"...Help?" Zinnia asked, incredulous. She rolled back to her paws, fixing the starry leader with a stare, a mixture of distrust and cautious curiosity. I don't need you to tell me whether or not I'm good, she thought, but didn't dare to voice those thoughts. She was taking a risk, she knew - if this cost her her life, or her clanmates, then that burden would fall on her. Still, she stood her ground, not backing down but not daring to attack. "Why would you - why now, after everything, should I believe anything you say? What do you mean by help?"

Zinnia does not attack, this turn, instead waiting for an answer.

Sunspark hadn't expected to have been attacked so soon, especially with tensions as high as they were with other members of the Righteous Few. That's why Ivystar's attack knocked him off guard, hissing in pain as his belly was torn open by the grey she-cat. Blood dripped from his stomach, the gashes not deadly but deep enough to hurt significantly. Quick on his feet, he whipped around to face his attacker and lunged forward without a second thought. He didn't particularly enjoy fighting, but he really had no choice here. He was no coward. Claws unsheathed, he reared up onto his hind legs and clawed at Ivystar's face.

Panic. Chaos had erupted from every side of the clearing, and Freckleface couldn't find Flintstar anywhere in the fray. "F-Flintstar!" She yowled, looking around as battles ensued on each of her sides. She didn't know what to do- Obviously, she had to defend her Clan, but everyone seemed to be caught up in their own battles... Except for one star-pelted cat. She charged towards him, recognizing him as the one who'd spoken to Spottedstar about... Something. Despite her small size, she leaped on top of him and pinned him down, hoping someone would come to help her out.

Freckleface used Leap-and-Hold, dealing -9 damage and using -4 Stamina Points. Night Finesse is active, granting another -2 Health Points. Owlstar is stunned for 1 turn.

Cypressflame growled as Goldengale recovered so quickly, though she supposed it wasn't too surprising, given the she-cat was descended from the two most agile clans.  The large warrior prepared to meet her attack head-on, dashing in to grab the warrior's foreleg in her jaws, but suddenly she was above her.  Eyes glowing with fury, she tried to dodge again but was too slow, and yowled as she felt claws dig into her broad back.  She feinted, dropping to the ground, but turned up onto her back in a flash and dug her hind claws into the warrior's thin belly flesh, leaving deep wounds.  Slithering out from underneath, she readied herself for the next attack.

Tanglepaw’s yellow eyes widened, and it felt like all of the wind was knocked out of her. She had never seen true battle before… was this normal? The fear, the rush of adrenaline? Was this what it meant to be a warrior? The fear was warping inside her, twisting and crying out as it faltered. Her wiry, enormous pelt reached greater size and prickled as her claws extended. She would die if she did not fight, so fight she would. She spotted a gleaming pelt in the dead of night and threw herself wildly at it, screaming with the strength of an owl.

It was only after she made contact that she realized two things: that she had knocked the wind out of the starry leader of SkyClan, and that she was not actually alone in her assault. "Oh! Freckleface!" she shouted, half in shock and half in concern. She was gripping the leader's back like an infant possum. "Uh... you're doing great! Hang on! I've got it!"

Mouth opened in shock, Smallbean stared across Fourtrees, watching the battle escalate. What did he expect when he came to this gathering? Cats had been wanting revenge for their loved ones for a few moons now. It didn't seem like it was that long, but it was surely long enough for cats to start a rebellion and get angry enough about the loss of loved ones to fight back. Deep down, he knew this had to happen for the cats of the forest to have freedom, but this was all too much for him. All around him was fighting, battle cries, and yowls of pain. He'd never been in a battle as big as this before, or any battle besides small skirmishes, and he wish he'd have never gone to this gathering.

He backed up a few steps, trying to find out what he was going to do. He knew he probably didn't have any kind of an advantage in this fight. His gaze landed on a bush that he could hide in. He thought about making a beeline for it- that was until he heard Larkflight call for his help. He turned to her and found her fighting one of the Righteous few. Immediately he rushed up beside her and stood on his haunches before bringing all of his weight down on his opponent with unsheathed claws. He looked Larkflight over. She seemed to be okay.

Robinloft weaved through the turmoil, constantly dodging claws and teeth from nearby fights. She'd never been in a situation like this, nor did she ever think that she would have to be. Though the signs were clear, she'd always tried ignoring them, just to make it seem like things were better than they actually were. She's always tried to keep a smile for the ones around her, but now was not the time for smiles and laughter. Now was the time to take back freedom! The time to show these Righteous few what happens when they kill when it's not necessary! Her eyes narrowed and a growl rose into her throat. She needed to help in this war. She needed to fight!

She quickly scanned the crowd, trying to find some cat that could use her help. It wasn't long until she found what smelled like a Windclan warrior, one she'd definitely seen before at a previous gathering, fighting a Starclan cat by herself. Knowing what she needed to do, Robinloft jumped into battle with a mighty yowl. She leaped into the Starclan cat, pushing as much weight onto them as she could muster to knock them over. She jumped off of them with a triumphant grin, but this battle wasn't over yet.

Viperpaw didn't even think about it, as the fighting began to erupt around her. Flintstar was in the fray, and she had to fight at his side. For their mother. For the entire forest and the insult these starry monsters had hurled at them all. The apprentice darted forward, feeling confident in that she had some of the best cats around her on her side. Her claws were ready, and she thrilled in the feeling of them raking over Brackenstar's pelt.

Ferretdance's first instinct after watching Morningpaw fall was to run over to Olivestone and join in her fight, but before he could, he noticed an apprentice clinging to the back of one of the Righteous Few. Changing course, he headed for Owlstar. The apprentices were the most vulnerable  cats here, many of them in their very first real fight. He felt it his duty to help protect them, no matter Clan. As the young warrior got closer, he reared up onto his back legs, using his long forelimbs to claw at Owlstar's face.

As SkyClan gave their response to Owlstar’s ultimatum, Raventail bristled. Though he was suddenly glad Spottedstar hadn’t chosen to fight alongside the Righteous Few, there was no other way he could see it: Spottedstar had turned his back on the forest. When Raventail glanced at the departing crowd, however, he realized there were stragglers—no, some of them had chosen to stay. Then Lavenderbreeze spoke, and he whipped around in time to see the duel. At first, Morningpaw seemed to have the upper paw. She ran circles around the starry warrior, unbalancing her with a well-placed strike—proof that these cats could be hurt, could be defeated. Then Lavenderbreeze latched on to her tail. Raventail often forgot Morningpaw was still an apprentice, but he could remember nothing else as he watched Lavenderbreeze’s paws come down. Morningpaw fell, and she was quiet.

The clearing erupted. Olivestone launched herself at Lavenderbreeze. All throughout Fourtrees, the Righteous Few found themselves met with challengers of every rank from every Clan. His Clanmates didn’t need an order, but as Aspenheart shouted his name, tugging Softpaw to safety among the other medicine cats, Raventail gave one in a yowl so loud it tore at his plague-worn throat: ”WindClan! Attack!”

Once he’d stopped coughing, he leaped down from the Great Rock. As the crowd surged around him, he caught sight of the black-and-white tom who’d announced the Righteous Few’s presence fighting an older ThunderClan warrior. Compared to Lavenderbreeze and Galestar, Badgerstar hadn’t done much to personally wrong WindClan—but he was as much StarClan as the others, and that was reason enough. Letting out another pained yowl, Raventail charged headlong at the larger tom.

Raventail used Jumping Strike on Badgerstar, dealing 15 damage and using 14 stamina.

Those herb bundles should hold everything that we may need, I just hope we have enough. We should secure an area, then the strongest of us can run out to bring the worst injured in from battle." She aided Softpaw and Aspenheart, looking over her shoulder to Spiderquill and Mothglow. "Will you come as well?" She asked, looking between the two.

Goldengale staggered as sharp claws dug into the soft skin at her belly, but took a moment to steady herself before squaring herself back against the she-cat before her. These fleas had harmed her grandkit, and her family, there was going to be no restraint. Returning the favor, she slid under her belly and sliced upwards, trying to dig her claws in as deep as possible.

Galestar straightened, looking at the she-cat as she paused. Hmm, she had actually listened. Immediately, her expression shifted again, and her attention seemed to be focused on something farther than Zinnia, another point in the battle perhaps. Her voice was soft, hardly a whisper as she didn't meet the she-cat's eyes. "There's more to the stars than what every cat seems to think. Tensions are high. Maybe, just maybe...." She trailed off as her face darkened slightly, concentrating.

Olivestone had been long past the need for an order to attack, and she flinched as Lavenderbreeze's claws raked her, one of the claws splitting the bridge of her nose. As blood poured out of the wound, she reared up and raked her claws all the way down the ghost-cat's back.

Aspenleaf glared at the clan cats as chaos erupted around her. They were trying to attack their own ancestors! Couldn't they see that she and the Righteous Few were trying to help them by clearing all the impure blood that had contaminated their ranks? Shaking her head, she prepared to charge into the fray when suddenly a sharp pain erupted from her tail. Hissing, she twisted to look at her attacker. The apprentice hadn't done much harm, barely moving her. She bared her teeth and spat, "You ungrateful mouse-brains! Can't you see we're doing you a favor?" Angrily, she tugged her tail out of the apprentice's hold.

Aspenleaf is no longer stunned.

Zinnia waited patiently for Galestar to finish whatever strange ritual she was partaking in, looking around to see if her earlier companions had followed. Could this end with less bloodshed? Wouldn't that be ideal?

She stayed her paws, for now, if only to bide her time. If what Galestar was trying to accomplish turned out to be harmful, she would take the blame - she, and she alone - but if it wasn't... If she was true to her word of wanting to help...

Well. It was a risk worth taking, wasn't it?

Mothglow nodded silently to Mossbloom, the fight bringing back memories she wanted to forget. Blood, dogs - the violent assaults on kin and clan and strangers - and then the war, watching as her clanmates fought amongst themselves more than the enemy, as they lost, as her mother took the life of an apprentice - an accident - and gave her own in turn--

She shook her head, trying to focus on the task at paw; they had to move the already-injured to the herbs, had to set up an emergency medicine den of sorts, and then she would panic. When everything was a little more under control.

Still, it took all she had to keep herself together, to follow instructions with shaky steps and a shakier voice.

Larchneedle watched as WindClan's feeble half-Clan medicine cat apprentice came scrabbling towards him, shrieking at him to stop. Blood dripped off the tips of his claws as he took a lazy step back. He laughed, cold and cruel, as Softpaw tripped and stumbled to the ground in front of him, collapsing into the moonlit earth with tears streaming down her face. The starry ShadowClan cat's eyes glittered with malice. He was startled when Softpaw's forepaws reached out and grasped him around the ankle, his russet fur bristling along his spine. He shot her a look of disgust similar to the one he'd given Spiderquill and jerked his paw back and out of her touch, spitting as he backed away, "Don't touch me, half-Clan crowfood."

A RiverClan apprentice darted forward from the crowd then, pushing himself between Larchneedle and the medicine cats, and Larchneedle gave the tom a bored look. Yeah, of course this little rogue-born furball was going to act like he mattered - everyone in the clearing was. Behind him, the ShadowClan cat could hear his peer Lavenderbreeze battling with that little Windclan rebel, and with the sudden shocked yowls of horror and fury around the clearing of Fourtrees he could tell exactly who'd won and gave Ashpaw a cold smile. "The only cats who're gonna survive will have the favor of the Righteous Ones anyways," he sneered in return. He began looming up, preparing his claws to seek his newest target. Fourtrees was alive with battling, screeching cats...

... including Larchneedle as he was slammed into from behind, letting out a shocked and startled yowl as suddenly he felt pain again for what may have been the first time in seasons. His green eyes glittered with fury as he registered the cry of Honeytongue, screeching for Spiderquill's vengeance. Larchneedle rolled seamlessly to his paws and whirled to face his attacker, hissing. The ShadowClan warrior's attention had been dragged from the scrawny RiverClan apprentice who'd charged up to Softpaw's defense, and Ashpaw had a clear entrance to charge into him, surprising him. Larchneedle cursed, and suddenly another opponent had charged in. He narrowly avoided Silverpaw's strike to his eye, and it raked just down his cheek. "No wonder all your Clans are crumblin'; you're too dependent on each other," he spat, and he immediately jumped on Silverpaw, clawing her hard.

Larchneedle passively gains Night Finesse, gaining +2 damage for the duration of the fight.
He used Rending Front Paws on Silverpaw, using 25 stamina and dealing 19 (17+2) damage.
