Beechface stalked through the territory, not at all pleased by these so-called 'games' that were being made out of her normal work. Competing against an Asylum cat just to gather herbs sounded ridiculous. She could gather herbs just fine on her own and certainly didn't need the incentive with leaf-bare having fully set in.

Still, the large, grumpy medicine cat said nothing, merely fixed the Asylum cat she was 'competing' against with a glare that matched the frigid landscape in which they stood. Any herbs they found would go to her stores, and she would not budge on that. She'd be watching them just as the Asylum cats watched her, suspicion evident in the hard lines of her face. Dawnhawk said things would be fine, but she simply did not trust that they would stay that way. If these cats tried to destroy what herbs remained in the forest after everything... Well...

"Let's get this over with." She said curtly, eyeing the Asylum cat with a less-than friendly stare.

The soured expression across Beechface's features and the steeled stare did little to phase Iniko. He knew clan cats weren't happy with their circumstances, that much had been made abundantly clear, especially since he had spoken with her previously. A response came with a flick of his feathery tail and a brief flash of a curious stare, "If you win perhaps I will show you some of what I've learned all these moons... and you won't even have to leave the comfort of your own territory." There was the mildest hint of a smile as the calico tom turned to dash off in pursuit of their leafed prey. His eyes scanned the frosted ground, seeking out places where something might be hidden from anything other than the most keen gaze. But it seemed his unfamiliarity with the territory was to slow him down. Rather than quickly finding any herbs like intended, he found himself pawing at flakes of snow without much success. His eyes narrowed and he carried on in his search.

Iniko was unsuccessful in his hunt.

Beechface said nothing to Iniko's response, though she did give him the tiniest of nods. She'd made her displeasure clear enough, though Iniko seemed unfazed by it. Perhaps he was stronger than she gave him credit for. Though she was very much curious about the knowledge the rogue held.

She turned in search of herbs of her own, eyes scanning the cold forest and jaws slightly parted. It didn't take long for a familiar scent to catch her nose and the medicine cat quickly followed it to it's source. The rounded, yellow leaves of tansy were unmistakable, and the barest flicker of a smile crossed Beechface's features at the find. Tansy would come in very useful, and it seemed as though her superior knowledge of the territory was working in her favor for the moment.

"Hm." The tom hummed softly to himself as he padded about the unfamiliar grounds. It was becoming painfully obvious to him which territory he preferred. Tanglerose always drew him back to Shadowclan territory and this was the first time it had become specifically detrimental to him. Ahead something finally caught his eye. A sparse clustering of juniper berries hung low on a snow laden branch. Practices claws worked to pick them off and harvest them. Taking them gingerly between his teeth, Iniko turned to find a proper place to store them for now. Even if these herbs were being sent to Skyclan, he would make sure to take proper care of them.

Beechface continued her search in silence, fluffy tail twitching back and forth as she scanned the desolate forest for herbs. She could not allow herself to be shown up by a rogue in her own territory, she'd become the laughingstock of all the clans if that happened.

A clump of chamomile caught the medicine cat's eye, and she harvested a small amount carefully, leaving some left over for new growth when leafbare released its grip on the forest.

Beechface has found chamomile.

With one find under his paws, the calico tom set to seek more. It was by happenstance that he had landed upon the berries and surely the next herb would be too. Iniko's only advantage was knowing well where things liked to grow. What held him back was the lack of knowledge of where it favored in this forest. One day he would know it like the marks on his pelt.

Ahead, under the sheltered nook of roots, Iniko rooted about. Luckily, there were some sparse webs. This was far from impressive and rather common as a treatment for packing up wounds but always needed. With ginger paws, he began to sweep at the webbing and gather it up. Once there was a fair enough ball, he turned back to where they had begun, not far from the juniper berries.

Beechface continued her own search, gaze sweeping her surroundings for hints of three precious herbs she needed for her stores. Looking for herbs gave the medicine cat something to focus on that wasn't the Asylum cats in addition to filling in the gaps of her collection. Of course, it was leaf-bare, and that made anything found all the more important.

Feverfaw was certainly important. Beechface smiled as she carefully harvested the herb, before lifting her head to check on Iniko's progress.
