From Shy to Wry

I had this small thought/idea.
This is my first plot-thing I'm sorry if it's bad

My character, Featherpaw of RiverClan, is an incredibly sweet and timid cat. One major flaw she has, though, is she lacks  confidence. This has caused her to almost die, because, when she was facing a tough situation, panic overwhelmed her and she wasn't able to react to the danger. Basically, she got attacked by Shade the rogue and was too scared to really defend herself.

What if, that changed?

Someone can unkindly tease her about being so easily terrified, and because she's so sensitive, will get really upset and contemplate this for a long time. First, she's really miserable about this, partly because she knows it's true. Shortly after, her thoughts grow more resentful and mad. Her mind is occupied with thoughts like, How dare they call me scared, or I'll show them I'm not pathetic! She slowly becomes scornful, cold and mocking, because she wants to 'prove' she's not a weak scaredy-cat. Featherpaw will snap at others (How the cat/s she snaps at react to this is entirely up to the RPer), and it becomes clear in the clan that she's fully transformed into a new identity.

I don't want my fav kitto to remain like this forever, so I'll need several (at least two) others to snap her out of her unpleasant daze (at least two because it will take some persuading). They can have long conversations (or whatever you want), that finally help Featherpaw realize how she has worsened. At last, she'll return to her previous, sweet character and will most certainly apologize to those she snapped at (again, how they respond, whether they forgive her or not, is up to their RPer).

One thing she's gained from all of this is her confidence has improved slightly. When she was in super mean emo cat mode, she felt high and unstoppable, which she has never but has always wanted to feel before. She wanted to remain confident, so she kept a little of it. She's still timid and kind though, but more secure.

Spot, Cinder, and Flame can be put in either cats she snaps at or cats that convince her, though I think Spotfur and Streampaw(future mate and all) should be the ones to convince her.

Cinderfall went through something like this, actually, he went through an Angsty Teenager phase and started to be mean and, well, Angsty. At his moonstone, his mother had him realise what he had done and he went back to his compassionate self.

Once he's apprenticed, Haze can be downright mean to her and then tease her about sensitivity. He'll be Thunderclan.

Goldeneye can totally talk some sense into her, she's p much a counsellor after all

She can snap at Nutfur a bit, and Nut will totally be confused at why Spot's sweet daughter suddenly turned on her.


Hillpaw would be 100% perfect for the cat who teases her. After having a similar interaction with Shade and reacting the exact opposite way, he would tease her about that forever. Everything he could tease her about, he would. Weakness, sensitivity, being easily scared, even being related to cats he considers traitors. His main goal about that would be ridding RiverClan of weaklings, hoping his teasing would toughen her up or make her run away.

You're right, Spot would help her, and she'd listen. =) She still loves her father.

- Flame seems to follow her around, seeking tranquility and refuge from all the hate or just rants to her and feather gets annoyed and hurts flame's poor fragile heart
