Emberkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats safe from the bramble's thorn gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

There was a forced smile on Acornstem's face, doing her best to keep her spirit up despite the crashing weigh of the battle drawing ever closer. There was joy however to be found - for Emberkit was finally going to join her sibling as an apprentice. It hadn't been easy to choose to name Flickerpaw then wait to do Emberkit's ceremony but it seemed that the poor dear was still uncertain - insecure, perhaps - about her place within the Clan. Not being Clan born, the deputy hadn't want to rush Emberkit into apprenticeship until the kit herself seemed ready... And it seemed that time has finally come. Part of her however had been desperate to perhaps push it further until after the war - she didn't want Emberkit, nor Flickerpaw despite already having their name, dragged into the battle. But... Emberkit was ready to become an apprentice, she would not keep the two siblings separate any longer.
