Warm Up In The Cold [open to 2 more cats]

Cherrymist heard the words of Rippeedsky, thinking that one of the cats had made the first catch. Her tail rose up in praise to whoever caught the prey before she trotted off herself to see whether she could match up. She followed the sweet scent of prey for a few heartbeats before she felt she was close enough and pounced on the animal, targetting a swift bite to it's neck. Unfortunately, the teeth missed the animal and it slipped away from under her paws. Shamed, the blind she-cat returned to the group slightly awkward.

Pansypaw trotted alongside the patrol, and nodded her congratulations to Hollypaw.  Stopping abruptly, she perked her ears at the sound of prey. Glancing around, she caught sight of a blackbird hopping out of a snow-covered bush. As the small creature began to peck at the frozen ground, she slowly crept forward on light paws. Avoiding a stick, she performed an impressive leap and pinned down the blackbird, taking it's life with a nip to the neck. Proudly, she pranced back to the patrol with the bird hanging from her jaws.

Hollypaw mewed her congratulations to the others. The clan was getting more prey tonight than they would expect!

Rippedsky's ear perked at a sound rustling in the bushes off to the side. He broke away from the group silently in pursuit of the sound. My turn, He thought. It was his first hunt out as a warrior and he was excited to be getting out of camp. The sounds got louder and he slowed a bit to not alert his prey. In a break in the trees, he spotted a skinny robin pecking around the roots of a tree in an attempt to find something to eat. Sorry, you're not going to be that lucky. But I sure am! The tom thought to himself happily before launching himself forwards with an incredible burst of speed. Just short of the bird, he leapt, capturing it in between two paws and swiftly breaking it's neck.

He trotted back to the rest of the patrol, carrying the freshly caught robin between his teeth. After, burying it quickly, he turned to everyone and meowed, "Seems like Starclan is with us today. The clan will be well fed."

" It seems like it," Hollypaw purred her ears perking as she listened for any signs of prey. Hollypaw quickly scented a squirrel and broke off to find it. Maybe she'd catch another piece of prey for the clan! The excited apprentice, forgot to keep quiet and the squirrel she was tracking darted up a tree. [" Mousedung!" cursed Hollypaw her tail lashing in annoyance as she returned to the patrol.
