Smallbean's stomach turned the moment a yowl broke out across the camp. He didn't have to ask what was happening, he imagined this scene in his head many times already. Immediately he pulled himself from his nest and turned to his herb piles. 'No no no no no no I'm not ready for this.' He fumbled with the leaves, his paws notably more clumsy than they were earlier in the day. A yowl from the den entrance caught his attention. He spared a quick glance behind him and, too his horror, saw Wolfstar attacking Cloverpaw. For a moment anger burned in his eyes, briefly blocking out his fear. How dare Wolfstar, a leader who had received power from Starclan, attack a cat who was so obviously untrained to defend herself, and a medicine cat at that. He resisted the urge to turn around and sink his claws into Wolfstar's pelt, having to tell himself that he had already upset Starclan enough and that he didn't need to go breaking the medicine cat code too. Some warrior would surely come to Cloverpaw's rescue.

The fight moved past the den, and he took the chance to burst out into the camp. His eyes met chaos and bloodshed, it seemed as if every cat was already fighting. It made him sick to his stomach. Even so, he knew he had to help the only way he could. Staying exactly where he stood, he raised himself to sit on his haunches in order to get a look of the crowd. He felt so vulnerable with his belly exposed, but he needed to see what cats needed treatment. He could take a few hits, others might not.

Amberfluff hissed, finally getting herself re-balanced as a paw struck her on her side. Before she attacked back, though, she spotted a familiar pelt falling to the ground, and all thought of battling left her.

Lilacstar.

Standing over her dead body, Amberfluff saw the Medicine Cat of SkyClan. She guessed that she couldn't be surprised-this was a cat who was certainly more vicious than a Medicine Cat should be. And she just killed Lilacstar.

Amberfluff lashed out at her current opponent, working to free herself from the battle so she could go and check on Lilacstar. She moved herself into the crowd, running away from her previous opponent and straight towards Lilacstar and Beechface.

Amberfluff used Fight and Flee, doing 10 HP of damage and using 15 SP! Amberfluff attempts to flee the battle! It succeeds! ((OOC note: While the wrong dice was rolled, a staff member confirmed that it was okay.))

Willowdance yelped out loud as a claw snagged itself onto her fur. She had tried to stay out of battle, but now it seems that battle has found her. "N-No, I'm just trying to keep my kits safe here-" She exclaimed, batting back with a sheathed paw at her attacker.

Nighthaze was panting now, fighting was a lot. Whoever this was, he may've picked a fight he can't win. Beginning to panic, he snapped at his opponent's leg, trying to slow down some of the patented Windclan speed. Starclan please let both him and this Windclan cat survive! This fight was getting out of paw!

Nighthaze used Snap, dealing 7 - 1 (6) damage, and using 7 stamina!

Bumblepaw shook in his pelt. He needed to fight, pounce, run, slash, bite- something! Represent his clan well! Alas, instead of jumping into battle like his clanmates, he stood, shivering, off to the side. He was wide eyed, blanching at the sight before him; cats everywhere, yowling bloody murder as blood and fur flew everywhere.

Cats were being hurt. Cats were dying. And all Bumblepaw could do was watch.

Suddenly feeling a fire within him, a desire to prove himself, the young apprentice rounded on a young-looking flame point watching the carnage alongside him. He was of WindClan blood, Bumblepaw could smell. SkyClan’s target was WindClan.

Bumblepaw should scream, yowl and scratch. He should spit and kick. He should rip this WindClan cat to shreds for what his clan did. It’s what Wolfstar wants of him.

But… Bumblepaw can’t do it. Cant commit. Instead, he rounds on the apprentice with a soft, barely-clawed swipe. “I don’t want to hurt you!” He cried as he flinched from the impact. ”I’m supposed to hurt you but I don’t want to!”

Bumblepaw uses Front Paw Strike, costing 6 in stamina (due to the medicine cat buff), and 5 in damage (Due to the Moor Runner Buff.

"Are you stupid or what!? We didnt know who he was. He lied, and he made his fur black! We would not have so willingly accepted a cat we'd been warned about." Brookpaw growled, preparing to spring. This naive little apprentice was getting on her last nerves.

"If you didn't want to fight then why are you here!? Clearly, your Clan has zero regard for the warrior code. Your leader attacked a medicine cat apprentice for no reason!" The rosy cream she-cat hissed. "SkyClanners really are cowards, huh? You can't even stand up for your own morals!" Lashing out, she raked claws down Rainypaw's shoulder, careful to remember the training Downtuft had taught her. anticipate their movements.

As much as he hated to admit, the cat did have a point. Newtpaw could have easily stayed home with Maplepaw instead of trudging all the way out here for a Clan that didn't want him. He had plenty of reasons he needed to fight, though. Again, Muddyleap struck him, pulling him out of his thoughts, and the apprentice released his hold on his leg to stagger back. His amber eyes were full of fire as he looked at his opponent, wondering if there was anything he could do to sway him.

Of course. He'd do exactly what he was good at.

With a huff, he let his head hang, focused on making his legs shake. He took a few wobbly steps closer, made looking up to glare into Muddyleap's eyes seem like the hardest thing he'd ever done. With a cough, he forced his mew into a rasp, "I got– I got family to protect. I'm fightin' for them, I don't wanna get maimed." A well-timed, if dramatic, stumble. For extra effect, he exaggerated his already-quick breathing into a harsh, labored pant. "You guys're the ones who protected Dawnhawk," rough mew, body quivering like was going to faint, "So I gotta... I gotta... fight'ya." And just like that, he fell into the dirt.

He hoped it was convincing enough. He'd never had to get some random, battle-hungry cat to believe he was mortally wounded. There was no guarantee he would even be spared– the cat could kill him then and there, slash his throat to make sure he finished the job. Newtpaw shuddered and held his breath, letting his eyes close.

One, two, three... how long did he lay there? It felt like moons had passed when it had barely even been a heartbeat, but he was already bored of laying down. Claws flashing and spit flying, he shot off the ground, dragging his claws against Muddyleap's side.

Muddyleap blinked as the apprentice started to gasp, tilting his head as the apprentice claimed he didn't want to be maimed. ...Who in WindClan would ever maim him? ...Well, a name bubbled to Muddyleap's mind but he quickly pushed it down as the apprentice continued before collapsing. The warrior shook his head, baffled by everything. "Dawnhawk isn't even here!" he groaned, pushing back on paws as he gave a head roll, shaking his head. "We didn't want this fight, we didn't want to fight ya but you are the ones who came here..." he paused, noticing that the apprentice hadn't moved. "...You okay?" he questioned, pushing himself to his paws and took a step forward - just in time for Newtpaw to make a leap at him. Muddyleap simply blinked, jumping to the side as he dodged it with grace and stuck out a back paw to try to trip the apprentice as he sailed past. While he failed to trip the apprentice, he simply smiled at him. "That was a smart move! I'm pretty fast thought."

Muddyleap used Dodge and Fight, negating the last attack and costing 15 stamina. Attempted to counter attack and failed.

The Windclan she-cat spotted something behind Birdsong, and the slender tabby watched as her expression changed. Suddenly, she darted past her, claws flashing out. Birdsong hissed as blood dripped from the wounds, but the she-cat didn't seem interested in fighting anymore. Birdsong turned to follow her movements and froze, eyes widening in horror.

Beechface stood over a fallen Windclanner, bloodied... And her expression was something truly frightening. The medicine cat had a temper, was irritable and standoffish... But Birdsong had never seen an expression like that on her face before, unless it had to do with Dawnhawk.

The Windclanner wasn't moving.

Birdsong backed towards the edge of camp, eyes flicking around wildly.

Ashfall would've cocked an eyebrow if she had any. "Here to protect your kits? Well, where are they? If you wanted to protect them, you would be fighting with them. Not staying out of battle. Take them, and go home!" Ashfall, at this point, hoped this sorry cat would just leave. She seemed scared, the least Ashfall could do was try and get in this cat's head and get her to retreat. For a little extra incentive, Ashfall snapped at the intruder, trying to not injure her too badly. This cat was dragged in by Skyclan, clearly. She was a mother as well, no reason to hurt her too badly. Nobody had to die tonight.

Swiftspirit grimaced as the dark Skyclanner's fang snapped at her leg, stumbling a step befire managing to regain her balance. She lunged for him with unsheathed claws, though was moving slower than she would have liked.

Lilacstar gasped as she felt jaws clamp around her neck. This medicine cat had some serious anger issues, she was actually killing her! She could feel her legs give out from under her, weakening as she could no longer hold her own weight. Red liquid pooled around her, and the sounds of battle around her began to feel distant, as though her head were being held underwater. She couldn't breathe, and her vision was starting to go dark.

And then she was out. While she appeared to be dead, her body was taking time to heal, at least the wounds that were life threatening. As for when she would wake up? Well, that would depend on when StarClan got over their attitude since she sort of attacked a medicine cat. But Wolfstar STILL STARTED IT! Geez, she just couldn't catch a break.

Lilacstar is KOed

Nighthaze was only getting weaker, but wouldn't stop fighting, not to protect his family. He heard his brother's words as he fought, he didn't want to fight. So Nighthaze had to fight for him! He wouldn't let Windclan descend on his brother so easily! With a snarl, Nighthaze flopped to his side, kicking out his hind paws in a vicious attempt to end this fight here and now. His claws dug into the soft belly flesh, leaving a red trail where they traveled. He quickly scrambled back to his paws, getting into a defensive stance.

Nighthaze used Belly Rake successfully, dealing 9 damage and using 15 stamina!
