January's Gathering 2018

Duckpuddle padded into Fourtrees with RiverClan and attempted to keep her head held high. This was her first Gathering as a warrior, and it was a shame that it had to be in this condition. Her hind leg being held with a splint was still her key feature, and the newly-appointed warrior hated that with a passion. She hoped that nobody would approach her about it, because if so then she'd have to awkwardly explain what happened. Her eyes scanned the Gathering clearing, wondering if the ThunderClan cat the broke her leg was here, but she wasn't. In fact, ThunderClan itself wasn't even here. As she looked around for a place to sit down, she noticed Stormpaw, the WindClan apprentice who she had spoken with at the last Gathering.
"Hi, Stormpaw." She greeted the WindClan tom as she padded past but didn't provide any time for the tom to answer her.
Duckpuddle silently sat down with the rest of RiverClan and glanced up at the leaders that were on the Great Rock. All she hoped, for now, was that the Gathering would be quick and without any hostility, however, she sensed that once ThunderClan arrived, things would begin to get tumultuous.

Newtpaw resisted the urge to race into the clearing and simply padded in with his ShadowClan Clanmates. Of course, his head was lifted and his fur was fluffed up in an attempt to make himself seem larger than he actually was. It was a Gathering, after all, and he wanted to make himself seem presentable and like a cat who should be respected. He had surely matured since his last Gathering, because last time he had randomly said to a ThunderClan she-cat that she smelled odd. It was true, though, but maybe it was just an unnecessary thing to say. Feeling social, as usual, the ShadowClan tom padded over to the first WindClan cat that he saw (Poppypaw). Newtpaw wasn't specifically looking for a WindClanner to speak to, but it was just the first Clan that he looked over at.
"Hello," The tom began, casually but sharply dipping his head towards Poppypaw, "What's your name? I'm Newtpaw."

Crowstar lead his clan into the gathering. His long and fluffy fur isolating himself from the cold but he knew his clan mates wouldn't be comfortable with it for long, so he wanted to get this over with. The black fluffy leader didn't stop to talk to anyone but jumped onto the rock with the other three leaders, dipping his head to all of them. "Let's not spend a long time here please. I'm sure all of our clans want to get warm." The Skyclan leader suggested to the other leaders.

Viperstorm followed Ivystar in, she didn't look to the other clans choosing to follow Snailbelly and sit by the older warrior. The gray blue warrior didn't want to bother with anyone else but him, and maybe her father.

Bonestrike padded in after Magpiestar, not minding the cold, even if he was cold. His sight was more so focused on finding the little Skyclan apprentice he has run into a couple of times now. The white tom sat closer to an open spot, so if the apprentice so wanted he could join the Shadowclan warrior.

Badgerpaw padded in to the gathering looking down at the ground. The charcoal bengal eyes scanned the snow until he found a bunch of scents. He looked up looking up at the gathering cats. Would he see Graypaw here? He wondered how the she-cat was doing in Skyclan. He was far more interested in her than the leaders sitting on the rock.

Swiftpaw followed behind Crowstar, noting that WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan were all there. He didn't know if this was the norm, or if something wasn't right, but he continued into the clearing between the large trees and sat down. His fluffy coat of white fur helped him in keeping warm, so he never felt cold unless snow got underneath his fur. He felt bad for the other cats with thinner, less dense fur, and he just thanked StarClan for his thick pelt. As he gazed at the many cats around him, he noticed RiverClan stood out from the rest of the crowd. They looked like they had been through something rough, and he didn't know what. With his limited knowledge of a new apprentice, he wasn't really thinking about the possibility of a war, especially since he didn't see any other Clan with such wounds.

Dawnlight entered with WindClan, having stubbornly chosen to come despite his scuffle a little while ago.

Dandeliondapple came in with SkyClan, once again attending gatherings as a warrior. She had enjoyed being a queen and caring for her kits, but it had been irritating to be stuck in the nursery.

It felt like so long since he had run into the gathering after Crowstar. Unlike the fluffy leader, a chill cause him to shudder against the cold briefly. The aching in his lungs had begun to subside with the use honey and other herbs. Oceanlight, and Rabbitfoot, before her passing, had done incredible work. As he padded through the already gathered cats, Rippedsky shook the clinging snow from his pelt.

"Greetings," He meowed cheerfully, unaware of any tensions between the other clans. As of now, Skyclan knew nothing of what happened between Thunderclan and Riverclan. The black and white tom settled down to wait for the final clan to arrive. It wasn't late yet, but he found himself praying to Starclan that Thunderclan would make it here among the rest.

Mumblepaw walked slowly behind his father and the leader. Gatherings were still not his favorite thing. However, he found his gaze scanning the clearing for a large, white tom. His heart quickened at the sight of the kind Shadowclan warrior. Without thinking, he pulled away from Skyclan to mingle with the other clans, or rather one particular cat.

"Bonestrike! I'm glad you're here." Mumblepaw meowed, with a slight purr to his voice. He was happy to finally be around a cat that didn't seem to see any fault in him. Being around the older warrior was almost as comfortable as being with a clanmate. Is that disloyal? Is it wrong? He shrugged away the thoughts and shifted to sit next to Bonestrike, away from the wind.

”Hello, Duckpaw.” Stormpaw replied. His eyes darted to the splint for just a moment, but the she-cat had walked away before he had time to question her about it. He was curious, though, as to why most of RiverClan seemed to be injured. And where was ThunderClan? Stormpaw shrugged to himself and settled down with the rest of WindClan. He would hopefully hear the news soon.

Wolfpaw walked in after his clan. He looked around a little, he noticed that Thunderclan hadn't come yet.

Minnowpaw slowly walked in as one of the last cats from her clan and looked around. She sat down quietly.

Echopaw walked in and looked around. He walked around and looked at the diffrent cats.

Brownpaw walked in with Shadowclan and sat down. This was her first gathering. She looked at her mentor, Scorchfang, and saw him with a Riverclan she-cat. Weird She thought.

Raccoonpaw walked in with Riverclan and looked around. With nothing to do, he sat down and waited.

Goldenpaw strode in confidently, her tail high as she took her place with the other medicine cats.

Amberpaw rocketed in, stumbling over her large paws and landing once more, face first into the snow.

Mintpaw padded towards an apprentice (Minnowpaw) with a big smile. "Is this your first time?" She asked cheerfully, her murky green eyes bright.

Rowantalon and Willowheart padded into the clearing, the latter scanning the Riverclanner's faces curiously, looking for the she-cat who had been so fixated on Willowheart's sister.

Batfang walked way too close to Tinytip as he looked at the other cats with an annoyed look. Things weren’t going good with the two cats but he didn’t care as long he could protect her. He barely let her come to this Gathering. After what happened with that Thunderclan apprentice, the tom disliked the idea of letting his mate going out of the camp without him and being surrounded by cats from different clans. The charcoal tom sat next to her and wrapped his tail around her little body, protective.

OOC: I'm guessing you're talking to my Minnowpaw?

Minnowpaw looked at Mintpaw and smiled back at her "No it's not" she meowed "Is it you first time?" she then continued happly.

Sitting beside his mother, Stonepaw watched the other clans file into the snowy clearing. It was quite the chilly leaf-bare night and the apprentice pressed his pelt against Tinytip's in an effort to stay warm and also in a comforting gesture. He paid extra attention as the SkyClan leader showed, a trail of the dense forest dwellers filing in after him. His body tensed, not particularly interested in dealing with Pantherpaw again. But, who were Stonepaw's other half-siblings in SkyClan? What were they like? Did they hate him too? How would he know who they were?

Frostpaw padded through the snow with her Clanmates, excited to be at her first Gathering. She stood on her paws, not sure where to sit or who to talk to. The young she-cat watched the multitude of other cats pour into the clearing, fascinated and nervous by seeing so many other cats in one place. Frostpaw hoped she'd be able to make a new friend that night.

Brownpaw looked over and saw an apprentice and walked up to them. "Hi.. so what clan are you from?"

Poppypaw smiled at Newtpaw as he padded up to her. Her first Gathering, and she was already making acquaintances in other Clans. She nodded in return before replying. "I'm Poppypaw, from WindClan. And you're from ShadowClan?" she guessed, parting her jaws slightly to catch his scent. She had never met a Shadowclanner before, but this one seemed relatively respectable. I guess I'll have to wait and see what he's like, she thought.
