Reason(s) for Retiring :

1. The practical/public reason (This is the reason Acorn is told)
With a wounded shoulder/upper arm that needs time for recovery and leaving only two well-functioning limbs remaining, it's much harder to continue her warrior duties like hunting or fighting. One day when her shoulder hopefully heals she will join patrols again, but until that day she has asked to serve in the nursery as a Permaqueen, eager to raise Thunderclan's next generation as well as her current kits.

2. The real/private reasons
Along with the many recent deaths of her loved ones weighing heavy on her mind, she feels hopelessly lost without Mottlestar. She starts feeling helpless and doesn't think she deserves to be a warrior anymore. Following her injury that needs recovery at best or becomes a permanent disability at worst, she sees an opportunity to retreat into the nursery- the one place where she's felt happiness these past moons.

Note: Comfreyheart will be stationed at the entrance of the medicine den for the ceremony since she shouldn't be walking, nor does she want to try.
