May Gathering 2020 [Sitewide Plot Finale]

Honeytongue hissed as the StarClan cat smoothly recovered from her surprise attack, only two be flanked by two more pelts. Her heart soared at the sight of Ashpaw and Silverpaw having joined in to help her, giving the two a soft smile and a quick nod of approval. That was until the rotten tom leapt at her apprentice, raking claws down Silverpaw's pelt. "Get off of my apprentice!" she snarled, anger quickly rising back as she reared backwards and slashed with all of her might to get the tom away from Silverpaw. "We are stronger together, you fish-gutted fool," she added. These cats were strong but she had taken down a badger with the help of her Clanmates once. They alone were strong, to be sure... But together, they were unstoppable.

Honeytongue used Rending Front Paws on Larchneedle, dealing 15 damage and costing 19 stamina.

Letting out a huff as the she-cat threw him off, Daisyflame quickly regained his balance. Rushing forward, the tom bent down and slid his claws across her soft underbelly. Great Silverpelt that's gotta hurt. Getting up again, the warrior made sure to keep his eyes on the she-cat, wondering what move she would try to pull next.

Daisyflame used Belly Rake, causing 17 damage and costing 4 stamina.

Spotlake watched in horrer as Morningpaw was striked down. "Morningpaw no!" Spotlake wailed. She ran over to her kit and slumped over Morningpaw's body. Tears fell down from Spotlake's eyes. "My little kit."

Spotlake looked up at the rightous few. "Why? WHY? Why did you hurt my little one? Why did you let a rouge kill my eldest kit? Why couldn't you let Splashkit become an apprentice. Why did you kill my father and my littermates? Why!" Spotlake wailed, grief in her voice.

Nightwolf watched as fighting broke out. And Nightwolf wouldn't have any of it.

Silverpaw gasped in pain. Her head reeled, and she was vaguely aware of the fight continuing around her. She staggered back a few paces, before glaring at Larchneedle with renewed anger. Well, that hurt. She kicked at his belly with her hind legs, tearing some of his stupid, starry fur free.

Silverpaw used belly rake, dealing 7 damage and costing 4 (10-6) stamina.

Streampaw wasn’t paying attention. She wasn’t, or else she would have seen Creeksplash charge at her. As she was being picked up at the scruff and shaken, she squeezed her eyes shut at the dizziness. Shaking her head and gasping for air, she was slammed into the ground, slightly stunned. Her head hurt. Everything was spinning around her...she squeezed her eyes shut, but that didn’t work either. Streampaw pushes all her strength to her shaking, weak, legs and snarled at Creeksplash. 

Streampaw is no longer stunned.


Ebonypaw spotted a ThunderClan apprentice who was being attacked by a Righteous Few she cat. Growling slightly, she blended into the shadows, and snuck up behind the Righteous Few cat. Then, she lunges at the ground, scratching the she cat’s underbelly. She nodded once at the ThunderClan apprentice, then snuck back into the shadows. 

Ebonypaw used passive Night Finesse.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a great weight collided with Cypressflame mixed with the sting of claws, and it mustered all of her strength to keep on her paws.  Wobbling away from the younger she-cat, she hissed in an annoying sort of way, as if this all was a mere inconvenience.  However, once she noticed who had attacked her, a maniacal grin invaded her already terrifying face.  "Ahh...hello little ThunderClanner.  I recommend you flee.  I will show no mercy to you or your despicable leader."  For that brief moment she was distracted though, Goldengale swept her belly in return, and Cypressflame screamed.  Teeth bared, she flipped back around to face the WindClan warrior; she would finish what she had started.  Pretending to charge directly at her, the large she-cat suddenly turned at the last second and grabbed the WindClan warrior's tail, digging her claws into the dirt as she pulled with all her might.  She heard a slight pop, possibly the sound of her tail dislocating, before pinning the she-cat to the ground and raising her paw for the next blow.

Cypressflame used Tail Yank, costing 10 stamina and dealing 10 damage.  Goldengale is stunned for 1 turn.

Ashpaw greeted his denmate Silverpaw with a nod and a smile, but his green eyes were still darkened by pain and anger, and it was clear to anyone that his usual cheerful nature was gone.  This was different from any other experience in his life; he was fighting ghosts, the ghosts were fighting him, and if he wasn't careful, they wouldn't hesitate to kill.  He had fought dogs, rogues, and illness before, but now...  With a yowl, Ashpaw jumped in alongside Honeytongue, but instead of going above, he went below.  Raking his claws along the tom's belly, he hissed a defiant reply.  "You're spoiled, you know that?!  So many cats wish they could have a home like the clans, where cats put others before themselves, and you were simply born into it!  Stop pretending like you're special just because you never had to endure that kind of hardship!"

With unsheathed claws, she brought down all her weight on the phantom cat's face, chest, and shoulders. She nodded in gratitude to Raventail while catching her breath, waiting for Badgerstar's next move.

She'd waited for this moment since the tortoiseshell body had been brought back into camp, and it was finally here. Delight ringing from ear to ear, a wicked smile gracing her maw, she bolted into her target, knocking her off her dear friend's mother.

With a hiss of frustration, Downpaw charged after Zinnia, hollering over his shoulder, "Come on, Ploverpuddle!" Over his shoulder as he did so. Zinnia had gone for Galestar. The one who'd murdered Finchstar. The one who put Softpaw into an unearthly slumber. Her. With a screech of rage, Downpaw bolted over, standing at Zinnia's side as the starry she-cat, growling. "You'd better have a good reason, or I'll shred you personally for my sister's sake."

Softpaw looked up at Galestar with wide blue eyes, relief, happiness, and a bit of pride in them. She'd been right all along. Galestar wasn't heartless. "Galestar, I-!" Her mew was cut short, however, by Aspenheart dragging her backwards. By her tail. She whirled around in protest.

"Aspenheart, wait! She's not, I mean she is, but she's--" Once again, she was cut off. But by something far worse. A crack. Morningpaw. Immediately, she whirled around, exhaustion forgotten, and dashed to Morningpaw, nabbing an herb parcel from Daisybloom on the way. "MORNINGPAW!!"

The screech echoed in eerie silence, then, as if it was on que, fighting erupted, both sides giving their all. SkyClan had fled, but a couple brave SkyClanners had stayed. Frantically, she rushed to the apprentice's side, shoving cobwebs at her left and right. "Get up, get up, get up! You're just a fuzz-headed apprentice, you can't be dead!"

Ivylight hissed as two cats approached, and with her front paws, clawed at the red-pelted she-cat, a grin lacing her maw. "Such pure blood. Such a waste." She snarled.

As the she-cat moved to kick her, Whinchatswirl effortless dodged it, swiftly moving to the side before striking back, although the she-cat sadly evaded her. "So we meet again, Blossompaw" She jeered, marbled pelt smooth and slick. "I must admit, I thought you'd have run away with your tail between your legs. Bah. SkyClan is no longer how it used to be. When I was deputy, we were feared! Now the other Clans see us as weak, because our blood is pure. Fight with us, join us, and maybe then you'll be enlightened."

Addershade pushed through the crowd. Snowpaw stared up at him for a long moment; then a tiny smile curled on his muzzle. He’d only seen his dad fight once, but Addershade was a warrior for a reason. He opened his mouth, but a yowl from near the Great Rock cut him off before he could speak. Suddenly, Fourtrees was so full of sound Snowpaw could hardly keep track of his own thoughts. All around him, cats were leaping and hissing and taking swipes at each other. This fight was different from the ones he’d had on the border. With the WindClanners, he’d had some reassurance that he'd come out alive and in one piece; the code said they couldn’t kill, so they wouldn’t kill. Even with the rogue who’d been stealing fish, he knew the rest of his patrol was only a yowl away. Here, the illusion of safety was gone.

But what kind of cat got their warrior name by being safe?

Not far from them, a dark-furred cat threw herself at a starry silver tabby. With a wave of his tail, a let’s go or good luck, Snowpaw scurried forward. As he closed in, he realized the she-cat smelled like ThunderClan—but they weren’t fighting each other now, so how much did it matter? Darting around, he dragged his claws across the StarClan warrior’s side with a wordless crow of triumph he didn’t quite feel.

Ivystar breathed a short-lived sigh of relief when Stormbringer rushed to help defeat Sunspark, nodding in approval as she attempted to slow her breathing. "I love you," She muttered before running towards Sunspark once again and bowling into his side. She didn't have the advantage of surprising Sunspark like she'd wanted to, but throwing all of her weight into him had to do something to help.
