May Gathering 2020 [Sitewide Plot Finale]

Briarpaw hated all of the noise. The constant shrieking, the monologues coming from every direction. She wanted to crouch down and cover her ears- instead, she just huddled a bit closer to Redwolf, hoping that things would calm down soon. Just as she was about to open her maw to speak, Lavenderbreeze made a move on Morningpaw- and the clearing exploded around her. Before she knew if Redwolf had leaped away from her side and she was left alone, chaos erupting before her very eyes. She... She had to fight. Oh... Oh for the love of everything muddy! Looking to where Redwolf's bright pelt was, she launched herself towards her opponent. Luckily, Redwolf had her attention, she she had the element of surprise on her side.

Briarpaw used Run-and-Tackle, dealing -6+3 Health Points and using -4 Stamina Points. Night Finesse is active, dealing -2 Health Points.

Her eyes narrowed as she struggled under the weight of the starry she-cat, a hollow cough rattling her chest before she was able to wriggle from under her and stand tall once more, glaring at the she-cat. "Do your worst, Maggotstar."

Dappleshine is no longer stunned!

Badgerstar quickly reacted to Dustcloud's attack, exactly as she'd expected. Moving quickly herself, she attempted to spring out of the way of his teeth... And, to her relief, she was successful. "At least I don't exist under the false impression that I'm worth more than a rat's tail!" She spat back at Badgerstar.

Dustcloud used Lightning Reflexes, reversing -10 damage done, reversing the stun, and using -4 Stamina Points.

Zinnia rose, murmuring a thanks to Downpaw for having helped her rest, before charging into battle. She gestured to Plover with her tail before taking off without a word, saving her strength - she had built it as much as she could, and the time to spend it had finally arrived.

This was a similar affair, she thought, to the predator-cats; cats who looked and sounded like the rest but who were somehow other, cold and uncaring. They had tried to make peace, and been refuted. It was time for war, for revolution, for retribution. Righteous fury, truly righteous, ran through her veins, and she made her way to the cat that had taken Finchstar's life - lives, she supposed, but what did it matter when it was all at once?

This was vengeance for her fallen friend, for the leader to whom she had pledged her loyalty.

A test for herself, a test of her loyalty. One she knew she would pass. She lived for WindClan, now, just as much as she'd ever lived for the flower fields of her birthplace - how hard it was to live, sometimes, and how easy it would be to die, if it was for these cats she loved.

Not that she had any intention of doing such a thing. What a challenge, what a thrill, to live and to fight by the side of her clanmates.

A challenge she would rise to meet, as she had every other.

Zinnia pounced, as if the leader were little more than a piece of prey she'd been stalking, and pinned her down as best she could. "You," she said, voice dangerously soft. "You call yourself righteous... But I am here to avenge my leader, whose life you stole. Who among us deserves that title more, would you say?"

Zinnia used Leap-and-Hold, dealing 11 damage, costing 4 stamina, and pinning Galestar for 1 turn.

The sound of death...it was music to Cypressflame's ears.  She was thankful for it, that outspoken little rat had an annoying voice, full of defiant hope for a cause that was nothing more than scat,  Grinning, the torbie warrior let out a victorious caterwaul, haunting and chilling to the bone, before turning to see a WindClan warrior rushing her.  Excellent...WindClan has become just as tainted as ThunderClan in these later years.  I'll take joy in this.  As Goldengale leaped towards her, claws out, Cypressflame avoided the slashes and moved so that she was behind the warrior when she landed.  Silver-blue eyes flashing, she readied herself to counterattack. She sunk her claws into the tabby she-cat's hindquarters, feeling the warmth of blood awaken her senses.  Fighting is a game, and I've learned it well.

Cypressflame performs Dodge-and-Fight, costing 15 SP and negating Goldengale's attack.  Her counterattack does 9 damage.

Galestar turned as she heard pawsteps approaching, and she huffed as a figure that smelled of WindClan interrupted her concentration. An annoyed hiss passed through her teeth as she spat. "You could never understand, little Zinnia. You're a good cat, and a good warrior. I'm trying to help, please give me the chance." Would the she-cat believe her? Probably not. She wouldn't believe it if she were in her paws. If not, she'd have to defend herself long enough.

The starry cat dodged her leap, and Goldengale hissed in annoyance as their own counter landed. Whipping around, she feinted to one side with a blow before raising to her hind paws and lashing out with both paws in rapid succession.

Right. Foxfire wasn't surprised by Flowerthorn's choice, he knew that. She was loyal, he liked that about her. She never hesitated and would always do what was needed to keep SkyClan safe. So...Well, if leaving was that. "Of course," he murmured as he got to his paws, turning to follow after her. He...Did have a moment of hesitation, turning to look over his shoulder as chaos erupted suddenly and the fighting started. "...I'm with you," he said as he ducked his head and bounded after Flowerthorn and most of his Clan, hoping that the other Clans would be all right...

When fighting broke out, Ravenmist went straight for Brackenstar, fur fluffed as she approached the StarClanner. Cautious, but not hesitant. She leapt forward, slashing with her claws into the brown tom's flank. "Seems like tonight we'll see what a blind deputy is worth."

Despite the fact that there was bound to be bloodshed, Ravenmist was thrilled. She was fighting for her Clan, her honor, beside her leader.

Ravenmist is boosted by Night Finesse, adding 2 Damage to every move.

Morningpaw hit the ground. A StarClanner had stricken her. He snarled in fury, blind fury, leaping for the one who had hit his daughter. His tail lashed as he struck wildly, taking no notice of the others who had also leaped to Morningpaw's aid, his only goal to cause pain. This StarClanner would pay. Pay for what she had done.
