January's Gathering 2018

Brownpaw looked at the at the cat. "Yeah I'm from Shadowclan. My name is Brownpaw. This is my first Gathering. How about you?" She asked.


OOC: Uhh Brownpaw is a she-cat also let's just roll with the fact that Brownpaw was not talking to Poppypaw, but like I said, let's roll with it.

Newtpaw just grinned at Poppypaw, the WindClan apprentice, as she responded. Obviously, this she-cat wasn't terrible and was nice enough to engage in conversation with during this Gathering. Then again, their conversation had barely kicked off, yet.
"Yes, I'm from ShadowClan." He started, trying to keep a polite tone.
The greatest Clan in the forest, if you ask me. The calico tom thought as he flicked his long tail and put on a slight yet evident and cocky smirk. He knew that he couldn't get too friendly with anyone at the Gathering, because if he was to meet one of his acquaintances in a fight, then he'd have to put the familiarity aside and remain loyal to ShadowClan.

Mintpaw shook her head. "No, t-this is my second. I can't believe I d-didn't recognize you! What clan are you from? Shadowclan?"

Meanwhile, a small black-and-white she-cat approached a similar looking Riverclanner (Tinytip), ignoring the strangely protective tomcat. "Hello," She chirped, her amber eyes bright. "Can I sit here?"
She looked at the she-cat closely. Yellow eyes, black-and-white fur... If her suspicions were correct, then perhaps this cat was her mother. Why else would so many Riverclanners take interest in Willowheart and her siblings?

Blizzardstar finally arrived to Fourtrees with her clan walking behind her. She wasn’t exactly happy this gathering and her eyes were as cold as the ice that partially covered the river in this season. Her usually beautiful long fluffy coat was slightly tangled and even messy, as she hadn’t been able to properly take care of it. She felt her heart beating quickly as she hoped onto the Great Rock, knowing that hiding her somewhat pitiful appearance or those of her clanmates would be a futile attempt, especially in the cats with shorter hair as the wounds of the battle at Sunningrocks were still visible in most of the cases.

With Honeyspark gone ThunderClan had an awful time trying to recover from their wounds and she didn’t blame Maplepaw at all for this, after all, the poor apprentice had been only apprentice a sunrise or two before the war broke out, so without her mentor around and no other cat in the clan with medical experience she had to guess how in StarClan she was supposed to treat her own wounds as well as those of her clanmates for the most part. In all honesty, Blizzardstar had grown to respect the apprentice even more thanks to their perseverance when facing these awful times.

Brindlewhisker's ears and nose stung fiercely from the cold, and there were clumps of snow between her toes that were quite bothersome to say the least but it did little to slow her down as she padded alongside Ashstar. The two she-cats had held their usual soft chat during the duration of the trip, but for some reason the brindled Deputy felt a bit more content with the idea of attending a Gathering than she had in moons. Plunging down into the hollow after Ashstar, Brindlewhisker offered a soft trill of greeting to the Deputies who lingered in their traditional seats, quietly noting Rippedsky's reappearance.

Splashwillow felt a bit stiff and sore as she trekked after RiverClan to the Gathering, but a part of her felt much too anxious to stay behind- even if it did mean leaving behind her latest litter of kits. Padding side by side with Rainstorm, and often pressing against the dusky tom for a slight reprieve from the chore of walking, the calico Queen kept a close eye upon Snowblossom and Minnowslip, becoming slightly fretful over the thought of letting the two she-cats out of her sight. She didn't know what to anticipate from this Gathering, and she didn't like that fact one bit.

Elmcloud strode in after SkyClan with his chin proudly titled and his chest puffed up, for once not minding the prospect of socializing with cats from other Clans. After all, he needed some new cats to brag to, right? Shaking his head in a futile attempt to warm up his ears, the ruddy brown young Warrior eagerly shouldered his way through the throngs of cats, offering up careless nods of apologizes as he did so.

Honeyspark pushed her way in behind Riverclan. She was glad to return to her clan but she looked and felt ragged. Her worry and anger had made the usual kind and gentle she cat a mess. She also hated that they chose to bring her back instead of Lionspark. She was worried about the she cat but there was nothing the medicine cat could do. Flanked by two warriors she had entered the clearing. She had pushed passed them her fur bristled slightly before she made her way to the spot under the rock where the other medicine cats gathered.
She had glared ever so slightly at the two warriors as if daring them to challenge her for her going to where she usual sat. She made sure she put space between her and Cloudstone and his apprentice. She wrapped her tail around her paws the fur stuck up in different directions.

Owlpaw had come in behind Thunderclan

Cloudstone, while bulky in build, suffered from the cold. His fur was mostly short and did little to keep him warm. He was slower than his apprentice but eventually made his way to their place below the Great Rock. He was thankful that his irises were near black in color as he watched Tinytip and Batfang, pupils narrowed. Batfang had changed. He didn't know the tom well, but he had watched the other black cat grow up. The medicine cat made a mental note to keep an eye on him over the next few sunrises. He was so distracted by the odd behavior that he barely noticed WindClan's new medicine cat.

Fernfeather bounded up to Heatherpetal with a friendly purr, her one good eye glowing brightly. "Hi, Heatherpetal! It's great to see you again!"

Heatherpetal offered the friendly young warrior a weak smile, which turned into a shocked gasp. "Fernfeather, what happened to your eye?"

"Oh. Well... I was saving a kit from the Thunderpath and a monster threw something sharp out that blinded my left eye. Mottleheart and Featherpaw were able to remove the sharp thing, but there wasn't any hope in saving my eye." Very few things put a damper on Fernfeather's usual happy mood, but replaying the horrific events by the Thunderpath in her kind was one of them. It was just another reminder she would never be the best WindClan warrior. She tried telling herself that she could still be a good warrior yet, but her energy and joy was beginning to turn into a forced demeanor at this point, as to not worry her Clanmates.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. But at least the kit you saved is okay now, right?"

The WindClan warrior perked up a little. "Oh, yes! Coyotekit's recovering just fine!" ...Well, that wasn't an entire lie. The poor kit had developed amnesia and she had lost both her biological parents. At least now she was able to become the little one's foster mother.

Leopardclaw limped in a few paces behind Blizzardstar on his slowly healing leg, every muscle under his lithe golden rigid with furious tension.  His anger towards the RiverClan cats was still burning fiercely - not just because of their loss, but for something much, much more.  They had taken his daughter Honeyspark and fellow warrior Lionspark as hostages...knowing that he stood in the same clearing as those who had taken his beloved kit - and clanmate - away from their clan, it was taking all his self-control not to snarl at every river cat he passed on the way to the base of the Great Rock.  Unlike other times, Leopardclaw blatantly ignored Jaystream's presence, and settled himself near the edge of the group, on the other side of Brindlewhisker.  It was clear to anyone from the expression on his face that he didn't want to chat.

Laurelsong followed the rest of her clan down into Fourtrees, and for a moment she gazed around, trying to see if she could spot anyone she recognized.  Indifferent towards the thought of conversation, she decided to find a spot near the front of the crowd and wait for the meeting to begin.  Maybe someone would come up and speak to her this time.

Newtpaw followed Blizzardstar into the gathering, his expression bright with the chance to meet other clans. He was sick of the monotonous familiarity of his own clan, looking around for others to speak with.

Wildpaw entered the gathering as well, the apprentice wouldn't admit her fears of being surrounded by enemies all night and stayed pressed to Newtpaw. He had already received a good battering of sheathed paws for teasing her about it.

Birchpaw looked like she was on a mission. She'd die before missing the gathering, taking everything very slow to not mess with her tail. What was left of it, at least. She stayed in less populated areas to avoid somebody hitting the stump of a tail that was struggling to heal.

Maplepaw arrived with Thunderclan and quickly went to where the medicine cats were sitting. The apprentice felt her heart leap when she saw Honeyspark. She sat by her and gave her a wide smile. She decided on not saying any words.

Silverpaw arrived with Windclan and sat beside some warriors, intently listening to what they said.

Sandpaw arrived with Riverclan. She sat down and looked up, waiting for the gathering to begin.

Dewpaw walked behind Ivystar and the other riverclan cats timidly. She glanced at Honeyspark and was relieved to see her unharmed. The stories around camp really had gotten out of control. She tucked her little grey paws under herself and hunched down in the snow to watch the proceedings.

Kestrelpaw bounded with excitement behind Ashstar and the windclan cats. The little Siamese coloured apprentice looked around with eager blue eyes and couldn't settle on an individual cat to meet, so instead she ventured for a front row seat to the meeting. She didn't want to miss a word, her dark ears pricked up sharply.

Featherpaw made his way into the clearing with an eager vigour behind Blizzardstar and clanmates. His orange pelt sticking out conspicuously in the snow as he looked around. So many cats! His tail twitched happily as he anticipated making some friends. Though he understood that ultimately, they could only be friends in name... never in action.

Dustcloud padded into the gathering with a scowl on her face, fur unkempt and even a little bit dirty. None of her wounds were doing any healing, and her throat was hurting more than ever. But nonetheless, she found herself a place to sit, though she'd much rather stay in her nest back in camp, where she could think about the fact that they'd just lost a war to RiverClan without them sneering in her face about it. She made sure to sit near the back, not wanting to talk to anyone, period. She was as far from the crowd as she could get, while still being able to hear what was going on. She looked to Blizzardstar, a look of dismay and lack of hope settling on her face. That was when she noticed Honeyspark. She figured RiverClan had just allowed her to come to rub it in ThunderClan's face that they'd won, and now they were lacking a medicine cat. Her tail tip twitched and her ears fell back on her head. She looked back to the leaders once more, deciding it was better to just let it go.

Silentstrike saw Laurelsong sitting near the front, looking quite lonely. He decided since it had been a while since they last talked, that now was as good of a time as ever. He made his way through the sea of cats awaiting the meeting to begin and sat next to her, curling his tail around her from habit. "How are you Laurelsong?" He said in a bright tone. He looked at her, noting that she didn't seem to readily want to talk.

Poppypaw stifled a laugh as Newtpaw rearranged his features from a grin into an odd smirk. What a strange cat! She hadn't done anything, so clearly, he wasn't smirking at her. Toms, she thought. "Is this your first Gathering, Newtpaw?"

Reedpaw still sat near the edge of Fourtrees. The tom couldn't decide if he wanted to talk to someone, or not. He definitely knew that he wouldn't be talking to any ThunderClan cats anytime soon. His ears flattened when they spilled into the open space.

Whitepaw's eyes took in all the other clans, as ThunderClan was the last to arrive. This was her very first gathering, and she was excited, but nervous all at the same time. She stuck close to her clanmates. The orange she-cat would definitely not be the one to start conversation with another cat, unless of course the cat was from ThunderClan. Whitepaw was not one to go up to another cat and just start chatting.

Tawneypaw walked in with SkyClan. The she-cat stayed close to her mother during the journey, but when they got to the clearing she decided to let her mother have some space. All of her siblings had only recently become apprentices, and Tawneypaw knew that her mother was a great and fierce warrior before having her and her siblings. With that on her mind Tawneypaw wandered around the clearing and associating herself with the four other smells that co-mingled at Fourtrees.
