January's Gathering 2018

Frostpaw noticed her brother Reedpaw sitting away from the mass of mingling cats. She padded over quickly toward him and sat down. "Overwhelming, isn't it, to see so many cats in one place!" She mewed excitedly.

Wisteriapaw padded into Fourtrees and stayed close to her brother, Featherpaw, as she entered behind Blizzardstar and with ThunderClan. There were way too many cats here, way too many smells, and despite the fact that Fourtrees was given its name because of the four tall oak trees that surrounded the clearing, the she-cat felt trapped within them. Unlike a lot of the other apprentices, Wisteriapaw was opposed to speaking with any cats tonight, even if they were from her own Clan.
"W-why are there s-so m-many cats here?" She asked Featherpaw, quietly, "W-why is Fou-Fourtrees so b-big?"
Her voice was trembling, but that's how it usually was. Maybe it would be best if she just stayed by her brother for now.

"Well, actually," Newtpaw began, continuing to hold his cocky grin. "This is my second time. I pretty much know the do's and dont's of Gatherings, so, I'm pretty set for life."
He had noticed that the she-cat was trying to hold back a laugh, but he had no clue if what he had said was funny or not. Either way, at least Poppypaw wasn't hissing or growling at him, so that was a sign that everything was fine.

poplarpaw ⚜

Poplarpaw followed Crowstar and his Clan into Fourtrees with eyes that gave away nothing. While he was rather curious about the other Clans, and the different scents and sights of Fourtrees, he didn't want to race ahead and cause destruction like an immature apprentice. While he was young, he knew how to control himself, and he was going to show it. His brown-and-white tail flicked behind him as he sat down with SkyClan, glancing around. If anyone decided to speak with him, then he wouldn't mind. However, he didn't feel like being the one to instigate the conversation. Plus, it was cold, and even though it was his first Gathering, he'd prefer his warm nest than the cold that was outside of it.

(OOC: Hope you don't mind, but since Reedpaw will become Sweetheart's mate -- well, RiverClan mate anyway -- I figured it'd be a good idea for the two of them to get to know each other a little more. :3)

Sweetheart approached Reedpaw, who was looking quite lonely. She had always focused on hiding her greetings with Scorchfang every Gathering, so it was about time she got to know some cats from her own Clan. "Mind if I sit here with you?" she asked the apprentice politely.

Littlebrook padded into the gathering behind Magpiestar with her tortoiseshell patterned fur fluffed out against the frigid air. Her short coat did little to keep her warm, but other than her fluffed fur, you couldn't tell. She made her way over to where the other deputies were and sat herself next to them with a friendly smile.

Emberheart sat near her fellow ThunderClan cats - her first Gathering as a warrior was as exciting in reality as in theory, although she wanted to avoid any tension. Besides, she could finally feel like she actually, really belonged among them, because she did.

Featherpaw, meanwhile, took her place by her fellow medicine cats, though she made sure to keep an eye on her brother. The last thing she needed was to have to drag the stubborn warrior back to camp with her in the middle of a gathering.

Rowantalon's hazel eyes brightened as he noticed the Thunderclan she-cat he had met a few sunrises prior. With a grin, he grabbed a small mouthful of wintertime flowers that grew nearby- dull, but they'd do -and made a beeline for her.
"Hey, uh, I mean-" He tripped and nearly dropped the flowers. "Um, s-sorry. I um, I brought these flowers for you because, uh... yeah."


Leafstorm padded into the gathering, his eyes fixed on his paws. For the first time in many sunrises, he was aware of his unkempt fur and ratty appearance. The tall warrior pushed his way through the crowd, trying to groom his fur as he walked.


Sharptooth grunted and looked around.

Weedblaze arrived at the gathering with the rest of his Clan, embittered by their loss to RiverClan in battle.

Patchpaw and Russetpaw walked in with Shadowclan. They sat next to each other. The two sisters didn't like to talke to other cats.

Cloudroar padded into the frosty clearing with his usual disinterested look on his face. His white and brown pelt fluffed our and his blind blue gaze closed against the cold wind. He usually kept his eyes open so his clanmates didn’t think he was asleep or not paying attention to them, but at that moment he didn’t care who thought he was asleep. It was cold and the wind was making him teary and there was really no point for him to keep his eyes open. It’s not like he could see or anything, so he sat with his fluffy tail wrapped neatly around his paws and his eyes closed but ears wide open.

Bonestrike smiled at Mumblepaw. "Hello there little apprentice. I'm glad to see you too." The tom said. He was glad to see some courage from the little cat. "What have you been up to in Skyclan lately?" The pure white tom asked.

Vierstorm gladly took the sot right next to Snailbelly. Sitting close to the tom, her fur brushing against his, finding some warmth in the large tom.

Tatteredleaf limped into the gathering area following after her leader. She didn't mind the stares from other cats, after all she was very scarred. She had an ear missing as well, along with a very damaged back leg that she couldn't really use anymore. But she walked confidently without much issues. Occasionally she would slip a little bit, but all she needed to do now was relearn how to hunt. She needed to do that.

The Riverclan deputy smiled a bit when Rippedsky appeared instead of Tinylegs. It seemed that he had finally recovered from his sickness and that he was ready to continue his work as a deputy. "H-Hi. I...I think we haven't t-talked before, R-Rippedsky. I...I'm Jaystream." He mewed shyly to the black and white tom. He only knew him because of the previous gatherings when he was a warrior but he doubted that the tom knew him. After all, no one knew him before he was the deputy.

His smile disappeared when Thunderclan arrived. The blue tabby tom glanced at Leopardclaw and he couldn't help turning his gaze away from him, remembering the scar he made him in his eye and the battle. Why did it have to end this way? Jaystream always respected the other deputies but now... the Thunderclan deputy must hate him. Who wouldn't?

Firestone walked behind his clan and he sat down next to his brother, nudged him friendly as a greeting. His green noticed that something was off between Thunderclan and Riverclan but he didn't say a word about it. They would tell them what was going on so he only had to wait.

Cedarstorm entered the Gathering and she sat down with her fellow clanmates, waiting for the leaders to speak. Not paying much attention to the other cats, she licked her paw. After all, her mind was only thinking about her sister. Her blue eyes glanced at Thunderclan with hate. One of those cats caused the deafness of Curlyfeather and she was going to make him or her pay.

Featherpaw rested his tail around her in a gesture of comfort. He should have realised Wisteriapaw would be a bit uneasy as he gazed at the towering oak trees around them, but the one thing that really stood out was the giant rock. It was massive... it had to be with the leaders sitting on it. His thoughts paused as his sister asked him the question, and he thought about it for a moment.
"Well, to support all of these cats... it needs to be. He suggested thoughtfully. He looked around the gathering cats, there were still more coming, and they didn't seem to end. He spotted Sharptooth among thunderclan and nudged Wisteriapaw comfortingly. "Do you want to sit next to mom?" He asked in a non-patronising manner.

"It's my first time. It's bigger than I thought it would be," she admitted, looking around. "I don't think it will be boring, anyways. I mean, just look at ThunderClan! I'm sure they'll have some choice words to say. And RiverClan isn't looking great either." Newtpaw still had the strange expression on his face, but Poppypaw decided to ignore it for the time being. If he kept it up, she might just say something.

Violetpaw padded into the Gathering with her Clan, sitting with a group of other apprentices.

Hazelpaw trudged behind her Clanmates, wishing the Gathering was over before it began. She hated being around so many unfamiliar cats. She settled herself behind as many cats as possible, willing herself to dissapear.

Specklefang padded into the gathering, her face solemn as she slinked in next to Leafstorm. Sunken, dark eyes flicked up her eyes catching Firestones and Blazeflights. She decided that she did not want to talk to either of them before quickly turning on her paws, hoping they did not catch her bulky form. While she considered the both of them good friends, she did not wish to interact with any cat.

Finding a place to the very back of the gathering, directly across from which the shadowclan and Riverclan cats sat she hunkered down. Her lip curled as she looked at the Riverclan cats, her daughter was dead thanks to those cretins and they would pay dearly for it if she had any say in it.

Sycamorepaw padded into the gathering behind Magpiestar and Littlebrook. The tom had ben instructed of where the medicine cats sat, and with faked confidence, he strode up to the group. With a dip of his head, he looked at each of the group individually before speaking at a comfortable, hearable level. "Greetings, I am Sycamorepaw. ShadowClan's medicine cat apprentice- and only medicine cat. Roaringblaze has gone missing after Honeydrop was exiled." he raised his head, taking a seat in front of the group.

Echoflame padded in beside her apprentice, Poplarpaw. She had instructed him on the culture and behavior of the gathering. She would let him roam, but keep a careful eye on him.

Hollowbranch followed Badgerpaw, much less concerned than Echoflame about his apprentice's Gathering time.

Raggedpaw walked besides Tatteredleaf, trying desperately to shield her from the stares.
