September Gathering 2016

Ashstar walked into Fourtrees, leading WindClan behind her. It felt odd to be back here again. There were still spots of blood on the grass that reminded her of friends she'd lost. But looking up at the moon comforted her. StarClan had made her a leasfet, and she was going to do Sablestar proud. She got up on thee Great Rock, side still aching, and gazed at the stars. Thank you, StarClan.

Lionpaw pranced into the Gathering. His first one! This is where he would make his secret besdt friend who would come with him on a long, exciting journey. Or where he would meet his beautiful forbidden mate. He didn't know which yet. His fluffy ginger tail lashed impatiently on the ground, waiting for the other Clans.

Falconstone quietly followed Ashstar into the Gathering. Quiet. Quiet was one way to describe the once bubbly warrior.

Heatherpaw quietly padded in behind Ashstar. A gentle but satisfied smile was drawn across her face - her first Gathering!

Sandypaw padded into fourtrees beside Falconstone, eyes wide taking in everything. This was her first gathering and she was excited to see and meet cats from other clans without having to fight. It looked like they were the first ones there so she looked around waiting for the other clans to arrive.

Nightheart walked intoFoutrees alongside her clan, her head and tail held high. The last time she was there she had only been an apprentice, but even then she had managed to defeat one of the Dark Forest ghosts alongside other two apprentices, something she couldn’t help but feel proud of it. The memory of her mother, who died in that same place only one moon ago, and her lost sister that she couldn’t find regardless for how long she had been searching, caused her to feel a lump in her throat and an invisible weight pressing against her chest, but that didn’t stop her.

Smokepelt padded next to Ashstar, a weird happy feeling inside of him. This would be his first gathering as Deputy and for the first time in forever, he was actually excited to mingle. Of course he wished his father was with him, but the tom knew that what happened to Icestorm happened for a reason and sulking wouldn't help the situation. After what seemed like ages, StarClan was finally home and every cat could relax. No more fighting, no more death, just an odd state of peace. Looking behind him, he was glad to see Sandypaw keeping up with the patrol. Quite a few apprentices were coming for the very first time and the deputy was happy to see WindClan thriving, no matter how small in numbers they were this Leaf-fall.

Cinderpaw padded into Fourtrees, following her leader and Clanmates. This would be her second Gathering, but she knew that this one would be a lot more peaceful.

Emberpaw entered Fourtrees behind her Clan, it wasn't her fault that she hadn't had her warrior name yet. Though she felt so, tiny. It wasn't Ashstar's or Smokepelt's either, she had just though the gathering had gotten in the way.

Leopardfang trotted into the clearing at a steady pace, leading ShadowClan behind him. The sight of the bloodied clearing brought forth a large wave of emotions, some good and some bad. But he wouldn't let the reaction show on his face and he stayed as stony as usual in front of the rival clans. Perhaps they were friends tonight, but they might be enemies tomorrow if he didn't keep his guard up. The spotted tom crossed the open space in a few long strides and pulled himself to the top of the Great Rock in a single graceful bound. Leopardfang dipped his head to Ashstar, politely but not unkindly.

Mousepaw followed his clan, the small tom pushing past his own clanmates to get a better look at the tall oaks and the leader already atop the huge rock in the middle. He hadn't met the other clans yet, and now was the time to show them that he wasn't to be messed with. He proudly stalked across the clearing, pompously sitting down in a wide open area where he could see and be seen.

Tigerflower looked tiredly after her son as he strode off with that vain attitude that he always had. Whatever. He was too old to be her responsibility anymore, so she just found a secluded area and perched herself in a nice, comfy patch of clover. The she-cat had decided to stay in the nursery and help out the other queens. She owed it to look after her clanmates after she'd recklessly thrown away their trust. Now her clan was all young queen had and, fortunately, all that she wanted.

It was wonderful to be leading her clan again, and it was surprising to Darkstar that this would be the first time that she'd actually led her clan from their own camp to the clearing. But when she walked over the edge of the rise, the bloodstains seemed fresh for a moment, just as they had been last moon. She looked up and away from them, setting her yellow gaze on the swelling moon and the glistening stars. It appeared that Starclan was happy. The tri-limbed leader hopped onto the Great Rock. "Evening," she purred to Leapordfang and Ashstar, honestly cheerful as ever.


What was she supposed to do?

Spiderfur dragged her paws on her way to Fourtrees, thinking deeply. She'd come to keep an eye on her appentices, both of whom were a pawful to deal with, and to possibly see... someone again. Why did she want to see him anyway? His clan killed her brother, for Starclan's sake! Maybe he could explain what happened to Kestrelstorm. Why he had to die. And possibly explain why two apprentices claimed to be his children. Her niece and nephew. She turned her head to watch Falconstone for a moment, knowing what he was feeling. Grief. Maybe a bit of anger. But at who? Shadowclan, for killing him, or Kestrelstorm, for betraying them all? Things were all too complicated.

Blacktwig padded in after Darkstar, gaze light and happy. The young warrior glanced at the cats around him, seeming a mouse-length away from his shoulders. He spotted Emberpaw across the clearing. He couldn't help that the way he looked at the calico she-cat was friendly and warm; perhaps too welcoming, to say the least. This was the first gathering she'd been to, and this was his second. A purr began to rise in his throat, yet he made good use of it, averting his gaze away from Emberpaw. "Good evening," he purred inadvertently, tail-tip flickering. He was glad to have a chance to hear the other Clans' news without violence.

Ashstar nodded back to Leopardfang. She tried not to look too friendly, but the spark in her eyes thanked him for his help in the past two moons. She also dipped her head to Darkstar, keeping an eye out for Frozenflame.

Shimmerheart limped into the Gathering with her Clan, resting her tired old body next to a smooth rock. Maybe someone would want to talk. She looked happily up at Leopardfang. All was right again in the forest.

Freckleface padded in with ShadowClan, casting a wary glance at the other cats, many of whom she knew had been allied with the Dark Forest. Who could she trust anymore? It was disquieting.

The grey tom sat down at the foot of the tree, looking up to his mother who took her place next to Darkstar and Leopardfang. Seeing the ShadowClan tom made him want to howl, remembering how he ordered another tom to injured Lightfoot and caused Icestorm to get run over. Those fox-heart ShadowClan cats... Starting to get worked up, he was brought back to the present when Spiderfur and Cedarfur passed by him. The two of themlooked miserable, and he wished that he could help in some way. Both her and Cedarfur were grieving Kestrelstorm's death, even though the tom betrayed the clan. Although he had hard feelings toward's his uncle's son, he knew it was hard to lose a family member, no matter who they were.

For Cedarfur, the usual peppy and kit-like tom, he sulked into the gathering, sitting down next to Spiderfur. Originally, he didn't want to leave Kestrelstorm's grave, but in the end, Smokepelt convinced him to go. It broke the older tom that his son, a cat who'd always been bitter towards him had to have such a death like he did, and he wished that they were able to make amends before he joined StarClan, or wherever cats like him went. Turning to his daughter, he forced himself to hold a small smile upon his muzzle, although it probably made him look even more depressed. "I guess we both feel the same about Kestrelstorm?" he meowed, nudging her on the cheek and letting out a faint purr.

Padding into the gathering, Mudfoot followed his clan and wondered where or who to talk to. So far, it was only ShadowClan and WindClan who'd arrived, and he wasn't a big fan of WindClan cats at the moment, so he decided to go sit by himself for the time being. It seemed as though WindClan finally chose a new Deputy, and he had to admit, as much as the grey tom tried to look confident, it was obvious that he was the least bit ready. Letting out a small scoff, Mudfoot looked around for cats he knew.

Redfeather strode into the Gathering behind Leapordfang. He could feel it in the air, the grime and darkness of the last Gathering was gone. StarClan had returned, and at long last, he felt like he was attending a real Gathering. And his first one as a warrior!

Mosspaw padded into the Gathering after Darkstar. This was her first one, after all, and she couldn't have been more excited. The scent of all the Clans, the forest and the night all mingling, it made her - quite simply - happy. She took a seat next to Blacktwig, her eyes shining in wonder.
