The sandy apprentice dipped his head respectfully to both Kitespring and Cinderpaw. RiverClan... He had heard of the alliance in passing, but never about what RiverClan looked like or what it really was. He cleared his throat, preparing to be less lazy with the forest lamguage now that his presence seemed to be received well by the two she-cats. "Nice meet you, Kitespring. Cinderpaw. You smell... Like fish." Unlike like his feral-blooded father, his smile looked sweet and kind. To him, the smell of fish wasn't a bad thing and made his mouth water; one day, he'd like to try one of the fish that swam around Sunningrocks. "What do I smell like?"
Tigerdance followed his leader into the gathering clearing, keeping his eyes forward not really paying attention to the growing number of cats in the clearing. He just wanted to get to his spot below the rock and get this gathering going. As he settled below the rock, he dipped his head towards the other deputies before finally turning his gaze out to the crowd, not really looking for anyone.

Pigeonpaw had just caught sight of Bubblepaw-- or she thought she had, she was squinting to be sure --when her hopes were quickly affirmed with a cheer of her name. She was quick to close the sliver of distance left by the barely halted tackle, knocking her weight heartily against Bubblepaw's side. "Heyhey!" She echoed, a loud purr rumbling in her throat. "You learned how to climb already?! Jeez! I dunno how to fish yet-- well, I could prob'ly figure it out on my own, but ya'know --but I'm learnin' how to catch like, mice 'n' water voles 'n' birds! You probably already got all that figured out though, don't'cha? I bet'yer a great hunter." Pigeonpaw's purr deepened and she leaned away, grinning so forcefully her eyes screwed shut for second. "Who's Crookedlight? What'd'ya do to upset'em? Oh, wait- I don't think I'm s'pposed to ask that. You don't have to answer. I wanna know who he is though! 'Id'you tell me 'bout 'em at the last Gathering? Sorry if I forgot 'em. I'll remember this time! Or, try to." A pause. "W- wait again."
Laggingly, Pigeonpaw processed the last bit of Bubblepaw's prattled greeting. She blinked twice, smile faltering into confusion. "Whadda'ya mean, foxes? You get attacked by one or somethin'?" Slowly, her eyes lit up again, and Pigeonpaw's hackles bristled with thrill. "You can take a fox, can't'ya? I haven't seen any predators yet myself, but I bet'cha I could take a fox on. All by myself, even!" Her tail whipped back and forth with buzzing energy, and Pigeonpaw rocked on her paws while she talked. "Nothin's really happened since last moon... uhh... someone moved in from ThunderClan! Murkypaw I think? I'm kinda bad with names, but uh, she just... showed up one day! Kinda weird but like, whatever. I kinda just showed up one day too, so! No fur off my tail. Other'n that... life's booorrrring."

Silverpaw
Silverpaw entered the Gathering alongside Pineblossom and Forestbreeze as he always had. This moon, he made an effort to hold his chin high as Leopardstar led them into the clearing. She would present a better face for ShadowClan than Nightstalker had... he hoped. He'd been trying not to think about the turmoil regarding their leadership, fixating instead on his grief. He hadn't taken the time to unravel his feelings yet, but whatever conclusion he was approaching left a bitter taste in the back of his throat at the thought of the former leader. To think, he'd once wanted to be Nightstar; was told he would grow up to be just like him. Silverpaw scoffed. If he ever turned out to be like Nightstalker, he would beg StarClan to take him back (that conclusion too made his mouth sour, his pelt prickle with discomfort). With that in mind, he was determined to represent ShadowClan as best he could, now that Leopardstar was properly leading them.
There was no better way to effect reputation than to make appearances, and there was no point socializing with only his own Clanmates. He had little desire to actually speak with outsiders, but it was important. Silverpaw dipped his head and said his goodbyes to his family before departing through the crowd. Briefly, he considered abandoning his mission for the night to sit with Hawkpaw again when he caught his friend on the corner of his vision, but he shook his head and persisted. He'd spoken with cats from ThunderClan and RiverClan before, and the idea of speaking with WindClan made his tail bristle momentarily, so it was SkyClan he set his sights on.
He drifted closer to the large patrol, searching their ranks until he spotted the gaggle of apprentices, quickly dispersing to flit between the other Clans. Silverpaw padded closer, looking over the few that remained amongst their own. It wasn't long before he spotted a pale pelt, nearly glowing in the moonlight where it didn't darken at the edges. Silverpaw regarded the stranger quietly from a distance-- the dark, bitter look on his face, the tense posture... and scoffed. He looked like Hawkpaw. Poor subject decided, Silverpaw strode forward to settle directly at the tom's side. "Hello there," he mewed warmly. "I hope I'm not interrupting. My name is Silverpaw, of ShadowClan." He sat poised, soft tail curling loosely around his forepaws, and grinned easily. "What has you so bothered? You look like you'd rather clear a badger's burrow by yourself than attend the Gathering." Silverpaw lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper to add, "Truth be told, so would I."
It wasn't long before Swanpaw was approached, and she blinked as an apprentice with blue eyes introduced herself. She smelled of the clan across the gorge, and Swanpaw, despite her words to Rookpaw sometime earlier, found herself curious and excited to meet a new face. "I'm Swanpaw, from Riverclan!" She chirped, "Is this your first gathering? You're Windclan, right? What's it like?"
Poppyshine hurried into the clearing after she fallen behind on the walk. Her eyes swept around to ensure that her apprentices were accounted for—they were—and then she made her way to the other deputies. “Good evening!” she greeted cheerfully. Her paw steps stumbled to a stop when she saw Wolfblossom’s injuries. “Wolfblossom, are you alright? I hope SkyClan hasn’t run into any trouble recently.” She blinked apologetically at her fellow deputy.
Her gaze looked to Acornstem and her ears lowered at seeing the change in attitude in the ThunderClanner too. Poppyshine offered the slightest brush of her pelt against Acornstem’s. “I hope you are doing well, Acornstem.” She then gave Tigerdance and Sablestrike a nod. They seemed normal, at least, so her attention stayed on that of her allies.
Poppyshine is with the other deputies and addressed Wolfblossom and Acornstem.
Pineblossom kept quiet on the walk to the Gathering. This would be the first Gathering since Leopardstar got her full name, and she was a bit nervous. Things had been quiet in the forest for about two moons; that usually indicated that something terrible was going to happen. She tried to push that thought from her mind and instead look around at the cats that had gathered. Her attention caught on a clanmate who was shuffled off to the side. Pineblossom frowned and approached Tawnyshadow before taking a seat beside her.
“You’re not often this antisocial,” Pineblossom pointed out as she settled. “Are you feeling alright this evening?”
Crookedlight’s heart beat a little loudly in his ears as he entered the Gathering. He normally was a little passive at these events, letting himself float around to whoever looked interesting, but today he knew precisely who he was going to speak to. He needed some advice, of which he would not consult Rainfrost of course, and so he figured Rowansong would be the next best option. Things were still…tense, Crookedlight supposed. They never exactly talked about their biggest fight. But he was still the cat that Crookedlight was closest with behind Rainfrost, even with all of SkyClan accounted for.
He wound his way through the crowd of cats until he spotted the ruddy pelt of the RiverClanner. He approached but his path halted a bit when he saw the other cat at Rowansong’s side. He had seen her a few times. Another RiverClanner, he was pretty sure?
Rats. Of all the Gatherings for you to already have a companion, Crookedlight thought to himself. His paws still tingled with the intention to speak with Rowansong, but he didn’t move closer.
Crookedlight is standing awkwardly near Rowansong and Egretswoop, looking at Rowansong with intent.
Larkpaw felt a little bored entering the Gathering this evening. The past couple have not been all that exciting, and Larkpaw tended to choose rather boring cats to talk to as well. Maybe that was because he kept talking to apprentices. He was getting rather old for an apprentice himself, so perhaps talking to a warrior would be more interesting.
“Come, Rookpaw,” he said to his sibling as he searched around. He wanted to talk to an interesting cat, which ThunderClan and SkyClan did not have. At least, he had yet to meet an interesting one. Instead, he started to drift towards the ShadowClan cats. His eyes landed on one that remained on his own. Larkpaw’s ears perked and he approached.
“Hello. I’m Larkpaw of RiverClan,” he announced. He nodded to his sibling. “And this is Rookpaw. Who are you?”
Larkpaw took Rookpaw with him to speak with Sunflare.
Common to her usual pattern, Willowpaw still did not feel up for talking with new cats. Every moon, she talked herself up on the walk to Fourtrees, telling herself that this moon would be the one. But as she sees the sea of cats…Willowpaw’s determination deflates out of her. She cautiously shuffles forward and looks around until she spots Dovepaw also on his own around the different cats. Willowpaw hurriedly moved up to his side.
“It seems like we are both out of our element here,” Willowpaw meowed. Her gaze drifted over the variety of RiverClan cats shuffled around in the crowd. “I don’t now how our siblings can manage it so easily. I feel like I’ll make a fool out of myself if I just walk right up to another clan.”
Patchdream padded into the gathering with her clan for the first time since being an apprentice and it was all thanks to one tom. Said tom was walking by her side not even noticong the silent glares she kept giving him.

Littleflower walked into the gathering on the other side of patchdream. She had accompanied the two so they wouldnt do anything bad. She still winced as the sounds and scents of everyone came to her, a flash of light penetrating her vision from the time she got struck. He scar throbbed in rememberance of that awful night.

Skunkpaw followed the scent of his clan but once everyone started to disperse, he got scared. He froze in place having no idea what was going on with the noises and scents overwhelming him. Just then a she-cat with the scent of shadowclan came.next to him, and escorted him to a quiet area.
If Bubblepaw got any more excited, she'd burst. As it was, she could hardly keep herself from bouncing around in place, shifting her weight quickly from paw to paw, feeling a beaming grin stretch the corners of her face. "Yeah, I'm like, a natural climber," she boasted good-naturedly. "Mama and Daddy are both SkyClan so I got good 'geens,' is what Gramma says! I'm not supersuper great at hunting 'cause I get too excited and step on branches 'n stuff. Scares 'em away. But I'm gonna get better! And I bet you'll be extra great at fishing too! We'll be the greatest hunters in the forest!" At the reminder of Crookedlight, she glanced around the clearing for a while, trying to find him. He was nearby, actually--also around the RiverClan section. Did he have RiverClan friends too?! "He's my uncle's best friend! I thought they were mates but it turned out it was a misunderstanding, and I felt suuuuper embarrassed but it was okay 'cause he said he wasn't mad. He's pretty cool! I, uhh... I don't 'rember everything I said last Gathering. I forget stuff a lot."
A little bit of the light did blink out of her eyes when Pigeonpaw mentioned the foxes. Right, Bubblepaw had brought them up. Stupid of her really. Her giggling grew from light-hearted to slightly nervous. "Right, uh... I'm totally a really good fighter. I wouldn't get scared of seein' blood and I wouldn't run away from foxes or nothing. They're big and scary, but I... they're not that scary!" She didn't believe the words even as she was saying them. The jaws snapping in her face, the blood spurting from its throat, the wounds that Sunfire and Bearpaw carried... She shook her head. Now was a time for happy thoughts! "I mean, it's no big deal, really. I'm not worried for... myself. Just my older brother and my sisters. I mean if they got hurt, then... well. Then I'd be real sad." That one wasn't completely a lie. She really did worry about them. Bearbear could take care of himself, probably, but what if he forgot to? And what about Plover and Sorrel? The smile was gone from her face now, and she caught her eyes darting to the side, wondering if her siblings were around somewhere.

Dovepaw couldn't stop glancing around, like his head was on a permanent swivel. He spotted Pidge bouncing off to speak with some SkyClan she-cat who looked nearly as obnoxious as her. Swanpaw ran off in another direction. His paws itched to follow them, but he knew neither would welcome the intrusion. Besides, he'd only be an irritant anyway. He thought he might've seen a couple of familiar ShadowClan cats out of the corner of his vision, but he refused to double-check, terrified of making eye contact. The previous interaction had been... awkward. Just when he was fearing that he'd be sitting alone and searching the crowds nervously the entire evening, someone did walk up to him. It was Willowpaw. She seemed uncomfortable with the throngs of cats, and must have sought him out of a similar sense of need to what he was feeling. A smile crept onto his face. "Yeah, I don't know how they do it so easily," he agreed. "Last time I tried talking to strangers, I made a complete fish-brain of myself. It was a total mess." He flicked an ear. "We can sit and worry about our siblings together, huh? I'm always happy to talk to you, Willowpaw."
The short, fluffy molly took a deep breath while gazing up at the sky and its big, bright moon. The breeze lightly ruffled her soft fur, but she kept perfectly warm and comfy. Ploverpaw entered the clearing with a calm smile. Things went so well during the last full moon. Pigeonpaw remained bright within her mind despite all the dark events since their meeting. She had hopes for tonight. A nice, well-deserved break for Skyclan.
Bubblepaw had already found Pigeonpaw again, just as she had hoped. Their bubbly, lightning-quick conversation sang sweetly to her ears. Those two are feathers from the same bird. Ploverpaw considered joining her dear, somewhat crabby brother this time, but a grey tabby apprentice had beat her to it. Good, he could use some socializing. If Bearpaw caught her gaze, she would send him a warm, encouraging smile. Remember to be nice. You’ve got this.
She moved along, newly inspired to meet an apprentice of her own. Involuntarily, her nose honed in on that familiar, watery, fish smell. She caught sight of something odd. Past Bearpaw and his friend, at the very edge of the clearing, was a small cat’s white fur glowing in the soft moonlight. They seemed distressed or overwhelmed, all on their own. Concern enveloped Ploverpaw’s expression as she carefully approached the stranger, hoping to lend her some company.
“Hello,” she softly chimed, curiously meeting the young molly’s gaze, and almost taken aback by how mystical her vibrant blue eyes looked. She wanted to ask, Are you alright? but chose to hold her tongue in favor of simply listening.

Tawnyshadow's head jerked up as a familiar voice sounded beside her. Pineblossom... a warrior she had respected since she was a kit, but had only ever shared a brief conversation with before. Was the respectable warrior really talking to her? Had she not heard about Skunkpaw's accident? No, Pineblossom must be too busy with Leopardstar's new policies to have heard Clan news like this. Still, Tawnyshadow wouldn't have expected the brown she-cat to approach her like this.
Pushing herself into a more respectable position, Tawnyshadow dipped her head in greeting. she longed to confide everything in the senior warrior, but she held her tongue. They were in a Gathering, and who knows which Clan would be snooping around. Besides, they weren't close... Pineblossom was probably just asking because, like she said, Tawnyshadow wasn't usually this anti-social. She never really talked with other Clan cats, but she never avoided them, and she always stuck by her clanmates' sides. It was unusual for her to avoid all contact and cause a scene like this... but she couldn't even trust herself with her own kits. What if she was a danger to her clanmates as well? This wasn't her choice... she had to, in order to protect her clanmates.
"I'm fine. Thank you for the concern," The silver tortoiseshell replied. Since they were here, she might as well make friendly conversation... that wasn't about anything that might remind her of her failure as a mother, a mentor and a clanmate. "How about you? Any good news lately?"
Tawnyshadow is talking to Pineblossom Sootstorm is talking to Ambersun, Fennelbreeze and Silverwing Copperlark is trying to keep herself from murdering Cloudychase
Swiftheart went to the gathering with her clan. She stayed close to the blind apprentice and led him along keeping close to him. She rested her tail on his shoulder as he led him to a nice spot that was easier and smoother to walk on. She would give him little whispers of what was ahead, "careful, step up here or "oh, sharp rocks that way lets go this way instead just little things like that observing of details to make his gathering as easy as possible. She liked getting to help her clanmate and it was very in her nature to do something like this really.
Stormwatcher grinned walking in with patchdream and littleflower. He felt like the happiest tom in the world. He glanced over to patchdream catching one of her glares directed at him. He laid his ears back a little but couldnt help but giggle a bit and pawed very gently at her shoulder. "aww, don't worry I promise it will be fun. We can find a quite place in the back and just relax there and take it easy" he suggested. He walked over with them to a cozy looking place and patted the ground with his tail inviting patchdream to sit and let her rest and get her paws up. Her litter was due soon-ish and he wanted this to be a nice and fun evening event. Besides, soon she would be stuck in the nursery for the final weeks of her pregnancy so this was in his mind a good way to let her be out a little before then.
Sprucebark was glad that his apprentice had agreed to come. And even more glad when they wanted to go talk to others and socialize. "ok, thats great!" he purred when Rainpaw said they were going to talk with a thunderclan apprentice.
He looked around for someone to socalize with as well.
Eaglefly looked at all the cats gathered around and felt very unsure of where to go. He wondered where his siblings had already run off too, hopefully jay didnt get into too much trouble.

Kitespring gazed back at Cinderpaw, who seemed a little terrified of the young tom. Kitespring could still understand the feeling; if she had seen a cat tower over her in her second Gathering, she would have been doing the exact same thing Cinderpaw was.
The russet she-cat smiled warmly at Vinepaw. "Well..." she started. "You smell like mouse and vole, mostly. At least, that's what I'm picking up." Maybe she could offer Cinderpaw a chance to speak, which might be able to make her feel less awkward. "What about you, Cinderpaw? What do you think he smells like?"
Kitespring is talking with Cinderpaw and Vinepaw.

Ambersun chuckled at Silverwing's comment. "Yeah, you two really do look cute together," she agreed. The fact they weren't mates was... really surprising, but she took their word for it. "It's nice to meet you two."
It was interesting that Silverwing didn't know them, judging that they were WindClan warriors. They must be pretty young. She couldn't discern a warrior's age just from how they looked, though - looks can be deceiving, after all. "So, how has your day been today?"
Ambersun is talking to Silverwing, Sootstorm, and Fennelbreeze.

Tonight was the Gathering.
Hopefully, it would be one of peace.
Rookfire padded behind Leopardstar, watching the other clans. ShadowClan was the pariah of the forest when Nightstar was their leader, but now they could build relationships with the other clans and start anew.
Scanning the clearing, he noticed a ThunderClan she-cat sitting by herself. "Hey," he said, smiling at her. "My name's Rookfire, from ShadowClan. What's yours?" Hopefully, he could get back to talking with other cats and making conversation with them now that he was less stressed.
Rookfire has approached Sageroot.

Poppycloud didn't like Gatherings.
Perhaps it was the sheer number of cats around that was causing him to panic. Or maybe he just didn't want to do something tonight. Either way, he was here, and he had to push himself out of his comfort zone. I should be doing that.
He stood on the outside of ShadowClan's circle, seeing if anyone wanted to approach him.

Sunfire padded silently behind his mother the entire way to the Gathering, but split off to sit somewhere near the center of the clearing, where he could observe all of his kits from the same spot. To his displeasure, Bubblepaw was already locked in deep, giggly conversation with a non-SkyClan apprentice, and Ploverpaw too found company in the form of a RiverClan apprentice. He watched as another young cat moved to sit beside Bearpaw - his son, at least, looked disgusted at the idea of consorting with the other clans.
The yellow tom exhaled, shaking his head ever so slightly. He'd have to talk to them... it was one thing to be forced into conversation with the other clans, but another to be happy about it. It worried him - friendship blurred the lines of the warrior code, made difficult decisions even harder in times of war and strife. If his children had to face any of their Gathering friends in battle, would they hesitate? It was a thought that made him slick his ears back unhappily as he settled on his belly, just ready for this to be over so they could go home.
Sunfire is very unfriendly and will tell any non-SkyClanner to kick rocks if they approach.

Smokepetal stuck close to SkyClan as they entered the Gathering, not making any attempt to move and sit with the other medicine cats. She sank down next to a few other clanmates that had grouped together and stayed there. (If Firepool is there, she's with him.)
Smokepetal is sticking to herself but will respond if spoken to.

Lichenwing had almost stayed home tonight, but the urge to get out and at least get a nice walk on the way to Fourtrees had been too tempting to turn down. He didn't particularly feel like searching out a conversation partner, so he chose an empty spot near the edge of the clearing and stretched out in the grass with a yawn.
Lichenwing is open to talk to.

A very respectful nod was given Birdstar's way as she lept onto the rock. The look of hidden grief was more than clear to the tortoiseshell, having been unfortunately privy to the loss that had hit the Skyclan leader. Her tail subtly brushed along the much larger feline's flank in solidarity and comfort, but she didn't want to delay much longer. It wouldn't be her news to share or tell, as she wasn't about to bring the sadness of a grieving family to light when it was their family, not hers. Even if Trufflesnap had been a clanmate, those ties were much thinner than those forged by blood. She couldn't bring it in her to think what it would be like to have to cull a family member, and the fear seized her chest for just a moment.
With the two other leaders also joining upon the Great Rock, they both got nods of greeting from Mottlestar as well. She still did her best to avoid Smallstar, though the tension she found in her belly was much less significant than that which had resided at the previous gathering. Now that they were all assembled, though, there was no more hesitation to remain. Stepping forward, her voice called out strong and clear. "Let the gathering begin!" So much had changed since her first time atop the rock, full of a heavy heart and scared of what to say. Now, there was confidence. Strength.
"Thunderclan welcomes many new apprentices this moon. Turtlepaw, Crocuspaw, Vinepaw, Wigglepaw, Greenpaw, Nettlepaw, Fallowpaw, Softpaw, and Sandpaw have all stepped forward to learn the noble ways of the warrior code. We also welcome a new warrior, Flysnap. Thunderclan is thankful for the joy and prosperity this moon has come with, and we continue to uphold our alliance with Skyclan and Riverclan." It felt good to announce the news. With a nod towards the other leaders, she then stepped back, taking her dutiful place next to Perchstar and Birdstar.

Sprucebark wandered around a bit Thunderclan seemed to be doing well which he supposed was good seeing as how close Mottlestar and Perchstar were. As he listened to the announcment of all their new appretnices he spotted Poppycloud and went over to her.
"hello, I'm Sprucebark of Riverclan. Nice to meet you" he meowed in his usual polite tone but quiet so that he wouldnt inturupt whoever leader was going to speak next.

Another gathering. They always arrived so quickly, the calm of the most recent gatherings welcomed. Mothpaw nodded as she accepted the task set by her mentor. Her usual gathering crowd were the other RiverClan apprentices — though it appeared she would have to venture outside of her unit.
“Will do Milk— good luck Iron, see you both later!” The tortoiseshell chirped as she padded away from the small group, her plumed tail in the air.
A cat she didn’t know. That was fine, she knew how to approach other cats…Mothpaw had met a couple of ThunderClan apprentices at her first gathering, wondering quietly how they were. She needed to find someone new…
Mothpaw spotted an unfamiliar cat, hesitant but seemingly open to talk. Her ears perked up, watching as one of her clanmates, Sprucebark, introduced himself. The apprentice approached the pair with a smile, bowing her head quickly,
“Did you have a pleasant walk over?” She asked, “I’m Mothpaw of RiverClan.”
If she was honest, she should have remained in camp. Her body remained sore but the call of duty - that she had to follow her siblings and Clan wherever they went - overruled the strong feeling in her chest. Sorrelpaw’s heart thumped against her chest as she limped into the clearing, suddenly overwhelmed by…Fear. She had become acquainted with the feeling recently, the crowd doing little to calm her. No words came out of her mouth as she desperately sought out her siblings in the gathering crowd. Despite the number of cats she was always able to find her loved ones. Bubblepaw had found Pigeonpaw, the apprentice they had met at the last gathering that reminded her so much of her sister, Ploverpaw with an unfamiliar apprentice; even Bearpaw was talking to an unfamiliar cat. Would her siblings want her to join? Every thought she had was second guessed, feeling uncomfortable.
Breathe, you don’t want to make a fool of yourself in front of the other Clans.
Sorrelpaw let out a deep sigh before she straightened her posture and rose her head, glancing amongst the crowd to pick out any other pelts she knew; finding her father’s golden form tucked away with a face like thunder. She would be safe with him.
“You look like you’re happy to be here, dad.” Sorrelpaw laughed softly, settling beside her father, “there’s so many cats here— big ones. I feel like there’s even more than the last gathering.” It felt good to rest after the walk to the Fourtrees.
Nettlepaw couldn’t wait to splinter off from the ThunderClan cats, practically scrambling to the centre of the clearing. He craned his head around the gathered crowd, grinning to himself. How cool! There were so many scents, so many cats gathered…Hey, that’s why they called it a gathering! Nettlepaw beamed to himself as he thought, glancing around. A crowd of unfamiliar faces, some that he decided were best to avoid, others that undeterred him.
“Hey!” The ginger apprentice announced as he chose cats to approach, adjusting his voice’s excitable volume as he continued with a grin, “Nettlepaw— that’s me, ThunderClan apprentice! What’s your names?”
Mothpaw has approached Poppycloud and Sprucebark! Sorrelpaw is talking to Sunfire Nettlepaw has approached Swanpaw and Duskpaw but is open to any conversations!
