Sick isn't the only thing that makes cats weak (Open for only the people who have sacarficed their cats)

A few days had passed since Petalpaw had died. Spotlake laid in the nursery, hungry, cold and sick. But none of it effected Spotlake. Not one bit. Not even the fact that the whitecough had turned into greencough. The only thing that effected Spotlake was the loss of her kit. Swiftstep was far too sick and Blazekit and Pheasantpaw were gone. Many cats had told her that it wasn't healthy. That she should eat some prey or go to Aspenheart. That it wasn't healthy for the kits she was expecting. But Spotlake didn't care one bit.

Another bout of coughing and sneezing hit Spotlake. She curled up. Maybe it was better if she was dead. Then she could join Petalpaw and Spotlake's lost littermates. Spotlake coughed more before she got too weak. She laid her head down and closed her eyes. This was it. It was Spotlake's time.

This is when she goes to the medicine den, correct?)))

The apprentice had been checking on his mother more and more frequently the past few days, and the feeling of worry and nervousness had been haunting him. Even in his sleep. Soon his worry for his mother had overcome his fear of getting sick. Spotlake had been getting worse, as she now had Greencough. Her health came to be almost all he ever thought about and he visited her multiple times a day.

Smallpaw had just come back from a patrol. Two mice hung from his jaws, he'd been lucky today. He looked across the busy camp, looking for someone to have a conversation with. It seemed as though everyone was busy doing at something and didn't have the time. He shrugged and dropped one of the mice on the fresh-kill pile, while turning to the nursery with the other hanging from his jaws. He started walking, but that walk quickly turned into a run when he heard coughing.

He poked his head into the nursery and scrunched his nose as the smell of sickness clouded around him. He squinted his eyes to see within the dark depths of the den, and saw a lump of tortoiseshell fur. He rushed over to Spotlake's side, dropping the mouse on the way. "M-Mom? Are y-you alright?" He asked, trembling. Then he noticed her breathing. Her flank barely moved. "No! D-don't go! Mom!" He shouted, tears welling up in his eyes. Too many cats were leaving. He didn't want the closest cat to him to leave too. "We need to get you to the medicine den!" Looking toward the den entrance, he called, "Someone h-help! Spotlake's really s-sick!"

Spotlake didn't respond. The only thing that was a response was heavy breathing.

Crowspirit padded into the den as soon as he heard Smallpaw, rushing forward once he saw his mate. “Spotlake! No, no. You have to stay here. No. You’re not allowed to go now. Stay. For me. For Starlingkit. For Smallpaw. You have so much to keep going for. So much you’ll be leaving behind.” He curled up by Spotlake’s side, throwing caution, and his own health to the wind. ”Don’t you dare die. Think of our current kits. Our future kits. Don’t leave me.”

Smallpaw perked his ears and turned around when he heard pawsteps. He looked back to see his father rushing into the den"C-crowspirit, we should really t-take her to the medicine den, she looks as though she w-won't l-live another night if she s-stays here." He stuttered, trembling. "I can't r-really do it myself." He gestured to his short legs. Thinking about it, getting her to the medicine den would be the most logical thing to do. If she stayed here, she had the chance of getting other queens and kits sick. If she was in the medicine den, she'd have a better chance of getting better and a lower chance of getting other cats sick.

He nodded, grabbing his mate’s scruff and dragging her, as gently as possible. “Smallpaw, go find Aspenheart. As fast as you can. Softpaw will do if you can’t. I’ll worry about getting her safely there.” With that, he put his head down, focusing his attention back to the she-cat.

Softpaw heard commotion. She went flying out of the medicine den, carrying cobwebs, thyme, poppy seed, and catmint, herbs that would put off any form of illness for enough time to find the source of the problem. Cobwebs for bleeding. Thyme for heartache and sadness. Poppy seed for sleep deprivation. Catmint for coughs. She nearly collided with Smallpaw. "Who's hurt?" Softpaw demanded, looking around wildly. She didn't give Smallpaw enough time to answer before she spotted Spotlake.

"NO!" She yowled, dashing over to the calico. She quickly shoved catmint at her. Realizing she was unconscious, Softpaw gently moved her jaw in an eating motion, chewing the leaves in her mouth so the juices entered her system. She looked at Crowspirit. "You do what I just did. The catmint must be chewed by her. Take these two poppy seed, but don't let her chew them. Gently make her swallow them by massaging her throat." Softpaw instructed, sliding two tiny seeds towards Crowspirit. She hastily turned to Spotlake.

The apprentice pushed a dark cream ear towards Spotlake's chest, listening for breathing. It was raspy, but as Crowspirit made her chew the catmint, Softpaw could hear definite changes. "Smallpaw! Go get Aspenheart, immediately! Tell him that Spotlake has a serious case of Greencough and needs serious treatment immediately. Hurry!" She meowed urgently to the frantic apprentice, before turning back to her patient. There was life in this cat. She would not die yet.

Starlingkit peeked out from around Spotlake's still body, regarding his adopted mother with concern and fear in his wide eyes. He looked up to Softpaw at her instructions."I want to help!" he meowed, pushing past Smallpaw.

The bengal tom ran out of the nursery as fast as his little legs would carry him, streaking towards the medicine cat's den. "ASPENHEART! SPOTLAKE NEEDS HELP!" he howled, his shrill kitten voice stretching across the moor like wind.

Smallpaw nodded to Crowspirit, but turned to see that Softpaw had already arrived. He turned back to the small group gathered around Spotlake and watched Softpaw do her work. It wasn't until she started moving Spotlake's jaw for her that he realized that his mother was unconscious. He started hyperventilating and feeling dizzy when he heard Softpaw tell him to go get Aspenheart. He looked down and saw Starlingkit push past him, probably going to go get Aspenheart. Adrenaline overtook Smallpaw as he followed and made a beeline for the medicine cat den, kicking up the thin layer of snow that had been resting on the camp floor. He rushed into the medicine cat den shortly after Starlingkit had and looked at Aspenheart. "Come quickly! Softpaw needs your help!" He mewed, gasping for air. "Spotlake's got a severe case of Greencough!"

Spotlake let out a small groan. She didn't notice that cats surronded her. That she was sick. That she was not far from death. But a little, very small, voice told her to keep living. And Spotlake chewed the herbs, saving her from going to starclan to early. Spotlake would live too see another sunrise.

OOC: Haha and she'll live for several more years since I don't want her to die. Also since it was kind of moving slowly and I don't wanna torture the battle cats anymore (I mean they lost like 3 cats all of them good bois) so we're moving on! :)
