Honeycomb was surprised as her father started forcing her to the ground, paws on shoulder. Redfall had more power and strength, but Honeycomb could slip out of his paws, and that's what she did. Digging her claws into the ground, the ginger she-cat slipped out of Redfall's grasp, before running behind him and attempting to tackle him to the ground. Honeycomb was trying to pin her father down with her now extra added weight from her pregnancy.

Brute strength may have been enough, but he hadn't thought about her ability to dodge. Redfall's paws floundered through the air for a moment as he struggled to regain his footing. Honeycomb used those moments to her advantage and slipped behind him. He was barely able to turn and meet her attack in time. He was fast enough to meet her attack side-on. It knocked the breath out of him, and he was surprised at her weight. It wasn't enough to knock him down despite that. A few seconds after Honeycomb crashed into him, Redfall tugged himself free of his daughter and pinned her to the ground for a good few seconds. After her attack, she was on the ground, and it was easy to take advantage of that with his strength. He allowed the pressure of his paws to ease and he let her up, though his eyes strayed towards her belly. It was noticeably rounder than it had been, which couldn't be due to lots of prey (it was leaf-bare, was there any to go around?). Pregnancy was his best guess. With who, though, his mind immediately went to Dawnhawk. The tom had been talking to her, she knew, and he had seen their little interaction after the deputy ceremony. He reminded himself not to jump to conclusion, and instead said in a low voice, "We'll talk... later."

Okay this was a little more fun than Flowerthorn wanted to admit. This was a good idea and maybe just maybe she could bring this in as a training thing later down the line when the warriors needed to brush up their skills. The pale warrior took Ashstorms blow but slide out of the way just in time, proud of her fellow warriors strength before retaliating with her own attempt at shoving the other down.

Ashstorm was happy to be fighting someone with more skill than her.  She knew most other warriors would hate something like that, but she saw this as a learning opportunity.  She dodged just in time, ducked, and again turned toward Flowerthorn and jumped to attempt to pin her again.

Crooked tail twitching in a slow and rhythmic fashion, Wrenspring padded after the gathering of his clanmates. Dawnhawk's words were muffled as he half-attempted to listen to them in case their, well, deputy said something of any importance. But the warrior wasn't interested in challenging him. Primroselight, much to his surprise, stepped forward. He stared after her for a second before another voice called his attention. Blossomstep. A soft smile touched his lips as he dipped his head as he crouched, "It'd be my pleasure to take you on." Getting into the spirit couldn't hurt if it meant a moment spent with a clanmate. There was a daring flash to his gaze before he sprang forward to initiate the challenge. It wasn't the strongest strike and he knew it but regardless the warm grin flashed across his maw. Allowing everything to slip away for a moment helped. Given recent events, he hoped that Blossomstep felt the same.

Honeycomb huffed in disappointment as she was pinned down by Redfall. She should have known not to pick on her father, he was much more experienced and stronger than her. Starting to get back up, Honeycomb froze as Redfall examined her. He was going to find out about her pregnancy, wasn't he? Her mouth wide open in shock as Redfall told her to talk later, her panicked eyes found Dawnhawk's. Maybe the silver-cream tom would understand what she meant...but if Dawnhawk didn't notice her, things were going to get very, very bad.

Blossomstep returned his smile with one of her own, although the deep-rooted grief in her heart still managed to reveal itself in her gaze. As Wresnpring darted forward she braced herself in anticipation of the strike, and side-stepped as he landed to deal a strike of her own. As her paw connected, she met Wrenspring's gaze and was a bit surprised by the warm smile on his face. How could he be so relaxed? Stars, she wished that this was truly just a regular spar, and not just a game to please Asylum and make them think everyone was getting along. Perhaps, just maybe, she could pretend that was the case... Just for a little bit.

Her counter blow shook his balance a little but the tom was determined to pin her down. Wrenspring could see the thoughts churning through her head; he knew all too well the conflict of the moment. Letting go for a moment wouldn't hurt, however, and he hoped she would unburden her mind for a moment - not for Asylum or any other cat but for herself. The warrior was determined to aid in this endeavor. If it meant indulging in a little kit-like behavior, then so be it.

A devilish grin flashed across his maw as he lunged forward, kicking off the frozen ground with strong hindlegs. His pads met ice instead of anything solid, slipping beneath him as he tumbled rather ungratefully into Blossomstep. Wrenspring felt foolish for have not watching his footing more carefully; hadn't he guided his own apprentice in such matters only a few moons ago? Regardless, a bought of laughter bubbled up from his maw, "You're go then. Maybe I'll learn how to do more than flap about like a bird with a broken wing next round."
