June's Gathering 2018

Lilypaw had been sitting alone for the moment now Thunderclan was nowhere to be found, and she really did not know any cats she could talk to beside the Thunderclan apprentice Echopaw great star clan I should socialize with cat's outside my clan more she figured that now no-one talked to her she could go into her little dreamer mode, dreaming of. Then suddenly a she cat stood right before her and talked to her. Lilypaw who was completely caught of guard quickly tried to remember what she cat had said Tigerleaf of Skyclan was something she remembered her saying and also asking her name. she hoped her guests were right other wise this conversation with this potentially new friend could become ferry award " Mhm Tigerleaf thats a nice name! I am Lilypaw of Windclan, nice to meet you!" she hoped this was a good conversation starter.

Stealing a careful glance in Silverfang's direction, Lichenpaw refrained from speaking until he was absolutely certain that the grouchy she-cat wasn't paying a full mind to him. Although it still felt as though the she-cat's odd eyes were boring a hole in his back, he now held enough confidence to straighten up to a more formal posture. "Pleased to meet you Brushpaw." He relented a slight, friendly simper to his newfound acquaintance. Cautiously peering up at Silverfang once more, the young tom's whiskers twitched at the lack of interest in him. "Things are well in RiverClan, despite the fact that we have enough cats to fill up at least four full Clans." Okay, so it was a slight exaggeration, but the point still remained. Leaning forward so that the pair were a tad bit closer, he avoided breathing in through his nose so he wouldn't have to catch wind of the muddy, off-putting scent of ShadowClan, "Although my mentor will probably chew my ears for telling you such a thing- she always has a thorn in the base of her tail."

Tansyheart followed Scorchfang into the Gathering, head held high. She knew the other Clans would be questioning of Littlestar's absence, but she would betray no weakness of her Clan. She had been loathe to leave her kits behind, but they were nearly old enough to be apprenticed, and she knew they would be alright for the night.

Ravenflight padded into the Gathering after Jaystar, gazing around at the cats surrounding her. The huge size of Gatherings never ceased to amaze her, as they were such a contrast to her daily life. She settled herself among a few cats, some from RiverClan and some from other Clans. She wrapped her tail around her paws, lost in thought, although not focused on anything in particular.

The impact of the ShadowClan cat sent Darkpaw tumbling backwards, letting out a hiss as she hit the ground. Angrily, she stood up, shaking her fur out to rid it of any twigs or dust she may of picked up. The black she-cat's blue eyes scanned up and down the other cat's body, with a slight hint of disgust, she didn't look like a cat from her own clan. Yuck! She certainly didn't smell like it either. The other cat let out a grumble of frustration, causing the hair along her nape to rise. "I could say the same for you, mousebrain! she hissed, her eyes narrowed. So much for being nice to other clan cats.

Pantherblaze entered the Gathering with his usual emotionless face. He sat down among his clanmates and looked around, noticing that his father, the cat he despised the most wasn’t there. That was weird. Do he die? He wondered. But the tom didn’t think about it too much when his eyes spotted Tigerleaf speaking to another clan cat. He couldn’t say that they were exactly “friends” but at least, after the fight against that eagle... she didn’t dislike him, just like Elmcloud. That was why, he felt a little bit closer to her than to other cats in his clan.

As Tigerleaf took a closer look at the gray she-cat, she realized with a start that one of the she-cat's green eyes was dull and glazed over. So her name was Lilypaw. An awkward smile twisted the edges of her maw upwards at the compliment of her name. It had occurred to her before, but a fierce prefix like 'Tiger' really didn't suit her. The young warrior had heard tales of the warriors of TigerClan before, and they were a far cry from her shy personality. Of course, she liked her name. She wasn't going to complain about it, but it was kind of ironic. If anything, she was named for her stripes. She sat down beside Lilypaw, wrapping her tabby tail carefully around her paws to keep it safe from being stepped on. "... Thanks. It's nice to meet you too." What was she supposed to say after that? Help. Resisting the urge to gaze around, Tigerleaf forced herself to look at Lilypaw. "Are - are you enjoying the gathering?" Memories of her conversation with Swanpetal of RiverClan at the last gathering flooded back to her.

Rookpaw huffed at the SkyClan cat. She bristled her fur, staring directly into the other she-cat's eyes. "Don't underestimate us ShadowClan cats," she spat, keeping her tail raised and puffed. She sized up Darkpaw before sneering, "and what Clan are you supposed to be from?" She half-expected the cat not to answer. That was fine; it just proved her point that the other Clans were not to be trusted. The ShadowClan apprentice tried to keep her pelt flattened as she lapped at her chest fur.

Lilypaw nodded at the question from the sky clan warrior " yes actually now I have someone to talk to, I kind of grew bored waiting for Thunderclan to arrive" she looked around the gathering with her one eye to see if Thunderclan had maybe arrived in the time she spoke of course not she laughed " I think by the time they arrive the sun wil be up"

IC: Spotfur limped into the gathering, his back leg entirely missing. A nasty scar had replaced it. He still staggered a few times and eventually, he completely fell to the ground near a Thunderclan cat that he knew very well... Violetfall. This was embarrassing, to say the least. He struggled to try and pull himself up. Dear Starclan, why did Shadefang have to do this?

Last, but certainly not least, ThunderClan entered the Gathering with the newly-named Leopardstar at its head. It took quite a bit of effort to keep his head held high, but the large tom managed to recapture some form of his old regality as he trotted across the clearing and leaped smoothly into the Great Rock, nodding a stoic greeting to the cats who waited there. Settling himself beside the only high-ranking cat who he was somewhat friendly with, Brindlewhisker, he waited for one of his rivals to call the meeting to begin.

In the shadow of the newly named leader, the dark tabby Marshstorm strode over to where he saw three other deputies. A glance at the top of the great rock revealed the fourth one, and he frowned. Did ShadowClan lose it's leader already? He forced back the urge to question the other cats about it, and instead nodded politely to the other deputies as he waited for the gathering to begin with apphrension in his pelt. He wondered if any shadowclan cats recognised him, or even opposed this. He doubted it though, a simple glance showed completely new faces except for the she-cat Blazeflight he had conversed with a couple of times.

"Greetings." He offered with a polite nod to the deputies. "My name is Marshstorm..." He paused, floundering a bit as to what to say. During the gatherings he made deliberate attempts to stay in the background, to blend in. Now, he would stand out. He made sure to sit tall and proud because of that, but even his calm was rattled by being in front of every clan. At least he wasn't on the great rock itself.

Falconpaw leapt into the gathering behind his SkyClan brethren. His heart light as he eagerly maneouvered his way around the gathering. Eager to see all the new faces. His eyes catching a couple other cats, but he didn't stay in any individuals gaze for too long. The four mighty trees had him looking up constantly in wonder. Had StarClan convinced those trees to grow so large? His yellow eyes widened in excitement at the idea.

Rainpaw followed behind Leoparstar, practically stepping into the pawprints the tom left on the soft silt around them. He took a turn, of course, to sit with the other medicine cats, grooming his chest fur and dipping his head in greeting. This time, he wasn't so cautious. He had already put most of his worries about Goldeneye to rest after making an effort to meet with the she-cat and establish good terms. He could only hope their clans followed in that sense, mending the long scarred wounds that came prior to his birth.

Wildfire sat with Newttongue, the two finding a nice spot to sit near the front. For once, she didn't feel so lonely. The empty pit that had been left due to RiverClan's actions was still painfully bare but having the black tom by her side provided some comfort. A comfort that she would actually allow herself to welcome this time. She still had revenge to get and a grudge that drove her forward but this wasn't going to stop her from making them pay for taking her sister.

Newttongue brought her out of her thoughts with a nudge and laid his tail over her own. He tried his best to distract the she-cat as much as he could. He held Thistlepaw's mission dear to his heart and wouldn't let his mate kill another cat. He'd keep her on the right path.

Birchheart yawned as she trotted into the gathering, pride still sparking in her eyes at the thought of her kit Palestripe earning his warrior name. She always knew he was going to be a great warrior, having his dutiful attitude and a level head. Perhaps he'd one day be a leader. She would curse StarClan if they took her before she saw him standing on the Great Rock with nine lives.

Boarpaw was too embarrassed to get any closer to cats, his molting, and already scarce pelt forcing the tom to remain near the edge of the clearing. He sat among tree roots of a nearby tree and looked around sheepishly.

Violetfall entered the gathering quietly after Leopardstar. She didn't trail far behind her Clan, staying near the center of the group of ThunderClanners attending. She settled closer than usual to the leaders, wanting this time more than ever to hear what they had to say, especially after so much leadership change. There seemed to be new leaders in several other Clans as well. She flicked her ear as a few RiverClanners approached, then gasped as one of them all but collapsed in front of her.

Spotfur.

In his weakened state, she almost pitied him. What medicine cat had allowed him to attend the Gathering in such a condition? Part of her wanted to leave him in the dust, because surely this was what he deserved. This grave injury that had befallen him was a fine payment for having almost drowned her. But another part of her knew that it was unkind to leave another cat like this, even her sworn enemy. So, as a gesture of kindness, she stepped forward and helped Spotfur to his feet.

She sat straight, mustering as much height as her small size could offer, trying to appear intimidating. "Spotfur... why are you at the Gathering, like this?" she asked, doing her best to act concerned, instead of taking out her frustrations on him and making a scene. But she had to ask one small question, something she had wanted to ask him for moons. She blinked, and she could feel the scar tissue above her left eye. "Why did you do it... what made you do it? And, do you truly regret it?" she mewed, in a small voice.

"Hello!" Echopaw sead to the brown tom next to him. (Falconpaw) "I'm Echopaw of ThunderClan. Who are you?" Echopaw eagerly awaited the young tom's response.
