Without another moment of hesitation, she bounded away, tears blurring her vision as she made her way to the medicine cats. Swallowing her grief, she murmured,
"Can I get a quick patch before I continue fighting?"

Ploverpuddle was relieved once the dead cat had fallen once again. Dull yellow eyes watched as the cat disappeared in what seemed like a flurry of fire flies. Quickly the cats that he had helped dispersed to other fights so he should do the same. Quickly the large gray tom found another fight that looked like they needed some assistance. So the tom raced forward and once he was close enough turned on his paws and kicked the dead cat with his hind legs.

Aspenheart blinked in horror and alarm as Vixenstar struggled to her paws, a shrill, hawklike cry piercing his ears. The battle continued around him, raging, unrelenting, as the Righteous Few continued to push the clan cats. Another cat fell, but this time, at a clanmate's paws. Olivestone sounded another battle cry and came to his side, bleeding profusely.

Aspenheart pressed cobwebs to her wounds, smiling in spite of himself. "WindClan's with you," he said, loud enough for only her to hear. "The forest is with you. You got this, kit."
