Sootstorm leapt onto the Tallrock, gaze searching the nursery entrance for signs of the special kit who would receive their apprentice name today, as well as begin their journey to warriorhood. It had been a while since he last did an apprentice ceremony, and he looked forward to it more than ever. "Let all cats old enough to run the moors gather around the Tallrock for a clan meeting!" He repeated the familiar words and then waited for the arrival of Rainkit.

| Rainkit poked his head out of the nursery at the sound of the familiar meeting call. He'd never paid much mind to the "old enough to run the moors" bit, he figured that was just to sound fancy. For one thing, he could run the moors if he was allowed out of camp, and why should that stop him from keeping up with the clan news? Speaking of clan news, what could this meeting be about? It wasn't long before Rainkit appeared, fur groomed somewhat in a tidy fashion. "Rainkit, please step forward." Sootstorm gave the kit a warm smile. "Rainkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Rainpaw. Your mentor will be Auburnrain." He hoped the she-cat wouldn't be too chaotic around her apprentice, but he'll see soon whether the warrior had matured in recent moons.

| Auburnrain heard her name called and she snapped out of her day dreaming. She had only just become a warrior herself... and now she had this... this... kit to train? She regarded Sootstorm with suspicion for a moment, her eyes narrowed and her tail twitching in annoyance. After an awkward moment of hesitation, she came forward and eyed the apprentice. "Alright well... let's get going. Training with me is immediate." She touched noses with her apprentice and abruptly turned on her heel toward the moor. Maybe this would be fun... maybe Windclan would be short an apprentice.
