Sorrelfern was dazed from the tom's aggressive actions. Not that she could particularly blame him. It was only fair in battle after all. You did what it took to win, that was something she always followed, and maybe that is why she landed in the dark forest. She shook her head trying to get rid of the dizziness that clouded her mind.
Vixenstar hissed as she felt claws sink into her belly, inhaling inward in an attempt to mask the pain. Perchfall was quick to retaliate as well, finally recovered from the stun she’d been put under. That’s alright… She wouldn’t last long. Not if Vixenstar had anything to do with it. Leaping forward, she pinned and held the former deputy to the ground, trying to keep her from doing further damage. Poppyshine was still on her tail, but she wasn’t as strong, and the less damage she took, the better.
Vixenstar used Leap and Hold, dealing -10 Health Points and using -15 Stamina Points. Perchfall is pinned for one turn.
Poppyshine wished that she had more experience in battle so she could do more damage. Vixenstar had her mentor pinned down and she wanted to help, but there was nothing she could do at the moment but slash her claws and hope for the best. Poppyshine was not one who enjoyed pain, but she would gladly take Vixenstar’s claws if it meant that Perchfall wouldn’t be quite so hurt.
Poppyshine used Front Paw Strike, dealing 8 damage and costing 7 SP!
Perchfall grunted slightly as she was knocked to the ground again, this time with the full weight of Vixenstar on top of her. The shadowy she-cat's claws dug deep into her shoulders, and the smell of death was stronger than ever with its source so close. The scent that had haunted the forest for two moons now... Come on, Perchfall. You can do this. Two against one, it shouldn't even be hard. Please. Renewed determination flaring in her eyes, the gray and white she-cat moved in a surge of energy, rolling to the side in an attempt to throw her opponent off. She managed to catch Vixenstar off guard, and scrambled to her feet, feeling the other cat's weight tumble swiftly to the ground. Pride flashed through her for a moment. You can't pin me down that easily. She and Poppyshine could do this.
Perchfall used Duck-and-Twist successfully, ending the pin and dealing 7 damage, costing 5 stamina.
The tom was able to get up and went on talking again. He was really starting to aggravate her. "I would never join those cowards in StarClan!" she snapped, "Honor doesn't mean anything when you're fighting for your life!" Vinethorn felt a tear in her ear, and she flung a paw toward the gray tabby. All the fury that had been built up over the years of solitude was released, now that she could finally get revenge for the crimes in her past.
Her claws met squarely on the she-cat's neck, opening a large gash. Blood poured from the wound and Vinethorn looked on in satisfaction as the life disappeared from her eyes. "What's one more riverclanner's blood on my paws," she growled in the dying cat's ear. Vinethorn turned back to her other attacker, a wicked smile on her face. She had almost forgotten what it felt like to kill.
Vinethorn used Killing Strike, taking all of Hollyleaf's HP and costing 10 SP!
Vinethorn 63/100 HP 112/180 SP (-10)
Hollyleaf (dead) 0/53 HP (-9) 52/120 SP
Owlshriek 19/40 HP 95/100 SP
(occ note: Arcana and I discussed this beforehand)
Blinding, hot, immense pain as the wound on her neck began to grow. At first, it felt not so major. Until what once thought was just a slash — turned out to be a killing strike. Blood kept spilling from her wound, in such large and quick amounts that she couldn't even keep track of how much longer she'd be able to keep it up.
Oh.
Then, she realized it. What had been done. This wasn't just an ordinary attack no longer — it was meant to be vile, alarming, and to end her life. Her footing began to collapse as Hollyleaf's balance was lost, and she'd gasp, though even that pained her. I'm dying, aren't I? Though her whole body stung with pain, and through shaky breaths, she attempted to be able to spot her friends — even if it was her last time.
Owlshriek, Poppyshine, Perchfall, and all of my friends...Thank you.
Her eyes struggled to keep themselves open. Her lips moved, though no sound came out, but her own thoughts to herself. I believe in you, Owlshriek. You won't disappoint me, no matter what.
Her vision blurred, and Hollyleaf closed her eyes. Her ears struggled to make out any further sounds, and they seemed to have failed in with the collapse of her body. The determination shining in her eyes once so clear now were blurred, and instead lifeless. With her very last energy, the warrior, though very faintly — smiled, hoping that it'll reach Owlshriek.
I've done my very best, haven't I? It's my time to go now, and I ask you to keep fighting. For our clan, our kins, and the honor of defeating the Dark Forest cats, once and for all.
The carnage that had rapidly unfolded with the sacrifices of his clanmates had caught him massively off guard, and he stared blankly out as the Dark Forest occupants began tearing down his clanmates, using moves he had learned from Vixenstar during his apprenticeship to Jaystar. Jaystar, his former mentors name made his throat constrict a little, reflecting on his sudden absence that left Perchfall and Vixenstar fumbling for control over the ever-weakening clan. He watched from afar as RiverClan began to fall, the strength of those he was somewhat allied with beating them into the ground without a chance to get more than a few hits in. Somewhere nearby, a molly he scarcely knew fell to a killing blow from a Dark Forest warrior, and something in Aspenblaze's brain finally clicked. What am I doing? He thought to himself as he watched the crimson blood pool around her, leaving her clanmate to fight their adversary alone. And of course, he noted, it had to be Jaystar's son.
Shaking out his ginger fur, he streaked forward and tried to remember the training he had undergone with both his physical and spiritual mentors. He jumped on one side of Vinethorn, before immediately feigning back and throwing himself into the putrid warrior's flank.
Aspenblaze has used Dishonourable Discharge, dealing 8 damage and using 20SP. Vinethorn is now stunned for 2 turns.
With his opponent briefly dazed, Sparkfrost shot forward again. He'd never been one for fighting but this was a cause far greater than himself, and his opponent had proven to be an exciting one. This time he aimed for the stomach... a risky blow but quite possibly rewarding. Thankfully, it worked in her current state. If only Jaystar could see him now! The old one, not the missing one, and he probably could. Starlord then. If only Starlord could see him now. Sparkfrost grinned before bounding back once again.
Sparkfrost attempted to use Belly Rake, using 25 stamina. It was... successful, dealing 20 (+2) damage.
Sparkfrost HP: 42/80 SP: 118/170
Sorrelfern HP: 51/100 SP: 136/180

With his orders given, Greynose nodded uncertainly. He wasn't sure just how much strength his mentor had in this form but he knew how strong the Dark Forest was. Eyes scanning the battlefield once more he saw one of the Starclan cats fall, and his dread only rose... regardless he'd listen to her, in the end, she was, well, teach' he had to trust she'd hold out.
Though last time he did that, she didn't.
Shaking the thought off he huffed... She'd be fine, he'd be fine, and if they weren't, he'd have to deal with it in the end regardless of what he wanted.
Eyes narrowing back to their soldier-like intensity, he stalked up behind the cat Sparkfrost was fighting... And then struck out. Lurching forward his teeth sunk into the phantom's leg, aiming right for the tendon.

[ Greynose used Snap dealing 7 damage and costing 7 SP ]
Dewlight's eyes widened as she released the tom and stepped back, not liking the look in his eyes. Shaking it off quickly she lurched forward, swatting at his face, hoping to smack the alarming expression right off of his face. Her strike seemed to have more power behind it than it previously had...
Dewlight used Front Paw Strike, dealing 10 (+2) damage and costing 7 SP.
Vixenstar didn’t have a ton of time left, she could tell. The stars grew brighter as she grew weaker… And she watched as the cat she had personally trained turned on them, abandoning his training and aiding the Clan cats. Disgust grew and eventually boiled over, but the she-cat quickly turned her focus back to the battle. Perchfall was equally as exhausted and beaten down, so now was her chances. With extended claws, she reached out and battered the soft flesh exposed beneath the she-cat’s belly. If Vixenstar timed and placed this blow just right, it should take her out, leaving only Poppyshine.
Vixenstar successfully used Belly Rake, dealing -20 Health Points and using -25 Stamina Points. Perchfall has been KOed!
