| A cold shiver ran though Mapleclaw's body as she stared at Falconfang. What? No! Her claws dug into the ground. He had to be lying! Reedstar couldn't have survived the fall into the Gorge...Could he? Her eyes grew cold as ice as she narrowed her eyes at Nightstar, the first cat to question the real reason of Reedstar's fate. "How dare you? You dare claim that I trying to steal the title of leader for myself?" Her eyes quickly scanned over the cats in the gathering and at the other leaders. "I am loyal to RiverClan to the end! I swear upon StarClan that what I say is true! The last I saw of Reedstar was when he fell into the Gorge when we were hunting together." She paused as she turned her glance at Falconfang. "If what you say is true, Falconfang, then I question why Reedstar has failed to return to us as much as the next cat. However, I will not tolerate this doubt any longer. As far as I care, RiverClan is done with this gathering. Either continue on without us or call the gathering to the end." With that, she leaped from the rock and after giving the other Clans a hiss, she strolled though the crowd of cats and left the clearing; leaving RiverClan to follow after her.
